Only asked for drinks at start of meal, not once more til we paid the bill! Toilet privacy is a joke! Food werent that good. Decor could do with updating (especially the Christmas decorations still up in summer!) ....Wish Id saved myself £40 now and had me Bombay BadBoy noodles.

I first visited this place nearly 20 years ago, and made the mistake of ordering the Phaal in an act of macho bravado. Very tasty but I was rolling in beads of sweat and my mouth was on fire!Tonight I returned for a takeaway, I almost tried the other Indian takeaway in town but glad I didnt.The Viceroy havent not lost their touch. Still excellent, Ihad the rogan josh, the lamb was very tender but not mushy, just how it should be. Delicious prawn puree. Even the garlic and cheese nan was spot on.Never mind all the modern fusion rubbish, if you want a proper curry, come here.The Viceroy, still the Governor-General of Looe!

Ordered a large takeaway for my family it was amazing ! Haven’t had such good Indian food for a very long time , Also delivered to Downderry for £7 😳 Bargin ! by a lovely lady .Thank you ! We will be back !

Initially gave this a two, mainly due to the fact that we booked for 7.15. We waited for half an hour in the front of the restaurant, with no offer of a drink. Sat down at 7.45 and received our starter at 9.00pm. Food was excellent but the service was poor. More staff would have been good. 🤔

Took over 2 hours to deliver. We choose delivery instead of walking to ensure it was warm. It arrived cold and when we called was ignored and placed on hold for over 10 minutes had to recall to talk to somebody. Delivery driver very friendly returned item with him. Would give no stars but unable to. Only consolation was it smelt nice.

Tucked away, it is a lovely little place. Perfectly located in the centre of Looe. Food portions are good and very tasty. Decor is a bit of a let down but overall very pleasant.

We picked up takeaways twice in October 2020. The venue is called Viceroy of Cornwall now. There was a 20 minute wait, but the food is excellent: extensive menu, hot, fresh, just love the thick, soft, doughy naan!

Food is okay for the price, nothing special. As it’s the only Indian in town then yes you should go here if you feel like an Indian but compared other Indian restaurants I’ve eaten at I can’t justify giving it 4 or 5 stars. Service was slightly below average. Waiters were reasonable but the guy at front door was blunt and borderline rude/dismissive.

Food was really nice at Viceroy Indian restaurant in Looe.staff friendly had to wait a little while but due to covid they can only use half the tables. My only comment were the small plates at the beginning of our meal were badly chipped.

One of the only restaurants still open at 8pm on a Sunday! Very nice curry.

Had a lovely meal from the specials menu of Garlic Fried Lamb with the best naan I have ever had. The service was excellent and the staff were lovely. We will be back again before the end of our holiday. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

A little poem about our visit...Looe tandoori is only great,If you like a very long wait.There was no problem with the food,But the miserable waiter was very rude.With no apology, you sit and wait,Then your food is thrown at you on a plate.A complaint is made, we hear what is said,Give me a refund or Ill smash in your head (this was said by an actual customer, who had been waiting for over 90 minutes for their takeaway)So next time Im looking for somewhere to eat,This wont be an experience I wish to repeat.However...If there is someone you really hate,Tell them that this place is great!

Great food, but was extremely busy and even though we had booked well in advance we were stuck near the entrance on the end of a temporary table which drafty and with people coming in and out to collect takeaways... Not the setting I was expecting. They still continued to cram people in and we had a steady stream of people who had to squeeze past our table.

Very good. But the sit down meals are always much better than the take away and sometimes the wait for a take away can be bum numbingly long. So Im taking away a star, to munch on whilst I wait!

The new management is lovely and the food is amazing my whole family enjoyed. Classic, traditional restaurant and we go very often. On Friday it was very busy however we were very taken care of. 👍🏻

Superb food, great service and very friendly staff, never had a bad meal here, and will even cook the food how you like it!!!! I would personally recommend their chicken rogan josh cooked between madras and vindaloo heat myself!!! They treat the kids like little adults too which make them feel special and even opened the door for us when we left! Price is very reasonable too! This is the only Indian I will use easily the best around!!!!

Came here for the first time with a party of 7. Would go back again! Firstly the staff were brilliant with us and the kids, we asked for a meal to be brought out early as one of the children has autism and can get restless real quick. All the food was brilliant and even got another starter russeled up when I decided I wanted what everyone else was having. Food was fresh and piping hot with good sized portions! We bagged some up and brought it back. Lovely place to eat!

Poor service. I advised the miserable waiter that my partner is allergic to mushrooms. She still was served a main course containing mushrooms. The restaurant is is a poor state too. My food was great, but the poor service and run down state of the restaurant means I wouldnt recommend it.

Went to this Indian restaurant last night and will be visiting again, the next time we are in the area.The food was very tasty and fresh and the onion barjees were delicious! Lovely atmosphere and we chose to sit in a booth type seat, which made it cosy and private - bliss!!Highly recommend 👍👍👍

Great curry house, excellent food. Its how a curry house should be. Reminds me of a how curry houses in London were 25 years ago before they got too posh.

The wait was one and half hour for a take away my curry had five pieces of meat in it very tasteless I think where you only have one cuisine in the local area it dominates and they feel they dont have to try. Very disappointed would say go to the local Aldi about five mile away it would probably be more tasteful and more vale for money

Nice little place, staff are nice and friendly and food was like an average curry house, will do the job if you after an Indian. Takeaway or eat in, just waited 30 mins myself but if you call in advance for takeaway they will have it ready for you saves waiting.

Arguably the best Indian restaurant in the area . Above average . There have been horrific waits in the past when they are busy .. personally I waited 2 hours for a takeaway once ..... Luckily the fishermans arms was near !! . I have to say though that I dont think this is typical . I would maybe suggest if the waiting area is full ...avoid . Other than that ... Visit with confidence .

Lovely chap served us but food was poor

Excellent food, absolutely tasty, tender meat with decent portions. Service was very fast and friendly. We had phal, chicken and mushroom curry and bhuna with mixed curried vegetables. It was really marinated and cooked to perfection.

We had a takeaway whilst holidaying in looe. Food was of very poor quality. Beef curry- needed a hammer and bolster to cut through the beef. It Was tough as old leather.Chicken madras- wasnt the best. Again meat way over cooked and of low quality cuts. Like chewing bullets. Same with the saag.Meals took ages to prepair too.Very disappointing meal.
