Direct auto is available from any corner of Lucknow to Charbagh railway station. Many types of food stalls will also be found outside Charbagh railway station and many types of clothes are also available here.The language of Lucknow is very good, people speak Awadhi very well. Its great to meet the people here and everyone is very polite.Ambedkar Park, 1090 Chauraha, River Front, Samta Mulak Chauraha, Lohia Park and Janeshwar Mishra Park are also at some distance from the station. Lucknow LKO and Lucknow NR are just side by side and Charbagh (metro) is also very nearby just outside the station. Lighting in the night enahces the beauty of the station (See pic). Hotels and staying facilities are available outside station as well as inside the station(Dormitories).

The station premises are clean and tidy. The train indicators are working properly. Water and eating facilities are located in proper places without hindering the incessant traffic flow. All well maintained place inside. Ample space is available for the passengers to wait. Lucknow junction Charbagh was designed by J. H. Horniman. The foundation of the railway station was placed in March 1914. The building was completed in 1923.A major role in its design and planning was carried out by Chaubey Mukta Prasad, a consulting engineer for Ms Lanebrown and Hulett.It has a large garden in front of the building. It incorporates the mix of Rajput, Awadhi and Mughal architecture and has a palatial appearance. The old Chotti Line station has come a long way. You can take a coupon and if your train is on platform no 6, you can drive to your bogey and park right in front. Makes life much easier.Otherwise be prepared for a long walk as the platforms are perpendicularly aligned to the entrance. Which means a long walk if your coach is close to the engine.The canteen is average but snacks are available in kiosks at the platform. A nice food court would have been a really good idea.

Even in this Covid situation, I was amazed to see the facilities and cleanliness of the platform. There were security everywhere, testing were going on. The platform was clean and hygienic. Oy thing I didnt like was the behaviour of people, they were still dumb and their behaviour were like there is nothing to worry about. I feel pity for them.

Superb Charbagh Railway Station with its glorified Architecture. The Building is almost 100 years old and was constructed around year 1939 under British Rule. The Architecture is like a palace with large halls and waiting areas. Only Public Restroom facility can be difficult to find tidy. The beauty with lightings is amazing in night. One can surely find the place soothing and good in the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Platform 1 is so much clean and tiduy with all facilities.

Lucknow Railway station also refer as Badi Line. I am taking trains from this station from past 15 years and seen the development it has gone through. All the basic facilities are available at the station. Wheelchair facility is also there on request.Chemist shop is at Platform no 1. Platform 1 is the cleanest platform among others and you can find restaurant as well. Train like New Delhi Ac express runs from platform 1.Security check needs to be improved as people enter without scanning their luggage.Halt and Go facility is very poor. They should learn from New Delhi Railway station.

Station with a much wider space. No foot over bridge while getting out from the platform. Very good for older people. Much clean and less crowded as compared to Lucknow NE station of the Charbagh. Yes Services are good and improving with day by day, there is not proper sitting arrangement for people waiting for trains outside the platform. It is not clean there are big rats roaming around the station premises. No proper security check up at the entrance and exit gates of the station.

And LKo.Electric cart vehicles also available at 20rs per seat to drop you to respective platform.Old and well maintained architecture. It is walking distance from metro station.UP Government Roadways bus Stand is also at walking distance.All general facilities are available at platform no:01.Large and Clean waiting hall at platform no 01.But the outside primises of the Jn is very dirty. All public /food stalls/autos/ local stalls spread over the road. Always blocking traffic.

This station was once known as the CHHOTI LINE, as the cab driver gleefully informed me. It once catered to all metre guage trains passing through LucknowIt has 6 platforms, and the 6th platform is accessible directly to cabs and other transport on payment of a fee of ₹ 35. This saves a lot of luggage charges and climbing up and down stairs & escalatorsAfter 10 the water vending stalls on PF 3 & 6 were closed and no cold water was available in any of the stalls on either of these platforms.Visited in May 2019 to take the train to Vapi (to visit Daman)

Cleanliness is average type as usual in northen part of country. Wi-Fy, snack, beverages, potable water and bottled water is also available on the platform. You can get metro service just outside of this station. Motorized rickshaws, shared auto, tempo, taxi etc are also available just outside the station. Commodities should be sale on MRP ,,, except this issue all basic facilities are ok.Lots of construction work are on going to enhance d station infrastructure & elongation of platform is d most priority work because most of the time last 2-3 coaches of train are standing behind the end of platform .so, passengers r suffered & they could not get anything which they needed at that time.

Pretty good actually as compared to the the other Charbagh station which is just adjacent to it. Its more clean and well organised and you have a drive-through platform here too.
