Being informed that my son graduated college we felt that this is an occasion we should celebrate considering he passed all his subjects for 4.5 yrs seamlessly which was a mean feat at Mapua.Searching everuwhere on the net I came across a deal now being offered by Spectrum at Fairmont Hotel at Metrodeal named Buffet ala Minute for 1,380 only. Previously their buffet costs 2,700 to 3,100. I immediately booked 4 vouchers and emailed the restaurant for reservations and in just under 30 minutes I got a response asking for details and upon confirmation they immediately emailed a link so that we can each create a QR Code for Makati Contact Tracing.Upon arrival we did the mandatory contact tracing then we were immediately escorted to our seats. One thing Ive noticed was the tables are spaced far from each other, hence you feel safe and private. Buffet is ordered ala carte and their menu was not really large but what they have was quite good and presented nicely. Menu includes Moroccan, Indian, Chinese, Italian, Chinese and French Dishes. Dessert was quite good and the service was excellent. Also note that you get a round of free coffee or tea. All in all we had a great lunch. What we mostly enjoyed were the dishes that were presented in small portions nicely.
First time having lunch at their Spectrum Buffet. The hotel is great, typical of the 5-star ambiance, staff are courteous & pleasant to talk to (tho we wished we were allowed to sit inside Spectrum 15 mins before their opening). The food is good but the array leaves much to be desired. Not too manny choices considering its high price. Ended up full and content with the limited offerings. Moving on with our quest for the best.
There is no spectrum in Spectrum. The food was too limited not what you expect from a grand hotel luke Fairmont.I enjoyed the dessert though. The service was good...everyone was very attentive. The ambience was a bit dark...dined with a group of (what looks like) businessmen and office managers who were distressing by laughing and talking out loud...made the place look like a beer joint...and the table setting...it looked good but I dont think this does not fit buffet dining.
Probably.my favorite hotel buffet in the Metro. It does not offer everything like the Dusit, Shangri-la or Sofitel buffets but it does have 85% of what I want in a smaller cozy atmosphere. It also is more affordable with constant credit card promos that take the price to P1300 all in. This ensures that one does not feel compelled to overeat to get his moneys worth.
I can say that among all the other hotel buffet restaurants with the same price range, they have the least number of food choices. Though the appetizers and main courses taste is just average, they made it up really well with their deserts and service. I cant really give them a bad rating because there is nothing wrong with their food, place nor service but I would rather eat at spiral or ever resorts world instead.
We celebrated two birthdays here and they provided a delectable chocolate cake. I can’t forget that taste. It’s too delicious. The ambiance and service are great. Staff are very attentive and courteous. The lighting is quite dark for me.Coffee tastes ok. Also, the food choices is quite limited.Reserve a seat near the buffet area. Otherwise, you will be seated at near the bar, where the ambiance is much better but far away from the food – quite a walk.Toilets are outside.Lastly, what I didn’t like is when I saw a female chef shouting out loud because she was angry with her colleagues. That one is a truly negative vibe. You should be enjoying your food/meal and not seeing a stressed staff in the kitchen. I could have informed her manager about the attitude but I chose to ignore. I hope she will not repeat that.Overall, I’d eat here again if there is a discount, but I’d still choose other buffets than theirs.
Food is ok. Variety is not that much but its a good sampler of international cuisines. Nice ambiance. Limited parking space if you drive your car. 5 star to the all the staffs
Food - generally okay.Chef - need to enhance the way how to interact with the customers. regardless of the attitude of the other customers (as some are just naturally bitchy), the chef shall still demonstrate cheerful attitude for the sake of other customers.Customer experience - generally okay. Wirth the price.Just enhance the attitude of some chefs (girl chef).
A bit pricey compared to other buffet restaurants. Not much food selection . Taste is acceptable enough for the palate. Ambiance & location is the only positive comments i can give
If youre paying regular price, the Spectrum buffet is really expensive and is not gonna be worth your money. We had 40% discount because of my credit card. It has few selections albeit tasty dishes. DRINKS ARE ALSO NOT INCLUDED.The standouts were the risotto, roast beef, grilled/pan fried shrimp. You can think of Spectrum as Vikings but fewer food selections, classier ambiance and good service. These last two are already good reasons to come back! I would definitely go back for special occasions - with my credit card discount of course!
Only a handful of dishes that change every lunch and dinner. But the food quality is great.
Limited food selection. Service was very good. Too dark for a family dining.
Not as many dishes as other hotel buffets but well-curated. Staff are all attentive. You can ask for special order dishes like the cheese pizza that the kids loved very much.
Service is excellent as expected from Fairmont. Ambience is great for dates or intimate group settings. Upscale but not overly so. Classy. Food has a great selection and variety of cuisines including Filipino, Indian, Japanese, and Chinese. A lot of the food is only 3/5 or 4/5 though. If they have a 5/5 dish I didnt find it. If you like unlimited sashimi, you should try this place out. You wont see it as part of the selection though, you have to ask the chef behind the counter for it.
