Unchi Dukan Phiki Pakwan...Not as I expected many tea sellers selling far better tea than sharma ji ki tea at just 10rs compared to this 20rs.It is not as good as we hear about. There will be crowd always because of its name and fame. But the quality is average.Cost is high and taste normal nothing very special. Dont waste your money on tasteless tea. There is no place to sit here, you have to stand and drink tea.

To be honest I like their samosa better than their chai. Earlier I used to love their chai but slowly they have raised the price but have lower the quality.Their chai or tea is ok OK now but I love their samosas that are rounded shapedEven I dont like their bun makkhan. Other outlets sell much better bun makhhan than them
Always a treat to visit this place. The best samosa, bun makkhan and chai combination is served here. The tea has a taste of its own and so do the other condiments. Their samosas get sold out pretty quickly (yes, they are good!) And then it takes them about 30 mins to stick them up again. But its worth the wait :)
Chai aur bread makan ka taste Lucknow me sabse mast hai, thoda expensive hai par worth hai. There is no space for car or bike parking, and it’s a ministers office areas so do not park you car anywhere, otherwise you will get ticket. It’s take almost 6-10 mins for your order to get serve. There is no proper place to sit.Chai bread aur sutta. 😬
For the tea I will just give a max of 3 stars. Its okay kind of tea. Went there due to its huge reputation. Tea is fine, but the samosas are really good, tasty and must try. Overall the combination is what really works. Bun makhan is also good to have with tea. Also, there are limited options to sit and relax, though theres a park next to the place to enjoy with your family and friends!
Good place to visit after covid seating arrangement is less and I have taken Bun makhan, Tea & Samosa Tea and samosa was average and bun makhan was very tasty speciality of tea is they put sugar after so that if you want less sugar drink it directly and if you want more sugar just mix it with stick they provide over all experience was good 😁 for detailed video you can visit at my channel Travel with VIRAJ
Its one of the famous eating joints in Lucknow. This place is famous for its Samosa, Bun Maska and Chai. One unique thing is that their samosa is round in shape and different from the normal ones. The samosa is must try for anyone visiting the city, especially if youre coming from Western or Southern India. Location is close to Hazratganj and Novelty cinema.
Sharma ji ki chai is Really Amazing. Superb taste of chai and bun Maska. Samosa’s are wow really tasty and packaging is also too good. Whenever I visit to Lucknow chai, bun Maska and samosa is mandatory for me from Sharma ji ki chai. You also must try. Best place for snacks in Lucknow. Love it. 5 star rating is not sufficient for this place. ❤️
Wonderful, impressed to see covid appropriate behaviour as well....very tasty tea...must visit...opens @8...
One of the Best Tea Stall in LucknowSharma Ji Ki Chai is a very famous and old tea center in Lucknow known for it’s chai, bun makhan (churned white butter), bun samosa and gol samosa along with mathri, suhal and mithai. The tea stall is very pocket friendly and offers fast service to its customers. Tea and snacks items are priced reasonably. Sharma Ji Ki Chai serves only vegetarian items. One of the best tea shops in Lucknow is centrally located and very near to the famous Hazratganj market. The tea stall is a bit crowded on Sundays and holidays and there is no place to sit but still you will find regular customers hogging tea and bun makhan. It is a place where you can see all sections of society at one place, rich or poor both. You can have chai in Kulhad (clay cup) or a paper cup. Everywhere you will find triangle samosa but here at Sharma Ji Ki Chai you will get gol/round samosa. The tea stall was founded by Shri Om Prakash Sharma in 1949. He was native of Aligarh. Sharma Ji Ki Chai shop is 70 years old and is now in its third generation. Deepak Sharma son of Om Prakash Sharma is the owner of Sharma Ji Ki Chai. The tea stall is also managed by the grandson of Shri Om Prakash Sharma. Manav Sharma is the third generation of the Sharma family who is taking the legacy of his grandfather forward. Sharma Ji Ki Chai was visited by big politicians like former PM Shri Atal ji, former UP CMs Kalyan Singh & Rajnath Singh and was also visited by Raj Babbar, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Jyotiraditya Scindia. Many TV and Bollywood celebrities like Sanjeev Kapoor, Rajniesh, Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday had also visited the tea stall on their visit to Lucknow
Went for the second time.Butter is natural butter (white) without salt, adds extra flavor.Tea is amazing.Bun samosa is good. Poha seller is a bit rude but who cares, Poha is worth a try.
