This place is freaking awesome!! I’m of Asian decent and was not expecting to find such a unique soup in Iceland. I think it might just be the best soup I never had!Sometimes soups aren’t very filling, but this soup is so I highly recommend it. Absolutely no compromises as service as also very nice and quick.
Best bowl of noodles/soup I’ve ever had. After a cold afternoon on a whale watching tour we were looking for something warm. We were going to go to the Vietnamese place next door for pho but passing her, the amazing smell wafting out has us come in. Best decision ever! You won’t be disappointed. Tender meat and rich broth... WOW
To be honest I was not expecting much from this modest looking eatery but I couldnt have been more wrong (do not judge a book by its cover). These are some of the best soup noodles I have ever tasted. Much better than similar higher rated restaurants. Very generous portions for what you pay for. The soup was very flavoursome and the meat was so tender.
Don’t listen to Walter. That guy has no idea what he’s talking about. I still dream about these noodles and I come from a Taiwanese family. This shouldn’t be measured against Taiwanese beef noodle soup as it’s its own thing, and that thing is a wonderful, hearty, delicious, filling bowl of noodles. Walter is full of it.
My mom and I were feeling homesick for noodles after being in Iceland for nearly a week, and were so happy we found this place. The prices were fair (for Iceland) and the noodle broth was flavorful. The noodles were cooked just how we like to make them at home, and the best part was the little condiment jars available to add additional seasoning as youd like. It really brightened our day to have something nice and warm since it was super windy and chilly. Would definitely come back next time Im in Reykjavik!
A friend recommended if I was looking for spicy noodles to stop by this spot. It was raining, so hot noodle soup was called for! I got the beef noodles at medium spice and they were fantastically delicious. The beef was tender and fell apart easily, complimented by the peanuts, green onion, sprouts and medium spicy flavor. It was hot enough that it cleared the system but not so hot I couldnt enjoy it. Will be recommending to my friends and if returning if I come back to Reykjavik in the future!
A very unassuming but delicious food stop! We had a long day of travel and on a rainy day this was the perfect meal. Affordable, hearty, and a must stop for a yummy meal in Reykjavik.
Best soup in town and you get a lot for your money!!
Its nice, but way too salty, I could not finished because of that. Also, the place was way too cold and when I asked if I could close the door, the chef replied: no, because people would not know the restaurant is open if the door is closed. Very silly and odd. We definitively would not come back.
I visited Reykjavik in 2014 and I still remember the noodles from this place. To be honest Reykjavik is a pretty expensive place to stay and eat. Noodle Station offered reasonably priced meals that were absolutely delicious. If I get the opportunity to visit Iceland again, Ill 100% return for more meals there. 😋
Place is definitely worth the money. Only around 8 USD for a nice sized bowl of vietnamese soup. Very good flavor, very good service, for a cheap price. Well worth the money.
Delicious noodle but a good price. Serving size is great too. I will always visit this chain while in Iceland.
Large bowls, very tasty beef soup.
This is a legenday place, the method, quality and taste of noodles are exactly the same as 5 years ago.It is an excellent choice on a rainy day.
Delicious soups. Price ok. For sure again on the next trip.
Great place for a quick (and cheap) bite to eat in Reykjavik - the noodle bowls are tasty and filling and are tailored to your spice preference
Simple but very tasty - a big bowl of noodles with soup, beef, chicken or vegetables .. it was all I could eat for approx £10 gbp for the beef one.You can choose to have nuts and the level of spice. In an expensive city I would recommend this.
Entered this place without any expectations but so good we had it twice during my stay. I tried vegetable noodle soup. It was a good serving. They put the soaked hot rice noodles first, then the soup, sprouts, crushed peanuts and if you feel daring, you can make it extra spicy. This is the best noodle soup I have ever tried. The soup is so beautifully made, there were loads of flavours, there was something about this soup that was making us feel so good and contempt. May be thats umami. Over all one of the best place to eat in Iceland. I loved it.
Amazing noodle soup, not even by icelandic standards but by all standards.
Very tasty and the price is reasonable. I wish they could open a shop in Akureyri.
Honest to god. I don’t know how this place got anywhere close to the current stars it has.I’ve never had a worse meal in my life. Beef noodle soup should be savory and usually a traditional Taiwanese cuisine. Such a simple dish: beef, beef soup, celery, and noodles....they managed to mess it up.Taste: If I can describe it it would be a super sweet Thai and Vietnamese fusion that tried to imitate the traditional Taiwanese dish but failed miserably. They seriously put so much sugar in it as if sugar was free.Ambience: A cheap Asian fast food joint in the hood, with better lighting.Service: not bad. Cooks were nice. No real servers.
