Visited here when I was in town for the Penn State vs. University of Wisconsin game; hands down the best craft brewery in Madison and it’s not even close!!Karben 4 has some truly unique, one of a kind takes on beer and all rocked!Staff was super friendly, and a true pleasure to speak with, including making some recommendations about the best Wisconsin cheese curds to some out of towners.If you are going to see one craft brewery while visiting Madison - make this your choice!

We have to stop in here whenever we visit Madison. They have one of my favorite IPAs with Fantasy Factory but this time I was very surprised. They have Double Fantasy Factory, which is an Imperial India Pale Ale! Think of a delicious IPA that then decided to get stronger and more delicious!! Had to take a 6 pack to go!Can’t wait to come back!

Great selection a home brewed beers and super friendly employees. The atmosphere here is genuine and kinda of laid back, even though theyre right next to a major raod. They have a great selection of IPAs, seltzers, barrel aged, stouts and plenty more. But my favorite is the fantasy factory a double IPA. Their fruit and flavored infused beer selection is very expansive. If youre in the area stop by and check this guys out, great beer at very reasonable prices.

We stopped by for Brat Fest and it did not disappoint. Great beer selection, great live music and wonderful brats. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. It was a great return to normal things! I honestly enjoyed this version of beer fest better than the ones in past years, hope it continues. Nice work Karben4!

Wonderful small craft brewery near our home. We rode bikes and sat in the pumpkin patch outdoor area. Socially distant and delightful.

Limited beers on tap but I like the Brewery. Always liked Fantasy Factory even though the IPA is dated. Limited options to eat and no tours. We did have a cherry old fashioned donut beer and it was good but not great.

Brewery was cool, beer was great! Bartenders were awesome too, super friendly and knowledgeable about the beer!

Awesome drinks, hopefully they get food again soon, but in the meantime, they do have food trucks coming in to help them out. Love this place, very good atmosphere.

Check out this local brewery! The beers here are hand crafted in small batches. You can find anything from light to dark beers and all types of fruity flavors in-between. Their food is decent, but I was not blown away by the quality there. My side salad was literally two pieces of iceberg lettuce, sliced tomatoes, red onion, and sliced radish... Meh. On Wednesdays from 6-10 you can buy one and get one free beers. You get your chips and can either save them up for later, or use them right away. I was blown away by the art they have on display.

Best micro brewery in the area. If youre a beer snob and in the area, Karben4 is a must visit. Excellent beer selection and unique food menu. The atmosphere is very relaxed and comfy. What surprised me is the service. Busy Friday night and I could not have asked for better service. Attentive and precise. Ive seen them grow for the past few years, Im happy to see where theyre going.

Patio is great this time of year. Had a flight of beers and they were all delicious.

My cash wasn’t good enough to spend here. I know I’m just one customer, but I find this discriminatory to service industry worker and I won’t be returning. Also, the orange cream imperial seltzer tasted like garbage.

Booked an igloo this past Friday night and had such a great time! The staff is so friendly and the igloo was cozy. Covid protocols are also followed closely which made me feel very safe. Will be back!! :)

Great beer, great food, and great atmosphere! A super fun place to go for a quick drink or a longer stay. Make sure to ask what special brews they have on tap. I highly recommend the pretzel bites if you’re looking for a small bite!

Karben4 can do no wrong in my opinion. Every beer you can try is good or better. Nothing ever disappoints and their creativity in beer names and quality in products is unsurpassed. The staff is friendly and personable, the management is understanding and accommodating. You cannot find a better brewery to be a patron of.Its a perfect spot to take someone after they get off a plane from the airport. Great menu, awesome beers, you cant go wrong.

Really enjoyed my beer State Champ!!They have added some pretty cool domes that you need to reserve but have heaters in them. Id say give them a try!!!

These guys have a serious operation out here and as such, some folks are likely going to feel they are being ignored, when really they are just short staffed, especially with how popular this place seems to be. Beers are great, hands down and a decent looking food offering.

Visiting this brewery was a lot fun. Great variety of beers; along with flagships they had brewery only beers which were very interesting. Food was fine albeit forgettable and overpriced for what it is. Staff was attentive, my glass was never empty and were happy to answer all of my questions. If the food was better, this would easily be in regular rotation.

