BE CAREFUL!If you pay them to keep your transcripts safe this means you LOSE ALL ACCESS TO YOUR OWN DATA! I thought I would just lose access to the services features but the reality of paying them 5 euros to keep your transcripts safe is that you lose complete access until you fork out another 50-60 bucksIf my issue ever gets resolved I will update this reviewEdit: It has been resolved, with effort. Afterwards I was hit by another credit card charge which I was able to get back but the one star score is well deserved. I dislike how you are faced with constant threats of data deletion and if you do fork out cash to have your data stored the common methods of accessing it is waiting a few days for their support team to reply or issue a GDPR request for your personal data.If anyone at Trint ever reads this, I always try to leave a good review but I cannot in good conscience recommend your service in its current state (As of August 2021). My data was already important, I cannot recommend anyone actually entrusting large amounts of sensitive data to this company with issues occurring as described above.

Ive used Trint quite a lot for oral history archives and as long as someone is speaking the Queens English its great. However, with more regional accents (most of my oral histories are East London) it finds it difficult to translate. I also think there is a bias in the AI - having interviewed many people who talked about their particular cultural backgrounds, lots of odd sentences were translated to be about crime (when they werent about this) - this happened on multiple interviews which was odd.My main bugbear with them is the expense - they offer no consideration or rates for charities and not for profit organisations and that seems pretty unscrupulous and uncaring. It is expensive and therefore elitist. Whilst these customers may not be able to pay the full amount now, the word of mouth advertising and connections in future would surely translate into benefits later down the line for them.

I used Trint services for a small project and forgot to end my subscription (my fault) but I ended up emailing their support email and they got back to me right away with a refund! Just want to leave a review as a thanks for their great service and quick turnaround time!

Great for the value. Not sure how the recordings are transcribed but on some submissions (using the same recording device) the quality is different. I feel at times I’m doing majority of the transcribing when editing the documents. But it is still 4 to 5 product based on the value when compared to paying someone.

Trint transcribes videos instantaneously, is very accurate, and separates each speaker into a new line. But what I like most about it, is that I can edit right within the transcription interface, choose and highlight soundbites, and watch the video in real-time, to see the delivery. Then, Trint gives you an option to export a document with the highlights, or highlights only. Its helped me to speed up my video script workflow!

This service is fantastic. It is intuitive and everything I would want from a transcription tool. This has been extremely helpful in my work on my doctorate. I love that it is web based, the transcription is very accurate.

The accuracy is quite ok, and gives you a decent base document to work from. What I really like is the clean and smart user interface for editing the text after the automatic transcription. Definitely a timesaver for me, but if you do a lot of transcription its worth comparing with other services on cost/minute.

Weve transcribed about 50 interviews through trint. When we first started inerviewing our audio quality was very poor due to some technical issues. Trint worked great and for the most part got it all right. This is the best and fastest transcription service that weve used.

This is an actual transcription service that works. Its not perfect, but it has greatly cut down on the amount of tedious typing I have to do. Customer service has been great for me. The price seems reasonable.

Do not use this service, when you google Trint reviews you find hundreds of 5 star comments that are obviously fake. I paid £13.40 and sent them very clear audio, with two english people speaking that can be heard and understood perfectly. The transcription I got back was gibberish. It made no sense whatsoever and theyve decided they arent going to refund me because Many of the inaccurate results were at the word level, not at sentence or paragraph level...which makes this transcript much easier to fix by using the Trint editor which isnt true at all, meaning I have to rewrite the whole thing anyway?! Total waste of money, highly recommend hiring a real person via PeoplePerHour often for exactly the same price with great results, plus you get to support freelances across the globe. Trint, your service is terrible.

Very useful tool for transcribers. Can save heaps of time. This time saving is massive when using good audio and few speakers e.g Interview (for me 95% accurate in this environemt). Struggles more in group discussions where distance to mic is larger and speaker change over is higher. What can compensate for this is the simplicity of the desktop app which ultimately serves that one purpose needed of transcribing. Has a few useful additional features e.g highlighting and various formats for exporting. Of course you can go back and edit the transcribed recordings but be sure to do so for full accuracy. Overall it does make the painstaking task of transcribing more bearable for sure!
