Very sweet staff... Amazing food (Both, South Indian plus North India). My full family loved the way the staff treated us.. Very hygienic and super value for money food. Super Affordable... Super Yummy. Highly Recommend!!
My favourite in Lucknow. I believe they are loosing down the standard of their brands. Otherwise there are many street food trucks available in budget of 100rs.
Worst experience, ordered Family Dosa and got severe stomach pain today. I think, oil used for the items caused this issues with me as well as other people had been there. Coconut chatni and Sambar was also below standard. This is the second time experienced at Sagar Ratna. Owner need to look into it. 1 * (star) for the dirty tables as well as the entire experience.
We went for my dads birthday yesterday. The food was tasteless. Naan was like papad. Even a stall from the roadside can prepare better dosa. It is so expensive but worthless.Service was also very slow. Not at all recommended.
Sagar Ratna Restaurant is Lucknow’s one of the best restaurant for having breakfast, lunch or dinner with family, friends or with any colleagues or so. I visited their with my family and my experience was so awesome. Place was very neat and clean. Staff was well dressed. They treated very well. Completely hygienic. Food was so yummy, delicious and well presented. Food quality was too good. They took little much time as they offered but the result was great. I highly recommend this restaurant.
They are a franchise shop and not a company owned outlet. You should be ready for awfully delayed orders and a bad taste. Sagar Ratna dahi vada is a great recipe: Ive tried several times in Delhi; however, this one in the Aliganj (Lucknow) center were hard. Dosa was too crispy, rather I would just call it hard. Waiters were far less in number resulting in delayed orders. I spent 1500 for paneer tikka, 2 masala dosa, 1 dahi vada, 1 dahi idli and 2 coffee. Coffee was too strong and sour (equivalent to double shot espresso). I found this dinner overpriced as well.
Service is really worst. I mean, we have to wait almost 45 minutes for 2 Tandoori Roti and 1 Mushroom Matar. Would like to give Half * but Google doesnt allow it I guess.
Not at all up to mark, totally not worth it..I wish they knew that south indian food is more than just adding too much tamarind to everything...quality is not that good and cost is way too high for what they offer.
Sagar Ratna started its first branch in Defence Colony in 1986 and since then it has moved on to become the most preferred destination for South Indian cuisines across the country. Within a short span Sagar Ratna has spread its wings far and wide and today with more than 90 restaurants, Sagar Ratna has established its presence in the National Capital Region (NCR) through company owned restaurants and in various prominent cities of North India through franchise outlets. Having won numerous awards in the Hospitality industry in various categories over the years, Sagar Ratna continues to delight its customers with its authentic South Indian food cooked fresh many times a day.
Worst food... served stale paneer tikka by just microwaving it... dosa was OK but sambhar n chatni didnt look fresh. All in all must avoid place
Today we visited Sagar Ratna and ordered Masala Dosa. To my great surprise, it was made up of such a poor and simple ingredients (boil potato) that one can taste like it around roadside. One dont need to pay Rs. 200 for such pathetic cuisine.
I visited Sagar Ratna Aliganj . I am giving it a three star since the service was not at all good.
Very bad service even their ac is not working nd very bad food quality totally waste of money 👎
Sagra Ratna is always best for South Indian
Its the Brand Name, which pulls the customers otherwise the food is so-so.As the brand name Sagar Ratna, we had visited them at multiple cities and expected the food quality to be equivalent but to our dismay found to be wanton in basic South Indian Masala Dosa & Idli & Wada. The salt in Sambar was in excess with Masala not in sync with Dosa, Sambar, Chutney(s). The Idli was very hard and the Wada was too oily. I did not like the taste at all.Ambience is so... so..
This is our go-to place for family dinner due to its varietious range of dosas and Chinese. Their veg cheese dosa and Mysore paneer dosa are one of a kind and not to be missed. The onion chutney is a bliss and a blend of perfect texture and condiments. The place is well lit with a soothing ambience. The staff is very courteous and the soft music playing always stimulates your appetite.
Food is good but service is slow
Very very poor preparation ...only name is valid..other wise total bogus🤬👎👎👎👎
Pathetic experience.. this used to be a good restaurant with good service but this time we had a very bad experience. We waited for 30 min to get the table and after that waited another 35 min till someone came to take the order. Asked water multiple times which we got only once we got the food.Food quality was drastically low. Giving two star since we got the food.