Chai is Ok, good part is its mild sweetness. The location is adjacent to public lawn area, which helps groups to find some comfortable discussion time
I cant understand why its famous. Taste is average. His tea is famous but tea taste is normal you may try its round samosa. If you visit for lucknow not arrange time particularly for it. If you go there for other works than try it otherwise leave it.
Good one for the change its not something like out of the world but its different they prepare it very differently so atleast try once if you are in Lucknow.
I visited Sharma ji ki chai on Sunday while having the thought that it might be closed but to my surprise it was opened.Well chai and bun maska was all good but I especially liked the samosas as there was no separate aaloo present in it and was all mashed up.Overall a good experience even amid this pandemic times.
One of the popular tea joints in the city. The taste of tea is authentic and mesmerizing. Chai is served in kulhad and paper cup too. One can buy samosa, bun maska and other quick bites from the shop. One can sit in the nearby park and enjoy the tea. This place is crowded and one might need to stand in queue to have their order placed. Prices are value for money.Overall highly recommend place.
Amazing , hot and fluffy samosas , easilyDigestible and easy on the stomach. Kulhadd chai is a must. Located on the sides of the majestic Hazratganj, this place is a go-to place for locals and definitely heaven for the new comers. EAT SAMOSAS AND CHAI ONLY AND ONLY AT SHARMA JI. PERIOD. Do not indulge too much into bun Maska tho but keep an open arm for the pedas too. 🤤😉
Loved the Samosa and Chai.. 10/10.Bun Makhan - 5/10 (the bun should have been atleast cooked.. served with white butter)
Very nice tea point, one of the biggest tea point i have ever seen. They serve fruity soft bun with fresh lightly salted white butter and lightly cardamom flavored tea in kulhar ( cup made with mud/ traditional Indian tea cup) and paper cup. Rates are different for kulhar and paper cup. They also serve samosa, bun samosa. All items are fresh and you can get idea of quality by see the crowed around the shop. Really nice place for tea. i recommend this shop.
Well Sharma ji ki Chai and Samosas are different , if you visit near hazaratganj you must taste it once. Its a old shops over 80+ years
Average quality chai, not as good as expected in 40rs. Though bun makkhan and samaso was quite good.Still not value for money options.
Place known for chai and their white bun makkhan, but i like samosa .Visit this place in morning time, the vibes and charm is amazing.specially kulhad waali chai
Now a days people dont have places to go and enjoy. They are just going online famous places . Shrama ji ki chay is one of them . Like other famous places this is just doing good business just because heritage. Chay quality is very bad .I just wasted my time and money. Short review is as belowChay Quality - 1/5Maska Bun -1/5Samosa -3/5Location- 3/5Parking- 3/5Hygiene- 2/5I recommend people to refrain themselves from being maniac and think how a chay can be so delicious specially in current situation where Sharma Ji is busy in opening outlet and collecting money. This Chay had completely lost their roots.
Over hyped.. But Maa Durgama restaurant on opposite side is a good option for lunch and dinr with good prices... Not so costly and tste is also good... Do give one try to the restaurant if you visit any near by place... very old restaurant maintaining its cost and tste standards 👍👍👍👍🍴🍴🍴
A chai u wont find anywhere else. A chai made with a generous amount of balai !
Awesome experience, Oldest shope in the market. They Maintain their legacy.
Old is goldTry special CHAISamosaAnd yesBun makkhan ( white makkhan)Speciality of the placeVery early to start and I suppose late to close for the day
Agar aap lucknow aya aur Sharma Ji Ki Chai na pi to kya piyaThe phrase suits the best as i the tea shop is small with very less dish like samosa, chai, bun maska and so onSo if in few words i say it is the oldest tea joint of lucknow which have maintained there taste because whenever father an i visit this place my father always says after very first bit the taste is same which it use to be years agoThe best part is aloo in samosa is completely peeled off and chopped and mashed which give a new taste too it similarly the butter used in bun is white one which make it super awesomeIn shot next time you visit lucknow do try these amazing bun maska, samosa and chai in kulhad ke cup making a deadly trio
This tea stall is one of the oldest in Lucknow and also renowned in the area. This is my first visit to this tea stall. I actually say yes its best tea in kullad, bun makhan (fresh white butter) and a round samosa. Its simple within reasonable cost. It opens in the morning at 7 am and the place is crowded all the day. Recommended to go atleast once if you are a tea lover. The shop staff maintains the social distancing but people ordering dont. So be carefull. Stay safe. 👍
I visited this place recently along with my cousin. This place is quite famous and is certainly must visit for Chai lovers.I tried every possible thing famous here.Samosa was really tasty and same goes with Bun Maska. Kulhad was not available so they served Tea in cups but the taste was still awesome as they own the taste.Highly recommend this place.