We love the beer here, and the patio is perfect for summer and fall. I also enjoy following K4 on Instagram - they give frequent updates about limited releases, new brews, and great events. The owners also donate beer to local fundraisers, which we love.

Beer is exceptional always! Had the pretzel bites but miss the sticks. Bring them back please. We never have a bad experience!

We love this place because its local, artsy, fun and chill. You can view the brewery through windows, thats always entertaining. The soft pretzel was the best weve had, served on a wood board with mustard.

Ive been a fan of Karben4s beer for awhile but first ay made it out to the taproom. Nice patio and good beer.

We loved our time at Karben4. Jordyn was over half of the reason we had such a great time. She was so welcoming, so knowledgeable about the beer, and stayed for us to have one more before close. The beer was great, the people were great, and we will definitely be back. We love you Jordyn, and we love you Karben4!!!

This is a great brewery! I tried the goldenberry wine American af kolsch. It was a very chill place.

Consistently solid service, food and beer. As a Chicago native I seek out area breweries wherever I visit. Been to Karben4 three times over three years and I have to say, they have a different mindset and really take care of customers. The food is fantastic as is the beer. On top of that the patio is amazing! This is the best of the bunch in Madison and I highly recommend it!

Awesome beer, great service, and food was solid. I loved the beer enough to buy a tank. The only downside is that they told me it was unisex and when I returned from my trip and tried it on, definitely not the case which was a bummer. With that said definitely check this place out.

One of the wider variety beer selections Ive seen. From 3.3% to 9%, IPAs, Ales and stouts with some new releases coming up yet this year. We had the pretzel bites and they were delicious. Very creative label art and beer names. Good selection of food on the menu and they do Sunday brunch.

The beer was great, we would come again for sure. Unfortunately they weren’t doing tour but looked like a cool, smaller brew house. Some pinball machines and food options.

Stopped by as I was taking my friend to the airport. Beer was great and the food was outstanding. Will definitely go back when I have more drinking time!

Nice patio, the apa was really good! The food looks a lot better than it tastes.. but still not bad... there are long descriptions of the beers and most of them dont tell you much or anything about the beer. The date night special is a pretty good deal. Service was friendly and quick. Large parking lot.

The beer here is great. I love the branding and marketing they did with naming their beers. Fun, inviting atmosphere. When there’s a cat packing a golden gun, riding a unicorn on your can, you’re doing something right!!!

I dont mind paying $14 for a good burger, but the Burger Time burger wasnt a good burger. Specifically the meat patty looked and tasted like a pre-made gas station burger. The fixing on the burger, including the house sauce were fantastic, but it seems theyve cheaped out on the most important part, the meat. For $14 I would expect a hand shaped, fresh piece of meat. The only reason Im giving 3 stars is because the atmosphere was good, and so was the service.

Maybe the best brewery in the Madison area. The brewery is a nice space with cool art posted all over the walls. Beer is fantastic - the food is pretty good as well. The servers are also very friendly and attentive. Its a great place to watch a Packers game on Sunday and get brunch.

Great craft beer! There hasnt been anything weve tried that we havent liked. Their food is delicious too! We got the nachos and BLT, and were very satisfied. We try to stop any time were in Madison. Highly recommend.

Great beer, food and service terrible. We went with a party of six. Food came out in waves, last two entrees forty minutes later than the first. Several of us had the tacos, very small amount of meat in the tortilla and that was it--it honestly didnt look like something prepared in a professional kitchen. Several times we had to go to the bar for drinks, waitor avoided us when food order took so long. I will continue to enjoy their beer but never again in their tasting room.

Great beer. The food is good, even if it is a hipster-y. Dont be afraid to venture out of your good comfort zone, itll be worth it. Good atmosphere. Bartenders and servers are friendly and attentive.

The beer was good but the food was overpriced for the portion sizes. 12.00 for 2 chicken tacos that consisted of a small piece of chicken and corn. Side salad was two pieces of iceberg lettuce and a strip of onion. My husband paid extra for a half cup of soup. We felt ripped off.

My wife and I first said I love you to reach other here, so it had a special place in our hearts. The beer is damn good too! A wide variety of styles and flavor will keep you occupied all night with a few laughs to boot. Good service, good atmosphere, and the summer patio is a wonderful family location.

