The temple is popular for lord saneeswara bhagawan. The idol is about 21 feet height and special pooja and abishegam occurs on every Saturday 12 noon. The temple is located in the kalpattu village which can be approached by road only. The nearest railway station is villupuram and the devotees can take a cab to reach the temple. One can also reach mambalapattu from villupuram or thirukoilure by private or government bus and can catch a cab or auto from there. The temple is approximately about 2-3 Kms from the main road.

A special anointing and special liturgical ceremony was held at 9.30 am for Kalpattu Yoga Saniswaran Bhagavan, a 21-foot-tall man near Villupuram. Special anointing services are held on a Saturday from 12 noon to 1 p.m. The temple is located on an 18 km inscription on the way from Villupuram to Thirukovilur.

Head structureBuilt by Lord Brahmananda, this temple is a place of worship. It is a myth that Saneeswaran Sannathi used to have a meditative sitting position. The statue of Ganapati found at the entrance was found in the pond here. The statue is considered to be the Ganapati worshiped by Deshinguraja who once ruled the region. Valampuri Ganesha is also seen in this revision.The history of the temple is known for the statue of Lord Sani in the temple. We know that Saneeswara has a leg mark. The reason for this is that Sanibagavan looks after the child born for the blessing of Ravana Saga. This enraged Ravana who broke the road of Saturn. Accordingly, the statue is designed in such a way that one leg of Saneeswara is in his vehicle crow.Saneeswarar is often regarded as an evil god. But Saneeswarar is the one who punishes only those who do wrong. There is no need to offer anointing prayers or new clothes for him. Saneeswarar is the one who resolves the grievance. In the Kalpattu Saneeswarar Temple, not only Saneeswarar but also the supreme Ganapati, 11 feet high Panchamuga Eeswarar, Panchamuga Anjaneyar, Dandayuthapani and 18 feet high Ashtadasapooja Durga Ammaiyar are displayed in separate shrines. If planets like Saturn, Ketu, Sun and Jupiter are experiencing evil effect due to eclipse then it is best to worship all of them.Leave at 7:30 p.m.It is a myth that if one worships Saneeswara and Goddess Durga at Italam and comes around the temple and recites the Surya Gayatri Mantra one hundred and eight times and submits the lotus flowers to Sanibagavan, one will get rid of 12 types of Saturn doshas including Ashtam Saturn, Ezharai Saturn and Kandakach Saturn.When to go?Arulmigu Saneeswarar Temple Walk is open from 6 am to 12 noon and from 4 pm to 9 pm. Also, special pujas are held for Saturn on Saturdays every week. It may be beneficial to light a sesame lamp and pray on that day.
