The usual itinerary for this trek starts at Manali in the morning. From Manali you would depart to Gulaba in a Taxi. Gulaba is the starting point of the trek and is a 22 km drive from Manali. Gulaba is on the road to Rohtang Pass at an altitude of 2600 meters. The trek starts from Gulaba towards the first camp site which will be at Rola Kholi. Rola Kholi is at an altitude of 3810 meters. The trek to Rola Kholi is 7 km. This means it will be a gradual hike.Gulaba and its surrounding areas have been a tourist attraction for a long time. This walk to Rola Kholi from Gulaba will give you amazing views of the valley below. You can see the Manali town far down below, tinier than you have ever seen. You can make out the beautiful Solang valley and the Beas river from this height. You will also be able to see the majestic Himalayan peaks around you. After a little under 4 hours of hike you will reach Kolang Nullah, you would cross the Nullah using the makeshift wooden bridge you would find. Remember to carry sufficient water with you, as Kolang Nullah is the only source of water after you start from Gulaba. From Kolang Nullah, the camp site at Rola Kholi will be a little under 2 hours of trekking time.Rola Kholi is well protected by mountains, there are mountains covering all the three sides of this camp site. This makes it a good place to camp as the mountains prevent the cold and fast winds. The mountains also provide a great view which you will enjoy. The camp site has a water source close to it. Take care not to pollute the water and the water source while camping here.

It is located at a distance of 540 km from the national capital, Delhi and only 250 km from the state capital, Shimla. This proximity makes it an easy weekend getaway to come and enjoy some quality times at hills at.The snow-covered landscapes of Manali grab the attention of local and foreign tourists, making it an apt choice for those who want to see snow or indulge in snow adventure sports.Manali is an absolute beauty during winters when it snows heavily here. Even during summers, the charm of Manali does not fade as looking at the vast, green meadows of Manali is a treat to eyes.
