The Hotel is good in decoration, position. Atmosphere inside the hotel is cool. But the quality of food with respect to price is not satisfactory at all. In veg thali they do not give proper items. Overall experience not good.

Raj hotel is located in Rabindra Avenue, the heart of the city and that too at fowara more ( main road crossing with a fountain in the middle). It is close to post office, court, hospital etc and therefore enjoys significant footfall round the year. We learnt that you need to book a room pretty well in advance else you’d end up leaving the hotel empty handed. They have a very nice restaurant in the ground floor. But there was a huge crowd of outside people who were not boarders particularly during the lunch hour. So we had to wait for almost half an hour before we could grab a table. Food was excellent!! I must admit. They make those fish preparations really good. Staff was rude, lacked courtesy but then who cares so long you get what you need. To sum up, I’d recommend this hotel to a fellow traveler.
