Dewari/Deori literally means brother-in-law. There were quite few such named temples around the region. It is also known as Bheem-Kichak temple. The dome or shikhar of the temple has been completely ruined. Only the side walls are standing. Walls are exquisitely sculpted. There are many sculptures which looked like a strong man, may be Bheem, which is why it could have been named Bheem-Kichak temple. There are few big sculpted heads in the lawn of the temple which were reminiscent of Easter Island heads though not of that scale in size and antiquity.

Jai Johar Sangwari HoIt is the Bhima Keechak temple in Malhar, it is also known by the locals as Dewar. The name of the temple was Bheem Keechak because of two idols Bhima and one named Keechak lying in the temple premises. The main shrine of the said temple Purva, whose gate has unique sculptures of Ganga and Yamuna on the branches, Shiva Gana and very beautiful artefacts on the spades is completely destroyed. The temple is said to be composed of the sixth to seventh centuries by the Archaeological Department. It is an important place in terms of tourism. Whenever you visit a tourist place, take care of the cleanliness of the place.Thank you