Two much delay time due to less staff waiting time is more than 45 min worst not recommended at all...
Its a decent place to satisfy ones craving for south indian food. They also have north indian food in their menu. Visited gomtinagr outlet quite a no. of times, this was my first visit to this outlet. And i must mention, this place is pretty good ! It gave me calm peaceful environment with soothing music. Coming to food, i had spring roll dosa and masala dosa. Both tasted awesome. Dosas were accompanied by sambhar and 3 types of chutneys. Service was really quick. So, overall a great place to have both authentic south indian food and north indian as well ! 🙂
Best place if you want a tasty food and with decent budget. The service is good. Never over crowded. Must taste is veg biryani.
Nice place nice ambiance, food is also too good and they have variety of item other than South Indian but there filter coffee is not too good its like normal coffee....
Best place with courties staff and nice ambiance. Food was good survice was awesome...
Placed at quite & calm locality, Food also Ok, service good,Tried south indian and was Ok, not very authentic South indian but taste was ok for a change. TAKES lot of time in preperation.
Decent place for eating. South Indian specialist. If you want to try some good south Indian food, visit Sagar Ratna. They have wide variety of south Indian food. Apart from south Indian they also have north Indian and Chinese cuisine. Food is good. Service is also fast enough and good. Place is quit, neat and clean and decent. A good place to visit going with friends are family. They serve in steel plates we usually call it Thali at home. Overall a good place to dine in.
Must try garlic dosa
Pathetic..Very disappointed with the staff this time. This is all new staff after the pandamic . It was Sunday so there was rush obviously little rush but the way staaf and manager behaved was very bad they didnt say on the face but they were planning and plotting how we leave the restaurant so that they may accomodate other people . We didnt finish even half of our food and waiter was there asking what else we wanted , manager was roaming around seeing us and waiter kept asking aur kuch nahi lena to bill ley aaye. They were doing the same with almost everyone except who just came.Earlier I use to go there every week now I wont even go there. This incident is of the day 28.02.2021
Worst experience ever......dont believe that sagar ratna the famous brand do that cheap things...I have ordered veg biryani which costs 210 rs. But the biryaani is so worstless and tasteless....total biryani is stale from 2 days.....i complaint their manager about it but...really never go this brance of sagar ratna....if u want to go some restro go to saffron.....good places to enjoy in reasonable cost....
Worst food....too much oily...tasteless food.
Such a wierd experience.Never thought of it.Someone suggested of this restaurant for the south indian dishesI ordered paneer chilly and cheese and masal type dosaAnd it felt like I ordered onion chilly and onion dosa.Such a large quantity of onion in every food.Very wierd.
Taste is not upto mark
Good food and good vibes
This place in Aliganj near Nehru vatika seems very unprofessional and unethical. Sagar Ratna all over India is famous for its delicacies but not this one. Im attaching a picture of their famous GHEE GARLIC PEPPER MASALA DOSA and I think we have to put a microscope to find the named ingredients.A few weeks before they had accomodation issues, we waited for almost half an hour standing, then we were offered a seat, but as soon as we could sit, manager asked us to vacate the seat. It was very embarassing for me as I was with my family and chanting praises of SAGAR RATNA. I left the place immediately thinking its Sunday evening and they would be mismanaged.Today again when I visited the place, only to find out MICROSCOPIC GARLIC AND PEPPER in my all time favourite dosa.Visit their another outlet near TEDHI PULIA, Vikas Nagar to find out the difference between the two places and to discover original taste of Sagar Ratna. As Ive resided in Tamilnadu for almost 10 years and I do know the authentic Chettinad south indian taste, I can blindly say this is not the one which it should be.
If you arrived here with expectation set from other city Sagar Ratna outlet, youll be disappointed. Most of the time , thali is not available. Food not up to the mark in terms of taste and quality. 3 Star is max I can vote for this Aliganj Outlet.
Rasam served in a glass is the most rubbish thing here.... soup kinda things should be served in wide bowls so that spoon can fill up some quantity.....
Good food and good service with hygiene. Prices a little bit high.
Good restaurant for pure veg food you can organise any type of mini partty its located near nehru bal vatica lucknow
Best for South Indian dishes
Food quality has dropped below average compared to what they used to offer 3 years ago.