Beer was pretty good. Not a ton of selection for the number of taps (very IPA heavy). Service was great, and the atmosphere was really cool.

While the menu isnt the biggest, what they offer is very good. Beer is also very good, one of the best brewpubs in Madison. Wait staff is also attentive and they offer great suggestions.And board/card games while you wait is always a nice touch.

Pretty cool brewery. Im a huge fan of the Fantasy Factory and its variants. It seems like they have multiple events each week going on along with limited beer releases. If I move to Madison, Id come back here for sure!

Tasteless, minute food & the beer isnt great. Location? Right next to the loud highway which overpowers the music & conversation. Portion & taste left me feeling like I should get home to cook supper. Best part? The waiter. He was polite.

A laid back atmosphere with daily fresh food, yummy desserts and unique brews. They also host many events for charity and have an outdoor dining area where you can bring WELL MANNERED pups. Lastly, they always have black and white movies playing on the TVs which is a breath of fresh air along with a killer music playlist.

Stopped in while traveling for work. Loved the beer and had a great chat with the bartender about Madison beer. They have many good summer beers currently on tap. Worth the stop for sure!

We absolutely love Karben4! We live out of town but make it a point to stop whenever we are in the area. Not only are their beers amazing, but their food is awesome as well! Definitely stop and get all the good stuff if you get a chance!!

Best microbrewery in Madison. Their approach to beer is unique, but approachable. Funky-cool aesthetic, rockstar-level bartenders and servers. This place always makes me happy.

Just wonderful..... and the soup! Also... dont be afraid of the pickled food cart. Its delicious.

World-class beer. Excellent artisan menu of locally sourced items. Great space for one or many. I cant speak any higher of these guys and what theyve become (except they need to bring back SamuRye).

Spent a dreary Saturday afternoon here and enjoyed it immensely. The brewery tour is free, brief and lots of fun. Excellent beer choices, very fine menu and great service. Thanks for taking the chill out of the day!

Excellent brewery, with fantastic beers and tasty food offerings. You really should try the Block Party amber, its my personal favorite. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and I havent had a bad experience here yet.

Great beer. Food was less so. I got the sausage Reuben. It had a pretzel bun that was not stated on the menu. Barely any sauce on it and the sour kraut tasted like old cabbage. Would stop for their on site made beer, never order food again.

Good beer, dismal food options... I found the hot dog from the kids menu to have the most appeal. My wife thought highly of her salad and I enjoyed my hot dog, so what little they do (food wise) they do well.

Im a 4 on food but a 5 on beer, and I was really there for the beer. 5 on service as well, bartender was Andy and he was attentive and knowledgeable. Food was an ok selection and was fairly good (my sandwich was a little soggy and the half portion of Mac and cheese came out smaller than I expected even for a half portion, side salad did came in a decent portion with good lettuce) -- I dont think Id be a regular for lunch if I lived in the area. Beer however was excellent, Radicatz and the double fantasy factory topped the list.

Cool modern brewing company with great tasting room/bar. Artwork and music is awesome only second to the food and beer! Must visit in Madison if you love beer, and want to grab a bite as well.

Great microbrewery set on the Eastside of town. The taproom is vibrant and modest. Had a wonderful time tasting beers and cheesecake on Valentines Day. I would highly recommend again.

The food selection they offer is okay, but thats to be expected at a brewery with a small side business in food. In terms of their drinks, theyre all pretty strong and pretty flavorful - sometimes too much so. Its hard to drink more than one, and even then it can be tough. Not that its bad, but dont expect to enjoy getting drunk off of it.

So far I have went on a tour of this brewery as well as two beer pairing dinners with karben4 and their beer is awesome! The thing I like best about the beers is they all have distinctly different tastes that really stand out. One of my favorite beers is Lady Luck which is supposed to capture the taste of a red wine.

I was just there for the beer. If you like craft beer, go to Karben4 right now. The menu descriptions of their beers alone are worth the trip, but the beers live up to the prose.

It was my first time being in there, food was excellent, service was amazing and you get to to choose over 16 tap beers to try. I never did tap beer before but this place was amazing.
