This is our local for amazing coffee, lovely breakfasts and friendly staff. Best to book to make sure you get a table, especially at weekends and school holidays. The coffee is so good I have to send care packages to the kids in Sydney.

Do yourself a favour and pop into this place on your drive North or South, kids loved the Lego table and their hot chocolate, we loved the pies and our coffee, even got a take away grind for when we are back at home!

After no coffee for 4.5 months, I wanted to treat myself with a good cuppa and I know Id be looked after at Botero. I was right. Fantastic coffee and the vegan walnut slice was bomb.com too. It can be a long wait if its a busy day but thats standard with a popular coffee joint.

It doesnt matter where you are in Australia. If you appreciate quality coffee start driving...... its worth it!!!

We stopped for lunch here on our way back from Red Cliff and it was a huge surprise. Food was amazing, and the waitress were all lolvely. We ordered the eggs bennedict, chicken burgers and the stake sandwich and everything was delicious. The milkshake was huge😍. Very good price too. It was so much worth driving here. Thanks for the service, will come back.

Very nice food. even the kids meals were appropriately sized and tasty - especially the cheeseburger! They roast their own coffee and it all smells great. The $20 special I had was this chilli prawn and chorizo pasta which was really nice. Only issue was I stood there for several minutes waiting to be acknowledged and had to flag down someone to help us find a seat

I loved this bistro so much I went to visit twice during my holiday stay in Grafton.The atmosphere inside the cafe was pleasant and the interior design was classy. The coffee were divine. I first had a latte, then a cappuccino on my second visit. Both were great. Prepared with care and expertise.The food were palate pleasers and the prices are light on the wallet. I wish they have a branch in Sydney.

What a find in the stunning small town (on the river) of Maclean on the NSW north coast. A huge roaster area with a delightful, very modern, chic cafe. Huge range of coffee blends & great food. The coffee ☕ is a cut above the rest in my humble opinion & the barrister knows how not to burn the blends. I had the organic & it was the best I have ever tasted. There are two areas for kids. A huge glassed in lego area for the older children & a covered outdoor area for younger children. A real find worth visiting. MacLean is a very lucky town to have such a brilliant cafe/roaster. Good coffee, nice cafe but horrible service! Staff don’t know what they are doing and there is no supervisor to check their work or expedite the work. We waited 40mins for two take away coffees! One was sitting on the bench next to the cashier for not sure how long and every time we checked our coffee was not ready! very poor communication between the staff!

This is our go to coffee.Even took it across the Great Australian Bight last year.Could not be without our Botero Coffee on the rd for 4 mths.

Is it any wonder that this places always seemed busy AF!? I take the short detour into Maclean whenever I am passing, the new Pacific Highway upgrade now makes this even easier!The only problem I have encountered is being able to get a seat, and they have plenty inside and out.Terrific coffee that they roast themselves, and well worth any detour. Take the coffee and enjoy the view form the lookout, by the riverside or take the free car ferry across the river and drive the back way to Grafton. 5 Star coffee!

One of the highlights of Maclean! Lovely coffee thats roasted on site, which means you can get it in all shapes & sizes. I tried their latte & cold brew on separate occasions & both were excellent. Food is just as good, Kentucky-styled chicken burger is seriously gourmet, prawn salad was also amazing. I also tried their eggs Benedict for breakfast - excellent too!Staff are also nice & friendly, with table service at peak times.Also features a childrens gated play area - so its perfect for those with little ones.

This was a fantastic find when driving up the East coast. A short detour off the new highway into the town of MacLean for a fantastic coffee and breakfast. This is the kind of cafe that would not be out of place in the inner West of Sydney so to find it up here was very welcomed. Will make this a regular stop on drives. Oh and it has a cute little kids play area, clean toilets and baby change table. What a find

We stopped in for lunch on a very busy Thursday in January. Lunch and coffee were as excellent as usual. For at least 7 years we have been driving up and down the highway and using Botero as our breakfast/morning tea or lunch stop. The food has been consistently good every time. The café is close to the Motorway exit, its barely a detour. Thanks Team Botero.

The young man waiting tables today hardly spoke two words and was blunt luckily when we paid a lovely blonde girl on the counter provided excellent customer service. We bought some takeaway brownies as well which were delicious!!

We had a lovely lunch there. The food was good, the coffee was great and the staff were very happy and helpful.I stuffed up my order twice but the helpful able staff happily corrected my muck up without the slightest complaint. They do a really good job.I left happy and satisfied.

The only thing I will commend Botero for is the coffee - and even that wasnt particularly outstanding. The staff here are avoidant, vacant in the eyes and its clear that theres a severe lack of communication and organisation amongst them. By the time we received the food, parts of my partners order had become cold and unpleasant to eat. My order, which was a daily-special cauliflower and frekeh mess, was okay but unremarkable. I thought it was amusing that I was served butter with the vegan slice - big no no. To top it all off we were brought the wrong bill when I asked to pay but props to the waiter for managing to squeeze out a smile after scowling at me upon every other moment of eye-contact we shared.

Slowest service. Waited 45 minutes for takeaway (because all tables were full), and then the food was soggy and squashed. $50. Good coffee though.

Unfortunately I havent frequented the Roastery.. but I do buy alot of coffee from these guys. Every bag is excellent. They really do have a monopoly over the rest and Ill continue to buy more and more to feed my espresso addiction.

Just moved to the area and really really really love this place and their coffee. Macadamia milk options, gluten free options, amazing staff and food.

I attend Botero regularly as I travel Mclean to visit family. The staff are always friendly and even though im not local they remember and other have a quick chat. I always buy the beans off them online when back home. Without a doubt its the best Coffee around. 5 stars for me and well deserved.

Absolutely fantastic coffee. Whist home for a visit, we traveled to Maclean purely to have the experience and to gather much needed coffee supplies. Only lost a star because no contact details were taken for Covid tracking. It was very busy and whilst other precautions and requirements were evident, and the staff were doing such an amazing job managing everything. This failure is a big one. The only place during our travels that didn’t take details.

Perfect stop off for any road trip along the coast! My go to spot to start any long drive south and they have the best breakfast eg and bacon rolls.
