It is an important state government office for rural development.This important office is controlled by English Bazar Block Development Officer though it is situated at English Bazar Municipality. The road in front of the office is much narrow for such important government office.From Mahidipur to Sovanagar and from Bhagirathi river bridge at Madhughat to Mahananda river bridge at 420 more -- are the four direction of English Bazar Block. Besides this office there are other government controlled office like English Bazar Panchayat Samity., West Bengal Tribal Welfare Office, West Bengal SC,ST Welfare Office and other government controlled offices.Thus this is the main administrative Office of the English Bazar Block.
