The most overrated place for food. There were only 6 small prawns for a portion priced @ 420/- . The chicken was too oily and felt that oil used to fry was not fresh. Also paid 400/- for a glass of mulberry wine of 200 ml.Prices are 5star hotel but quality, portion and service is not even 1 star. This is coming from a foodie who has been in hospitality industry for almost 20 yrs

Post Lock down (Covid)We visited the restaurant on weekend and to avoid crowd we took parcel from here. The place is located on one way lane and has tight parking space, so good luck finding one. It took approximately 30 minutes and one of the restaurant staff came to our car and handed us over a large box (just like a cake box you get from bakery). The box had pretty neatly kept food items.Lamb Burger, mash potato & salad, pasta alfredo, french fries, lamb shank. We ordered all this in dinner for 2 adults, 2 children, and we all loved it. As expected kids avoided eating salad. All I can say is The Grapevine is the best place to have Parsi and Continental food in Mahabaleshwar.

Forget the food . The owner will himself addresses enquiries about the food and experience you’ve had in the restaurant. This I think speaks volumes about the place.Had gone to Grapevine for lunch and absolutely loved . If you love Parsi Cuisine you should definitely have The Grapevine in your calendar when in Mahabaleshwar .The Dhansak is the best I’ve had thus far . Missed out on Patrani Fish though since they did not have it .A prawn starter - name which is cannot recollect was also out of the world .Definitely a must visit place when in Mahabaleshwar.

Its a small cozy place, which is famous for Parsi and Continental food. Tried out Dhansak (both veg & non-veg) Chicken burger and Keema pav. Preparation was good. The quantity of food is less is less when compared to the price point. Service needs attention. When asked about drinks, only soft-drinks were offered. It was later clarified that we did not specifically ask for alcoholic drinks. One additional item was included in the bill, which we had not ordered. Hence mixed reviews.

Awesome place. Gives you an old school feel. Loved everything. We ordered crab burger, lamb burger, chicken burger, veg burger and lamb shanks. Everything was nice. Lamb was well cooked. It just melts in your mouth. The photos show lamb shanks served with mashed potatoes and salad with dressing of tobasco sauce.

The place is a tad bit overpriced for its location, but would be right at home in a place like bandra. We got the lamb shanks, succulent, meaty, abundant. Braised enough to make the meat slide off the bone. Completely worth the priceThe Chicken Burger was another thing that wont let you down. The pasta in red sauce with the cheese topped on it, that needs some work I feel since it was a bit blandLast was the Irish Cream Terrine a dessert but nevertheless a good one

Good place near the main Mahabaleshwar market to get some Parsi food. Ordered prawns salli boti, chicken dhansak with brown rice and patrani macchi. Ambiance and service is good but it’s a very small place and on a busy day service can be slow. A bit expensive too. Nevertheless worth visiting!

A nice restaurant with multiple italian, non-veg starters options. Mostly recommended for people want to have some finedine with a glass of wine or something. Price is slightly high but taste and ambience is awesome. Getting parking near hotel will a lot trouble as its in a narrow street so park you car outside on main road and walk to place.

Grapevine is a very cosy restaurant on three levels, including a mezzanine floor and a basement. The smaller 4 seater wrought iron tables are at the basement and ground floor level, and a 10 seater table on the mezzanine. We were greeted by the bartender as we entered. The menu mainly has a number of Parsi dishes like dhansak, patra ni macchi, salli boti mutton, as well as pastas, burgers and pizzas. Though it is an excellent restaurant for the die-hard non vegetarian, one can also have a good choice of veg food too. Prices were reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the food.We visited Grapevine on two occasions on our last trip to Mahabaleshwar. Once we tried their Bar-b-q chicken with Mediterranean cheese toast, and both were excellent. Another time we had the Pasta Napolitane and Garlic toast. They serve cocktails and mocktails too, but we had a simple fresh lime soda to go with the food. The service is very courteous. In fact the owner, Mr Raiomand Irani himself came down to make sure we were enjoying the meal. We would definitely love to visit again on our next trip to Mahabaleshwar, and try Raiomand’s Parsi food.

It is a small restaurant on the parallel road to the main market road of Mahableshwar. The place is quite small with probably only a couple of tables. It offers parsi cuisine and foods like burgers etc. The fried chicken was very nice. Lamb shanks were just amazing for the tenderness of the meat and flobour. We had Kheema Pav and Chicken Dhansak they were also very good. The chicken burger was just amazing and filling. It was very juicy and tasty. There is a ferrorocher dessert which was also very nice. Since we had been there in off season lot of things from the menu were missing. Over all it was a good experience.

I went to the place looking at the positive reviews, not sure if it was off season or something but the place was all empty.I had ordered there famous prawn dish and the chicken burger. The prawn dish was good but the burger was very dry and hard to chew. Not quite sure if the timing of my visit was not correct but was not expecting such food after looking at all the good reviews and given the price you can get much better options in the main market. This covid crisis has hit a lot of businesses especially restaurant business but even in such situations if you can keep your customers happy then you truly deserve all the positive reviews. This was just my experience i wanted to share, please dont make your decisions solely on reading a few negative comments! The place seems promising and you might end up having a great time there,be a bit careful on what you choose to order.

This is my third visit to this place but was denied entry today at 9.15 pm by the staff when the restaurant says open till 10 pm.. Dissappointed😡Yes we were offered a parcel but hotels (where one would usually put up) as you will appreciate won’t allow outside food so not a solution really ! Lastly only request is atleast mention the walk in timings on your website or google so it saves your patron’s the effort of coming all the way only to be turned down. Lastly the other night when we were turned down we found good food just beside your hotel at Peters cafe.

Some tastes are acquired. So if you have that taste for authentic Parsi food and wine, this is the place whenever youre in Mahabaleshwar.Went there during my bike trip from Kochi to Mumbai via Mahabaleshwar. Ive listed this place in itinerary before that. Its a small restaurant, with a classy look. With iron heavy furnitures. :)Its run by a third generation Parsi who is a chef, which i learned from there, but unfortunately couldnt meet him, coz we went right before the afternoon closing time.I tried mutton dishes mainly. Excellent food. I liked the taste, variety and the wine as well. :)Its reasonable price for the quality of the food they serve, and especially the ambience. I do pay for that.

We initially came here to have tea while getting our take away food orders prepared. Mr. Raiomand, the owner, came to meet us and after a quick conversation convinced us to eat a meal there. Im so glad he did. We opted for the braised lamb shanks. The meat fell off the bone and melted in our mouth. The mashed potato was creamy and the salad was seasoned to perfection. As we spent more time there we saw he personally took care of all his guests and their needs. Great conversationalist and suggested dishes one could try. The ambiance is cosy, rustic, elegant and quaint depending on where you choose to sit. Had a beautiful experience here. Thank you, Mr. Raiomand. You made our day.
