The worse Japanese restaurant in my life. I went to the place for a buffet. I should be charged only 17.99 as per menu. But in the end I paid 19.9 because of 10 percent service charge. The buffet rules are super weird. We can only order for 4 rounds. And they even give us the time schedule. Is this the factory or restaurant? The restaurant is run by Chinese, I supposed. The food is not tasty and far from original. Fish are not fresh. Will never come back

First, We booked a table for 1 pm,arrived 15 min late and was told our time started from the time of booking! That would be acceptable if they were busy and people were waiting to be seated, but the restaurant was almost empty the whole time we were there! The sushi was old and smelly! Both fish and the rice were dry! Like they’ve been made night before and not fresh at all! The fish in the rolls were even worse, they were almost rotten! The staff were friendly, but they were staring at us the whole time!

Its annoying to read others remarks about the staffs hurried and rude approach as they set the rules and most people think theyre entitled to change them. I have personally been here at least 25 times, on my own, with my partner or entertaining guests who are staying with us and have never experienced any of these issues. The foods great, attentive service and would eat here every day if I could. Long live Sushi Cafe.

Honestly the best sushi in London. 10/10. All you can eat menu is structured as three rounds of 6 plates per person. Believe me when I say it really is all you can eat! £5 person food waste charge is really important too. So start light! Cant wait for our next trip 😍

UPDATE 25/07/11:you ask me whose problem is it?! but dont really need an answer right? since all the comments here complain that you charge more then you should! obviously the problem is with you!Even because you already arrived with the rounded value in the card machine. if we ( your clients) want to tip, we should tell you to increase the amount, and DON’T you include it without asking! 😉17/07/21 review:At the beginning was all good, but when we received the food, all sushi’s was hot (the rice was hot). And at the end, they charge us more( the price is £17,99, but they charge £19,80 “because of the service”, and also, on the bill you need to pay 10% of the service charge again, and the waiter charge us more then our total bill, we just saw that when we already paid.. we ask what was that and he said he was rounding the amount (was supposed to be £57,20 he charge me £60). That is funny, because he didn’t ask before. Also everybody was seated to close, no space for nothing, and to much noise. We choose this restaurant for my birthday today, and was terrible! So sad

The best, reasonably priced Japanese food i have ever had, you can get up to 6 portions per person (which filled me up to the point where i couldn’t move) and they are reasonably sized. They do multiple kinds of sushi, with loads of toppings, as well as yakisoba and noodle soup. Some of the noodles dishes are smaller so you can eat more different food! they also have fried side dishes such as chicken karaage and mixed tempura!! overall my favourite Japanese restaurant experience so far in terms of food and quality. However staff kept rushing us, and we got charged the wrong amount of money. Our bill was £53.97 but we got charged £60 for some reason? Not sure we were being rushed so much we weren’t even able to speak to them which ruined the experience right at the end.

This is the actual place for sushi lovers.I was quite happy to know that they were running EOTHO scheme on their buffet do I decided to visit not once but twice.Their seaweed salad and chicken teriyaki will simply take you to heaven while their chicken katsu sushi would make you go more. The place is small and clean. Staff was quite attentive and service is quite quick thats why you are allowed to spend only 1.5 hours in that place for buffet. Servers are not chatty and smiley thou except one which was Angie.£16.98 is the original price£10.20 Service charge included was the discounted price.I found ANGIE, quite chatty and smiley who recommended me which sushi to order and was not disappointed at all.I have been served both times by her. I only wish to have a huge tummy so I can keep eating. I love it so much.I even forgot my wallet on my last trip and realized when the bill came. Angie was so understanding and the manager trusted me so they kept my phone and I ran back home to get my wallet. I really hate myself do this however I guess thats an another example of this place that how understanding and patience all.y are.I will definitely recommend this place to go and their kind gesture towards me.

Especially the okonomiyaki lollipops (£1) extra.. With beers comes to probably under £30 after a long day without any food just water I feel completely satiated and ready to go home and chill.. I was suggested this restaurant by a friend of mine who goes regularly and has told me it’s very good, I will admit after reading some of the reviews it made me question wether or not I’d want to visit. What I will say is don’t go off of the bad reviews, as each person has their own opinion and you should go and make your own opinion on the restaurant. As I arrived with my partner the staff seemed very friendly. They sat us down and explained how the ordering works for the buffet. I will admit it was a little confusing but we got the hang of it pretty quick.Once we ordered the food arrived pretty fast and it all tasted very fresh. Specially as it’s fish it was all very fresh fish and tasty too.One thing I was not a fan of was the staff walking up to your table every 15 seconds and walking away. It’s not a deal breaker but just something the staff can maybe work on.Overall I was satisfied with my visit.I do 100% recommend it.If you are a fan of sushi or Japanese food in general.

I was really looking forward to the buffet experience but its something Id never want to repeat! First you have 1.5 hours to order and finish your food. You will be literally asked to leave. The food is not already made so it will likely take 30 mins for it to arrive. When we went they had a problem with their systems and we only got food after one hour of waiting. Their buffet tick boxes menu is not very straightforward to understand. You get charged for food wastage (no doggy boxes). Its a small restaurant and very crowded, theres no 2 meters distance rule being observed among each table and its loud as hell so you cant really have a conversation. In the end very stressful.