One of the most famous places for tea lovers in Lucknow. Really awesome tea offered in Kullads with nice bun makhan. Homemade White makhan is the essence of this Bun Makhan. This place offers good samosas and bun samosas as well!! The prices are really reasonable and service is really fast.. The only issue I noticed was that there is no place to sit and have a nice time with friends( unless you drive your own vehicle). Also, finding a good parking spot in this crowded street was really difficult..Overall I had a really nice experience and I think this deseves to be the best Chai in Lucknow!!
Taste has been changed. Consistently normal taste.
Chai doesnt taste as good as before. Its very thin and also expensive than before. It is good place to visit once and tick mark your checklist as this is a very famous chai place in Lucknow. But in my opinion, there are better places if you are a regular visitor. Samosa has a unique round shape and it tastes good too. Sams with bun makkhan. But their quality of chai has been degraded. Visiting here since 2012.
Famous for Chai.. With lot of mess.. Seriously I dont like so much due to mess
Suttle chai with well prepared samosas and hygiene are the highlights of the place
Samosa, bun butter is good. Tea ok, not up to the mark as famous name.
People are crazy for Samosa and Sharma Ji ki chai.. for me samosa without red chilli n chutney is not giving much taste.
One of the place in Lucknow, where you can do Chai par charcha with friends or family. Usually there is a rush in the evening. My fave from here is bun makkan, where bun is served with the layer of classic makkan..not with a filtered butter, which is available easily in market. So visit and have a bun makkan chai...!!
A tea, bun makhkhan and samosa is a meal you cannot miss
Hyped place, I m sure one can get better chai somewhere at lower price,SharmaJi is charging Rs. 20 / Cup
Sharma tea is one of the #oldest #tea serving shop in the city. Located in hazaratganj some distance from Nagar Nigam Lucknow. The tea serving staff is nice and active in taking orders and #serving on #time.Chai is the life line of chai lovers and public. Tea preparation methods are hygienic and and the taste of chai / tea is amazing. Tea is served in kullhad / earthen glass as well as in durable paper cups.Along with tea, their famous combination is tea with bun maska or tea with gol samosa. Either combination is worth try. 👌Adjacent to their shop, there is a nice park with good ambience, one can take his/her order and sit in park to eat and gossip.Overall nice place to hangout with friends and make chai memorable. ❤️
Chai mast hai, samosa are too good and bandmakkhan is also too good👍
Depends on taste buds I personally dont like.
Mind blowing place to hang out with friends and family. A well known heritage of Lucknow. One should always order atleast Chai and Bun & butter. Its Delicious 😋.
Worst experience....the chai quality is too bad in taste and also the bun makhan ... overall I recommend that I dont know why it is famous, but you never visit here if you taste the quality of there Tea..
Over all good experience atleast visit once.
Bun maska is definitely good and fresh. But is not like the best in the world like people claim it to beChai and samosa are good, but again.. not the best
Overrated. I liked the tea though... but absolutely no hygiene, and mostly crowd consist of cheap political class or administrative employees.I saw two of their workers fighting with each other and throwing hot tea. In case you are visiting keep safe distance.
The design and architecture of Charbagh railway station is very good. It is an attractive railway station built by the British. There is a train to go everywhere from here, you can go anywhere. After the decoration on the national festival, this gets four moons, it becomes even more attractive. Parking facilities are available at hare. Numerous bus station and hotels are available nearby.
Amazing tea, and samosas. The bun makkhan is an added bonus item.. all in all an amazing place to get a chai and chill.
Worth visit for deserving cup of tea on Sunday morning.
One of the overhyped place where tea is just fine like home
Theek hai, chai achi thi par koi khass nahi. Another hyped place in Lucknow as the tea is not much different to others places across town. The bun maska, bun was stale and not soft. The place was buzzing with morning tea lovers. Be careful standing in the street as cars almost run into you trying to avoid the potholes just in from of the store.
Bun maska and bun samosa are the things to taste and you will fall in love with it. Chai is ok. You will definitely revisit.
Best chai in the whole lucknow .........
Tasty bun with unsalted butter along with special round shaped samosa with kulhad wali chai (tea) is a must try food when visit lucknow. Situated on one of the most busiest road here and still people try to grab a bite of samosa and chai here. You can also get chai in disposable cups if you cant stand there and eat. Both sweetened and unsweetened tea is available ❤️