Taste is good ,it will not disappoint you but lot of rush during festive season
Have a great taste and a good waiter services provided to customers .....
The taste is authentic. Tried their masala dosa, kadhai paneer and Tandoori roti, rice with rasam and Dahi vada. Everything tasted amazing, tickled my tastebuds for more. Except for Dahi vada, the vada used was too hard. So that was the only minus point. Rest the ambience and decor are beautiful and the service is good too. Located on the main road just below moti Mahal Tandoori trail.
Too expensive. Cost benefit ratio is bad. You cant have dosas at Rs.200 plus. The sambar n chutney are not authentic. Its clear the cooks dont know the basic ingredients. We should look for cost effective options.
Good dosa
Very expensive restaurant and the taste of food is very hail. It is better to eat street food. I taken food from here and there is stomach ache in night very bad quality food. I want to give zero but minimum one star is cumpolsary.
Awesome Dahi Vada...
Service was slow but overall food was good. A good family restaurant.
Degraded service n quality
Not so good. better go to some other place
Nice place for south indian food
Appreciate their hospitality n maintaining d hygiene n most importantly authentic taste.
Good food and vibes...easy to find from road
Well, First time I visited S R & thinking of going there every week. Good service, Neat & friendly staff, reasonable prices, nicely decorated interior. What else do we look for ? Parking, we can find it easily.
Clean and peaceful atmosphere. Different vegetarian preparations are available on reasonable rates. Sufficient parking space is available on the road side. Staff is very courteous. Best place in the transformation region. Best time is dinner time.
Good south indian food and overall vegetarian food
Loved the food! Aroma at the restaurant is just awesome
Nice 🙂
Masala dosa not delicious
Poor quality of food
Awesome like always... Food was good service was awesome... Ambiance was nice.
Artificial flavours and quality of food
Food and the ambience was really good.. but should work a little more on the presentation of food else it was fabulous visiting the place.. highly recommended to everyone
Good restaurant if you are interested in South Indian food. North Indian food is also awesome, but from few months back they are disappointing.staff is good and cooperative and outside of kitchen is maintained. inside I dont know so dont take it as negative.overall good.
The manager is too rude and shows attitude by giving irrelevant excuses when you ask politely for something.Do not visit if you dont want to get yourself humiliated not only by their service but also the food may not be upto the mark you may be expecting in a South Indian restaurant. The brand name should be wiped off.
Their food & service, both have gone down considerably! So disappointed!
It’s a good Pure veg restaurant with good options in Indian, Chinese and South Indian food. Good place to go with family. Reasonable pricing.
Hands down the *best place* for authentic south Indian cuisine in Lucknow beating all other competitors.Their Giant 4 feet dosa is a must try for all the foodies out there (Serves 4).Perfect place for a cosy and quiet meal with your family or a date.Taste- 5/5Ambience- 5/5Value for money -5/5
Very awesome place for dinner with family
Sagar ratna aliganj Restaurant is Lucknow’s one of the best restaurant for having dinner with family, or with any colleagues or so. I visited their with friends for lunch my experience was so awesome. Place was very neat and clean. Staff was well dressed. They treated very well. Completely hygienic. Food was so yummy, delicious and well presented. Food quality was too good. They took little much time as they offered but the result was great. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Well pleasantly surprised with this branch had rava mysore masala, chaas and south indian thali and still relishing the lovely taste and hospitality. Its a small branch but the staff tries hard and definitely worth a stop for a hungry customer.
If you are looking for a place to enjoy authentic South Indian dishes in Lucknow then its got to be Sagar Ratna Restaurant. 💖 The food is scrumptious 😋😋😋 Just love this place 💖
Food quality was good but the service was to late
In name of South Indian restaurant, spoiling the impression on food items. Most of the items are cooked at there central kitchen located at some other place in city and by vehicle transported to different branch outlets. Odd taste that develops during whatever way of transporting even if they claim refrigerated, many local people do not feel the difference with freshly cooked since they take it as real taste.
Terrible. The food did not have a South Indian flavour. The service was slow and the waiters were inattentive. This is the worst outlet I have visited, of this otherwise superb chain. I will definitely never visit this particular restaurant again.
