We often shop at Superdry and end up at the Inorbit Mall store as it is the closest to our home. We love their clothes but were very disappointed with their customer “service” during our last visit to this particular store. The store manager Toshi Trivedi is extremely rude and brutally upfront. He walks around the store throwing airs as though he is the owner of the store. He has a big time attitude problem and treats customers like garbage. When we walk around the store, he zooms past us and cuts our way to go first, making customers abruptly pause. We had been putting up with his bold gestures until he was terribly rude to my son. Toshi kept forcing his gaudy choices upon my son from a rack he had already explored. As my son kept declining the colours that were randomly being thrown at him, this guy got annoyed and said, ‘you don’t want blue, you don’t want red, you don’t want yellow, then there are no colours left…that’s all I have, ’ and walked away. Firstly, we never asked him for any suggestions as we were already dealing with another sales person. He kept interfering and suggesting stuff for no reason. When I questioned him about his rude behaviour with my son, he outrightly refused and said that it was only OUR perception and that he was always smiling (from behind his mask) and speaking softly. He said its not his problem if we find him to be rude, as according him, he was not. If only life was that simple. We were shocked to get such a response from someone who works in sales. He was absolutely mannerless and kept arguing about how wrong we were in our thinking and insisted that he found nothing wrong in his behaviour or attitude. I also enlightened him about his behaviour of zooming past customers making sure he gets his way first, but in his defence he ‘never made physical contact.’ Furthermore, he said that he was very busy and had no time to lose, so he believes that it is apparently alright then. He even suggested that we shop elsewhere as he was not forcing us to shop at his store. The mind of a sales genius at work, I see. We too gave him the fine suggestion of working at some place like Pantaloons, to which he responded, ‘I know my worth very well’. The irony. Interestingly, when I further suggested that he must introspect his actions before instinctively denying accusations, he promptly replied that he doesn’t need introspection. So he does in fact believe he’s a perfect man then. He randomly waved his arms and threw a sorry at us saying, ‘FINE! If you want, I will say sorry, but I did nothing wrong’. We stood our stand but were obviously offended and fed up with his indecent behaviour and attitude, so we disagreed and started to leave the store. To our utter disgust, he kept shouting after us as we were leaving that he is ‘NOT WRONG IN ANY WAY!’ We said, ‘yes you are’, he said, ‘NO I’M NOT!’ We repeated ‘yes you are’ and had the last say as the music in the mall drowned out his voice.
Poorest or the cheapest staff I have ever seen,They dont have minimum sense of communication with the customer. I have been to AX and SS(they receive people in the greatest way, dont get frustrated with the customer). The sales men acts as he owns the franchise (thats the funniest part).First of all the staff isnt hygeine (especially in the covid crisis). It would be great if you replace them with well educated people (English always doesnt matter but his morals and the graduation does). Even they dont deserve a single Star.
Just an experience. But something to have an idea of the kind of staff. So my 15 year old goes in and picks up something randomly and likes it. I go in later and she’s waiting to get it billed. Yes it was amiss from my side that I should have checked the price. I felt it was overpriced after billing. I ask them if I can-not buy it. These guys say I can’t because it’s already billed, invoice has been raised, they ‘cannot’ cancel it and the like. They were so supportive of each other in what they were saying. After 20 years of shopping, you always know when you are being taken for a ride.Right!! ;)It felt sad. Must be the lockdown and no sales effect. Well, I did take the shirt, firstly because it was after a long time that we went to a mall physically and secondly it felt sad that they have to resort to such lies. What if I said, I don’t have my wallet or give a card that doesn’t work and they can’t do anything. So superdry boys.. all the best. Keep up the good work only.
Fraudulent store tricks you into wrong info. They claim no questions asked exchange policy but when you go for return they ask you to deposit the goods and wait eternally for a credit note to be generated. Also, most of the stores seems to be non-compliant with their own website pricing.