Very nice place, good service and the food is really fresh. The buffet is not all you can eat 100% since you are given three serves. The first two serves you can have 6 different sets, each containing different number of portions, and with the last one you can only have 5 sets. However, you can arrange the sets in a way you end up having 102 sushi rolls! I only had a issue with the billing at the end, as I was overcharged but it was solved promptly

Not the best experience I had with a sushi all you can eat. Obviously if you want to have a big dinner this is the right restaurant and the staff is ok as a costumer service, but I wouldnt Recommend it as a first choice because is really small and crowded (i literally had a headache after I left), waiters rather then lift the chairs when they prepare the tables they push them which makes more noise, then you have only one and hour to finish your food and they literally steal the plate under your nose after you have finish so you can leave earlier. Last but not least the person in charge to collect the money (I dont know if he is the manager but I guess so), add more money then we supposed to pay, for example we meant to pay 47,80 £ and he told us fine 48.00 £?, Of course is only 20 p but if you start to do that with any single costumer you will be able to open a new restaurant by the end of the year!

Worst experience ever. From the moment you walk in, they make it so obvious that they want you to hurry up and leave. Was told by various different waiters throughout the night what time our table booking was due to end. This happened about 10 times, its so off-putting when youre trying to enjoy your meal and its obvious that they just want you to hurry up and leave. 1hr 30mins per sitting is evidently not enough time. I noticed throughout the night that whilst tables were still eating, the waiters were coming over with card machines to make people hurry up and pay and leave. They kept shouting last orders at tables too. They even took my food away whilst I was still eating and shoved the card reader in my face. I couldnt believe it!! I ended up leaving still hungry and in shock. They really need to focus more on customer service instead of trying to get as many people in and out as quickly as possible. Horrible experience!!!

Very unpleasant and unsettling. Food was way off standard, exceedingly stuffy though poor in quality. Most importantly, not authentic Japanese cuisine. Customers service was not worth the 10% surcharge, two waiters were talking behind our back in Chinese by the corner, unfortunately for them, we do speak Chinese. Plus, there is a time limit of ordering food that we understand we have to leave by then, though its incredibly rude to continously urge us to finish eating. To sum up, i dont personally recommend this restaurant if you want to experience expected standard customer service and All you can eat Japanese food.

UPDATE: The £39.55 included the 10% tip they add to everyones bill, and no, I was not asked whether I wanted to round the bill up. Judging by other peoples same experiences recently they seem to think this is an OK way to run their business, whilst demonstrating a blaming attitude to their customers for letting them get away with it in their replies. Says it all really. Was charged £40 on the card reader when the receipt said £39.55 for two people for the limited buffet. Felt uncomfortable at that moment to say anything as the noise/other table guests around us had quietened down, but I shouldnt have to correct the staff regarding this anyway. This place has gone downhill over the years anyway, so whereas I used to visit several times a year, now I only go once or twice. And IF there is a next time I will watch carefully whether they round my bill up and will say something, as if theyre doing this to all the card paying guests, thats a lot of extra unlisted money theyre getting for rushing the guests and all the other nonsense mentioned in other negative reviews.

Avoid! Food quality is not bad, but the service is horrendous. Lots of rules that spoil the fun, time limit you can sit and eat, lots of dishes outside the fixed price menu that make you spend more, extremely small portions on katsu, noodles and tempura... You can order up to 3 times and they asked us at 2pm to place our final 2 orders together because kitchen closes at 3pm. So we did, but then the 3rd order didnt arrive until we pointed out to the waiter that it was missing. He needed some convincing, asked to take the current trays away to take picture (what for??), then moaned that the kitchen was closing. We told him you pressed us to order twice and now you are wasting our time debating, so not really our fault if we got to the kitchen closing time! In the end we got the food we had ordered, but left exhausted.

This is definitely one of the best buffet places i have ever been to. Which is funny because, although its advertised as a buffet, they take your order and bring your food - which you have to select from the menu (6 items max at once) - making it more of a traditional restaurant serving style. The food is really good but, if you are a fan of Asian food, you cant honestly rate it a proper 5*. Many items are hit or miss but the tasty ones arent exactly mind boggling. It may seem that Im criticising it but dont get me wrong: its a really nice place and you get good and plentiful food for the price youre paying - thats why I keep returning every so often with my girlfriend. I attached one of the receipts i paid so you can see the price breakdown (i went for a few premium items which come at an extra charge). I recommend you give this place a shot. Worth it.

We became very welcome and friendly with the staff and never dissatisfied with the service and all you can eat sushi. As of today though, I walked out. I was upset to find theyve changed their policy and can only order 18 pieces per person. Since eating at the restaurant not once has this rule been forced else we wouldnt go because basically its not ALL YOU CAN EAT. Youve lost our business and I expect they will lose much more. Sushi cafe you made a mistake.***In reply to their message. They are correct, they have always had this policy. However they used not be bothered, and if customers didn’t eat any leftovers they’d be billed £5 - I agree this is fare. The whole point I’m making is you truly were all you can eat. This is reason why so many loved it - unlimited sushi. It’s true some of your portions include 6 rolls, but most of them are in fact served in portions of two. My usual order for the last 3 years has been 60-70 portions! Now it’s almost cut in half. Why should the customers who eat lots suffer because others refuse to pay because they order too much - is their own fault make them pay - as the policy states.

Food and value are great, service needs to improve Im afraid, staff are rude and inflexible, the whole time you feel rushed out the door, I know there is a 2h (1h30m to order the 3 courses) slot for buffet, but if you dont constantly ask them to take your choices, theres no way to meet that time. I would definitely come because its such good value, but would love to see the staff act like they actually enjoy serving to justify the 10% service charge automatically added to the bill.

We ordered with delievery, which took over 1.5 hours, and half the order was incorrect and very poor quality.

2 stars just for the service. The service actually was great. The food though doesn’t deserve the £17 all- you-can-eat at all.If you’re after sushi, even Wasabi has better quality. :)