My bf and I came here looking for a hearty broth-y noodle soup to warm us up on a blustery Reykjavík night and Noodle Station did not disappoint. The menu is 3 things (which I usually take as a good sign. In my experience, the fewer the number of items on the menu, the better they’re cooked): they have beef, chicken, and veggie noodles. We wanted to share a beef and a chicken so we could sample everything they had to offer. Unfortunately, they were out of chicken when we ordered. No matter. We both got the beef noodles (spicy, of course!) and it was so delicious. The beef was incredibly tender, the broth was super tasty, the portions were huge, and the price was very affordable, esp by Reykjavík standards. Highly recommend ❤️🍜 And don’t forget to check your bowl when you finish!
Good honest noodles to be had here.
I think over the 10 days in Iceland, we had lunch here 4 times. Simple menu, great noodle soup! If youre looking for value, get double noodles
We added spicy flavouring (offered at every table) to our soup bowl to give it some extra heat and it ended up being really tasty.I think there could’ve been more noodles in the bowl.A bit under 1,000ISK for the vegetable bowl. The staff were very nice and friendly and the service was very fast. What was amazing was they were open on New Years Day!
I had the vegetable noodle soup and it was so good and affordable I went back on my last night. I got mine spicy, which was perfect for the weather. The cost of the vegetable soup is less than 1000kr,which in the heart of reykjavik is pretty impressive. The tables are tall and long, with stools. It was nice to watch strangers gather together at these tables to share a meal. They provide free water at noodle station, and the staff are very friendly and hard working.Worth the pitstop to warm up!
I had vege my partner had beef..after our friend recommandation. So good!
Delicious, lots of noodles and meat, and a really tasteful soup. The only negative is that they could have more different vegetables. Cheap and tasty. The cheapest place in Reykjavik if you want good and warm food. The restaurant is quite boring and its a cheap look. But if you dont care about that i can highly recommend this place.I saw three different noodlesoup on the menu, meat, chicken and vegetables. So you choose the topping you want. Its location is behind busstop no 10, perfect after a long day in the mountains.
Fast service but limited selection. Had the beef noodle soup with extra veges. Its a fusion of Chinese braised beef and Vietnamese Pho. Soup is flavoursome and some chilli kick. Disappointed at the value because the extra veges serving was just more shallots and bean sprouts, barely worth it. The rice noodle was on the firmer side. Worth a mention that the beef was chunky and tender.
Erm... I dunno what to make of this place... ok its a cheap lunch/dinner café comparatively to everything else around. Theres only one type of noodle and soup base. you only need to choose between chicken, beef or veg; then extra cost for bigger portions... its simple.Only thing for me is that I still cant work out the taste of the soup... its like a sweet and yet soya saucy type soup... hmmm...I think best to avoid.
Amazing soup and the beef is cooked perfectly!
Noodle Station are the best, the best of all,
YUMMMM! Go here! Amazing prices and amazing food! You wont regret it...
We tried vegetable noodles. Looking good, but has poor taste: the soup is just water with soy sauce and the noodles itself wasnt satisfying. Wont recommend it even if you want to save money - better go to Bonus :)And the restroom had neither toilet paper nor soap or hand towels. Thats very bad, guys.
It will warm you up. But I dont think it was super filling or flavorful. Broth was very meh and the noodles were just okay. I will compliment the quick service and the beef was very tender. But overall its a hard pass for me. Considering the few chunks of meat were the only thing good.Edit.After I went to drop off my bowl it would appear most people didnt like the broth either. Plenty of bowls full of broth and thats saying a lot considering how cold it was outside.
We ate there twice during our two day stay in Reykjavik. The service is great and the food is very tasty. We tried the beef and the chicken noodle soup (the remaining option was just vegetables) and they were both very good (better yet if add some spices). Like this wasnt already enough, this is also one of the cheapest eats in Reykjavik!
The best noodle soup I ever had. Compared to any other eat out option this is a clear winner when it comes to anything
Quick service, decent price. Really enjoyed the noodle soup.
If you are craving for a taste of Asian, this is it. Nice spicy food.
Who could ever think that a simple bowl of noodles could cost $15 but still find it to be cheap eats compared to other establishment in any part of the world? YEP ICELAND. For a bowl of flavorful noodle soup at $15 it is considered as very cheap and reasonable. We love the broth, I got extra noodles - the staff were friendly. The place is no fuss and very relaxing. We love the simpleness of everything - high table, chairs, big pot of soup simmering away at the station. Definitely a good place to go when it gets cold outside in Iceland. Love it!!