Lovely restaurant excellent drinks, great fries!
Buffet was good! Though, nothing out of the ordinary. Really liked the place and the staff, very nice for gatherings or just to hang out
I can’t comment on the food because I left after waiting patiently in line to be seated and the young lady seated others behind me! First time for this kind of disrespectful service at any of the many Fairmont properties I have stayed!
I dont think anyone from Management actually reads these. Seriously, turn up your lights. We know youre going for an atmosphere of intimacy or whatnot, but it really isnt working and is too dark. Now, the food. Atrocious to say the least. You get such limited choices. And all of it are of subpar variety compared to other intl buffets in the metro. Premium selection of beef and pork? Very disappointing and tasteless. For the good stuff, the chocolate cake and your hot beverage selection of tea and coffee was good. And your staff is truly attentive and accommodating. They were the saving grace of this otherwise disappointing evening. And yes, I concur that the place was filled with too much noise with the table proximity from each other at only an arms length.Even with the BDO offer, I dont think I will be returning anytime soon.Very disappointed.
Very good buffet experience. Fresh and tasty choices
You pay for the ambience. Some dishes and desserts are really great.
Food not too many choicesI may say, ive tasted better go toHole across the wall jointsBetter than this, although exquisiteChoices of ingredients abound
The food selection for today was rather disappointing. The roast beef was tough, the Ceasar salad lacks some ingredients, ran out of cola zero and the shaved ice meant for halo-halo dessert were more like mini ice cubes. Not reflective of the five star rating of the Fairmont hotel Manila.
The selection is few but what they lack in quantity, they make up for quality. The food is excellent and the staff is very accommodating. Another thing I should note is that they hired a midget for their desserts bay which is very commendable.
Not much choices in food. Food quality is average. Serving staffs are very attentive. Kitchen staffs on the other hand looks unhappy in their job, not a smile on any faces.
Good food, nice place and very accommodating staffs
Service is great (this was provided by J. Cua and a wait staff that has eye glasses but I forgot his name), food choices aint that big but would still fill you up and would still be satisfied with their choices. Food were under seasoned but I would prefer them to be under than over (but adding a little salt along those satay skewers when cookinh wont hurt 😃). Seafood that are being cooked upon request are not being served to your table number as it should be, its quite inconvenient to be back and forth to the counter just to get your food. Sashimi offering, got a few slices of tuna and salmon, its good but it doesnt taste that fresh. Steak tastes good. And the dimsum offerings, they are very tasty. I love their pork and shrimp dumplings and their glutinous rice parcels.I just noticed some things that needs to be improved on...We were there, just when the buffet lunch service start to be exact around 1158am , and when we got there the food at the buffet set up are already there but no place cards, no serving spoon. So you have to look for the wait staff to get these utensils. As a frequent guest to other hotel cafes, these should be in place before the service starts. The chefs at each of the station arent that friendly, you wont feel welcome to ask them for this or that.
Great food, surpassed only by the staff who will attend to your every need.
Steak was a bit dry. But other dishes were good.
Great food and cozy ambiance. Will definitely come back.
Enoungh for breakfast. clean, and many kind of food. fresh fruit juice, and coconut!
Hmm... tried it the place twice... But ahhh still the same ... good quality and taste.. Hmm so sad... just too hype up...
Great service and good food
Hotel buffet spreads can be pretty overwhelming. But not Spectrum. Its just the right size for a buffet, and the foods always great.
The fresh juice had too much syrup, even though I said “NO sugar pls”. There are more seafoods, fruits & veg in other breakfast buffets (in other 5-star hotels).
Wide array of international dishes; courteous staff; easily accessible in the Makati shopping district with ample parking
I liked the buffet very much
Liked th food and the options available for all😎
Decent buffet.Although the cuisine served is from India, japan, philippines, Korea etc., The spread is not actually that big. The desserts are very asian and may not be to everyones taste.
Best Buffet in Makati. I went there many times. Pasta were delicious.
Very so so for the price they charged. Nothing really bad but could not remember any food I could recommend.
Great buffet but I suggest only getting it if its included with your room. Its like 30 bucks US for breakfast.
They have a cast diversity of delicious food here, and the staff are very friendly and professional.
Selection just okay, nothing really rave-worthy. Laksa was weirdly a dry type, not the kind with the rich, thick broth
Great treats for hard working couple.
One of the best lunch buffets in Makati!

Numerous, yet abundant selection of dishes.
No nonsense breakfast buffet 👍
One of my fave buffet places
Food was meh ok
Good food
Not bad at all
Food is great.
Great buffet!
Great food
Good to eat
👍👍👍
Rich buffet, professional service, central location, beautiful view.
Most of the food is good, but the dinner buffet 3000piso is more expensive than other nearby hotelsDropped.
Very rich buffet-style buffet.
Seafood is very delicious, except for sashimi.
There are not many types compared to other hotel buffets but it is delicious!
Accidentally transferred in, the food is general, the variety is not yet 101, but in the service and the environment, it is worthwhile to have something. The price is 2499p/person.
