Ambiance n food quality is good. Helpings are small and could be more generous for the price. Somewhat expensive, can be priced slightly lower for better business. Overall a nice experience

Had an Amazing Supper with my friends at this Cafe, I must say that the Ambience is so damn good, Located in the heart of the city yet so peaceful and calm. The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. From the Generous topping of olive oil and walnuts on my pizza to the Amazingly Saucy Ravioli, Everything Top- Notch !!Service by staff was Awesome and the waitresses who served me were very accommodating, Kudos To Them !!Will be back Deffinitely !!

The cafe by Master chef Pankaj Bhadouria, Cafe By Default, is at a prime location in the city. Easily navigable.The cafe is nicely designed and is quite spacious. Also, the music was good. The cafe has good, serene vibes.Coming to the food~ We had an espresso, cappuccino, Chicken poppers & Mushroom Cheese Ravioli. I liked the cappuccino and also the ravioli.The texture of the tomato gravy was good and also the mushroom filling was tasty.The staff was amicable and aware about their menu unlike many.One thing I would to mention was the washrooms were not functioning well and maybe they had some water issues that day but it is workable I think.

Overpriced place with not so good food.. I ordered pasta and pizza.. pasta was good but pizza was opposite of that.. and the coffee was not good either

This place is perfect for an amazing and peaceful supper . Being located in the centre of the city (Hazratganj) it is amazingly beautiful and spacious .The food lives up to the master chef name with everything made perfectly . The peri peri chicken tikka is a must have . The hazelnut shake according to me is the best chocolate shake in the city .The staff is very respectful and welcoming . They make the visit even more peaceful.The ambience is amazing . Very spacious and very well lit with smoothing and trending music playing in the background .Overall it is by far the best place to dine in Hazratganj and I had an amazing time with friends , will definitely visit again .

Great ambience, good service, very good food, though a mite expensive! Good to have such places in shopping hubs like Hazratganj to put up your feet and catch your breath before you hit the streets again! However, the high prices will mean not everyone can come again and again, everyday. Sigh:(

Good ambience and quite spacious. All kinds of cusines available here and it tastes genuine, not like some cheap rip off.

The ambiance was good, but the food quality and taste was really bad.Also one advice for the staff, if a group of four people comes in and order food, please bring everybodys order together. Serving it one by one, that too 5-10min apart is a really bad was to serve, either some of them has to wait to eat there food (and thus making it cold), or they have to start without others(which is a bad manners).

While ganjing with friends, we stumbled upon this amazing joint owned by winner of Masterchef India Season 1, Mrs. Pankaj Bhadouria. The food was really masterchefy. Sitting area was quite big, it had 20-30 odd tables. Mostly empty on a Saturday night, maybe due to the flavor they served was different from awadhi cuisine. Our order Wings on Fire and Dahi ke Sholey followed by Italian Meatball Pizza. Wings on fire was actually hot wings glazed with beautiful sauce, and to cool off, our dahi ke sholey came to the rescue. Wings were accompanied by one lemonade and kabab were served with a mayonnaise look-a- like mousse. Pizza had a little less to praise, they used parmesan cheese which is harder than mozzarella cheese which made it stretch more and had no gluey effect which we Indians enjoy in a pizza. Few of the dishes we order were unavailable at that time but it didnt kill our apatite. In baverages we ordered Classic Mojito, Tiramisu Shake and Spicy Guava Mojito, the latter was not available so instead we ordered Kiwi Mojio. Shake was thick and mojitos were refreshing. Overall I found something different in the awadh city which I really enjoyed. Love to by back and cant wait to try new dishes off their menu.

I have visited here only once but will try to go again and many times. We had pizza and it was awesome. Fries were perfect which you get at very few places. Prices are little high but when you taste their food, its totally worth it.

Went there for the first time with a friend. The Mutton Tacos were out of this world!!! I could keep going back just for them.. The Bolognese pasta was way too tangy like it had an overdose of tomatoes. But the Berry Shake was really good too.. Going to go again to try other stuff

I think the people are very unprofessional as they conduct show of stand up of bassi and that too without proper infrastructure.....AC was not working, sound had the issue and while performance they where making coffee with machine on his head..I think Restaurant should work on proper infra and producer of the show should also do some ground check reality as COMEDY is A SERIOUS BUSINESS....

We drove to this place for one hour. And after reaching we had a shock....The restaurant is closed on a Saturday. Called them and got to know that the restaurant is under renovation. How do they manage such a casual attitude? They could have at least uploaded their website....Very disappointed

First time was good and 2 star for the second time yesterday when we decided to eat at bengali food festival. All the dishes were not served even after reminders and service was very slow. Starters were decent but main course was sort of poor. Needs a lot of research before hosting such fests. Disappointed !!

This is one of the best cafes among the ones I have recently visited.There is ample space inside . There is also live music and the menu is diverse. Although it is a bit on the costlier side but it is worth it given its location.

Pathetic food quality. Absolute garbage. They use frozen meat, days old probably, you can tell by the smell of the meat. Ive never had such an awfully bad tasting pizza ever in my life. I wish I could vote less than 1 star I definitely would. Not sugegsted at all.

We tried , two pizzas from the menu, a margertia pizza and veggie supreme pizza along with a cold coffee and a chocolate shake , the pizza was really not good and worth the price paid for it the crust of tue pizza was too bad and was not properly made the quality of cheese used in pizza was also not good. Lot of scope of improvement was felt. The water was drizzling from the ac vents and was coming all over the seat. Not good at all and knowing that it is of the master chief so we expect if not good then a decent ambiance which was missing.

Place is nicely done, sitting arrangements are perfect. Café has utilized its space somewhat wisely by giving necessary gap between table.Not making crowded like other cafes... the idea here is good of giving everyone their personal space and peace and not stuffing people in for earning.As per the space and quality service theyre providing. It will reflect on the bill, but its ok. They deserve that.Coming to food, theres nothing new or creative here. Presentation while serving is decent, what I did expected from place was to incorporate more flavors in dishes and make your own chutney/ sauces/ dips.To my disappointment kebab served with mint mayo is a bit disappointing. Theres no connection between two. Other than that the keema pav were delicious and right amount of crispy.Thanks to the chef who was very kind and the helpers utterly adorable.

Exceptional flavours in all cuisines! Usually many dishes at a restautant taste similar. Here every dish seems to have a unique flavour. I loved the presentation of the food, the nature of the staff and the classy decor too. They add service charge to thr bill which is probably good for the employees but shouldnt be done without informing the customer.

Doesnt deserve any star at all.Me and a friend of mine suffered with food poisioning and needed hospital admission after having dinnner at this cafe on different occasions. Substandard food and significantly overpriced. It should be rightly named cafe by fault.

The cafe is a good effort in the direction of being cozy, warm and welcoming to friends get togethers. The shakes we tried were good. And so was the chicken khurchan taco! Aglio olio, however, was just okay-ish. Would recommend if you want to try some new place in Lucknow.

Not good. Over hyped, slow service and much more. The food is okay-ish.I had a bad experience in the place.- The service is slow and not good. They brought my main course (pasta) before bringing the appetizer (nachos).- There was a bug in my drink. When I complained, the drink was taken away and not replaced. Once I complained to the manager (after finishing the food), I was told the drink will be there soon. I was in no mood to drink it after finishing the meal.- After talking to the manager (for whom I had to ask for twice), we were provided some discount.- They charge service charge. Even if you ask them to remove it, they just deduct that amount from the total bill and then charge it again on the remaining amount.Conclusion: Not worth the time or money. You are just going to get frustrated.
