Severe quality issues with the work. My home is constructed just 5 years back. Interlocking bricks are now bulged out and gypsum plastering on the wall is ruined. Not recommended at all

Is Interlock Bricks profitable?In my experience, I can tell you how profitable Interlock is in places where cut stone is readily available in the Malabar area and a review by a company called Building Designers.Let us first look at the Interlock Brick vs Conestone Price. In my country (Kannur) it costs Rs 34 per cut stone including transportation & loading and unloading. When the interlock brick was delivered to the house, it was Rs 31 per brick. Now, if you ask how much interlocking is equal to one interlocking stone, you will need 2 interlock blocks (0.35 x 2) to fill the area where one interlocking stone (0.73 sqft) is placed. Now you can buy a cut for Rs 9 to build it. A two-and-a-half cut will cost Rs 18 and so on. The current rate for laying a red stone is 18 to 22 rupees. If we look at it like that, we can see that there is no big profit in labor.One of the benefits I felt was that the work would be done quickly and that some cement and sand would suffice. Then it is cheaper to leave it unplastered. But the building designer does not recommend doing so.As far as the workers of this company are concerned, the bricklayers are very good builders. They work from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. I have had a mixed experience with shuttering work.Now Supervision - When I first spoke to the company, they said that they did not charge any supervision in advance. But they are buying the first installment of Super Vision for about 20-30 per cent .It did not seem like a good idea. Even if they had to stop work halfway, they would have collected twice as much supervision charge as they did. It cost me Rs 2 lakh to build up to the lintel but the supervision charge for that stage was Rs 43000. When the concrete stage was up to Rs 4 lakh, the second stage supervision was asked to pay the charge. That is Rs 85000 supervision for working for Rs 4 lakh! This did not seem to be a convenience to me. Thus, the contract with the company was terminated and the rest of the work was done by the local people.If you ask the supervisor what he is doing, he will visit you while you are concreting. Since I was in the country, I was the one who told everything from the workers.And another thing the company said was that they have a link with many distributors so the material will get a good discount. They are lowering the price of bricks by Rs 3. No discount on any other material. I was called to pick up all the cement and wire and was told to pick it up locally.In short, if there are workers in your country who work in a reasonable manner, they will not have to spend lakhs just in the name of super vision charge. Now this company can be considered if you want to get the job done very quickly.
