One of the historic temple located in Kandalgaon near malvan. Its a temple of lord Shiva. Few theories shows that this place was build by King Shivaji Maharaj while they were working on the construction of Sindhudurg Fort. The many years old big tree of pimpal is there exact in front of temple which is plant by King Shivaji Maharaj when the visited the temple. Big statue of Shivaji Maharaj is also there! Many spiritual persons visit this place for many times!

Situated deep within the heart of the town Achara, it is a temple of lord Rameshwar worshipped and highly regarded by the locals. Everything carved in this temple is the work of locals some 600 years ago even before the time of Shivaji. Gavpalne is a tradition that is followed here every five years and during this time, the villagers have to reside outside the village. The entire village of Achara has been a gift from Shambhaji Raje, the son of Shivaji to the temple trust or Devastaan. Rameshwar temple has a great political as well as devotional backup and is one of the most influential authorities of the area.

It is a historic temple built in 16th century. Its chief interest is the approach about 250 yards long, cut through rock fifty feet deep. The idol, a four-armed figure seated on a bull, is of solid silver said to weigh a hundred kilograms and is in good condition at present. Its peaceful place and the architecture is colorful. The architectural patterns of the temple building shows that it has been expanded at least three times from its establishment

Stacked stones while collapsing the fort The construction was constantly interrupted. Maharaj was distressed. At the same time they got vision. Grama Dave Shri Rameshwar of Malvan came to his dream. On the north side of Malvan, my pinda is in the open, stand first in the umbrella and start building the fort. In the vision given by Rameshwar, Chhatrapati Shivaji wanted to go to the north. In a mustard of the forest, the lower part, the Kandalvan, the water and the muddy swamps, the pinda was found. After this, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj built a night dome on Shivpindi according to Rameshwar. To prevent the use of water for self-styled water, he raised a turban on all four sides of the dome. A tree sprout plant was planted in front of that dome. The Vada tree is now known as the father of Shivaji. After the dome was built, there was no hindrance in the construction of the fort and the completion of Sindhudurg fort was completed. This festival is one of the more reinforcing the names of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Kandalgaon and this testimony of todays generation of this relationship.
