I studied in Rishi Valley for nine years, entering at age six. It was a phenomenally rich and rewarding experience. Apart from a consistently strong academic record - Rishi Valleys students enter and attend Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Carnegie Mellon, UC Berkeley, Oxford and Cambridge (with a modicum of ease, I might add) - the school curriculum has a superb extracurricular and creative component (music, dance, theatre, yoga and art), which ascertains that all its students grow up seriously embracing more than one creative activity. The football field is humoungous, with the iconic Cave Rock Hill looking down upon it; theres a huge hockey field, tennis courts and basketball, volleyball and kabbadi fields. Hiking is common - the Valleys own hills are available for hikers; so are the nearby Horsley Hills, Rishi Konda, Bodi Konda and Central Peak.This comes coupled with an enviable teacher-student ratio - 1:6 - which hasnt changed in the last three decades. Finally, Rishi Valleys setting is both spectacular and difficult to match up to - 375 acres of gorgeous green valley and rolling hills for its 360 students. If you actually visit, youll witness that the entire valley is dotted with small villages, hence the feeling of inhabiting a space of 5000 acres is more akin to what we, as children, experienced. My aunt and Uncle works there and my nephew does his schooling there...i have visited the campus many times and am a die hard fan of the campus, the scenery, the nature, the mountains the hills, and what not.

I was at Rishi Valley School for only three years, but they were the best three years of my life! I wish I could go back :)Hands down the best school I have studied in!

A fantastic place. I have always wanted to come here since I have heard of the school. Wish all schools were like this. There cannot be a more peaceful place with such brilliant faculty members to shape young minds. Its expensive though

I had gone to the school in 1978 to be interviewed for the post of an English teacher....stayed back in the guest house for two days ...was given the job..with a promise that the UK school could be my later destination....but destiny had other plans....even now I regret the decision of not taking up the offer....a school like no other elsewhere in India.....the relaxed and unconventional methodology....all deeply imprinted...and fresh in my memory...

Ive been there for 8 years and I couldnt have asked for a better place or better people to grow up and learn with.The atmosphere is vibrant and helps in nurturing the best in us. The personal attention that teachers are willing to give students is not easily available elsewhere and plays a big role in inducing the spirit to learn. Its policy on examinations allows a kid to understand the importance of being tested and not a blind and rote formality. I wish i could give the place a 6 on 5! I am a proud RVite!

This was,is and will always be my favorite place in the world,not only because it is my school,but also because it is where I belong and call my home.Rishi Valley has taught me where my roots are and the importance of connecting with our environment and being completely aware of things around us and various other things in our lives that we forget to notice and keep time for.It is important that one is not only involved in materialistic things and the fast pace of their happening lives and gives time for oneself to reflect upon things in life.Pause and take a moment to just be in a state where the past or the future does not matter and instead, that very moment matters.
