If I could give it lesser then 1 star, I would.This hotel has been renamed as Hotel Royal Kaushal but then locals still know it as Narayan. Please dont fall for the pictures they have put up on their website. Theyre heavily misleading.I visited this hotel in June 2019. We were promised a 3 star hotel by our travel agency and were heavily let down as soon as we entered this hotel.A very pungent smell persisted in the entire hotel.Its a very old, shabby and dirty hotel. The first floor rooms were covered with an old carpet which again resulted in a musty smell inside the room. The bathrooms, though clean, smelled horrible! HORRIBLE. Half the flushes were not working, some overflowed.They upgraded us to the second floor, to the so called better rooms. Those rooms looked like they havent been cleaned for days. The floor was covered in dust. The bathrooms still smelled horrible.The bed had hair strewn across the mattress. Sheets were dirty. There was literally daal splashed across one of the walls.When we pointed all this out to the manager, instead of being apologetic he said, his words and I quote, Mein bakwaas nahin sun sakta. He started misbehaving and asked us to change the hotel.We ultimately did ending up changing our hotel but the one night we spent there was a torture.The food was so bad, uncooked even. The staff didnt pay heed to any of our needs. They made us wait an hour for breakfast and when they finally ended up bringing it, it was as if they were throwing it in our faces. So uninterested. So unprofessional.They completely ruined our moods. Awful experience. Would never recommend this hotel to anybody. 0/10.

On my trip with my family to Simla, Kulu and manali during june 2015, I booked two rooms in Hotel Narayan, Manali through Holiday Todays Online being excited with the advertisement given by both Holiday Todays Online and the hotel in its website. We went on road from Shimla to Manali and reached at 6pm at Manali after visiting Hidimba temple and Buddhist monarchy. No body could tell us the location of this hotel including the driver and when I rang up the hotel many times no body responded. Even when I contacted Holiday Todays Online. After a lot of difficulty, we could track the hotel. When I entered I find one man is always sleeping near the counter. when I inquired, he puzzled and then called another person. the reception was full of dust and it seems that no body stayed in the hotel for long. However, they opened two double bedded rooms booked by us. The rooms were well furnished, location was good, snow peaked mountains were visible from all windows but maintenance was very poor and so also the sanitary condition. It appears that were the only occupant in the hotel on that night. My family members were afraid. Even nothing was available including tea though the advertisement indicated that it has a good restaurant. In the evening I met the manager of the hotel and he said that as the lease period was expiring on 15 june 2015 they replied with abusive language and said talk to your travel agent not us, he decided to close the hotel from 15 june 2015. I was astonished how a reputed organisation Holiday Todays Online booked rooms for is in such circumstances. At night , I have to purchase some food items from a near by Dhaba and on next morning from a near by restaurant. Even the hotel did not make any entry for us in any register. I was shocked to have booked in such a hotel and advise all readers of this article not to book such hotels being impressed from details and photos given in hotels websites. It would have been better, has Holiday Todays Online given us any hint of the same. earlier I booked Jamnagar Hotel through Make my trip and it was excellent but this time I was worst experience in my life.

Hotel narayan is very good. location food and service is very good. my family enjoy this place. staff and managment is very coperative..........good place in manali.
