I tried the veggie ramen here and what surprised me the most was the very delicious broth! It wasn’t oily like some broths. Nice to see veggie options at ramen restaurants!

Honestly I expected something more from Ippudo. The broth was indeed good but it didnt blow mi mind and I was let down by missing toppings (like menma), which I found curious since I order one of the most expensive ramen. Despite all, I give 4 star also considering the fast and good service. I doubt I will come again.

As usual ippudo is just basic ramen you know. I have never liked ippudo anywhere in the world. I have tried in many countries but you know its just okay all the time nothing special. Nothing beats ichiran in my opinion. Not recommended pretty much the same all over the world. Rubbish service with basic food. I thought its gonna be better? But nah lol.

Ramen is ok, not amazing and left quite a lot to be desired. Stock is ok, but the pork and eggs are nice! But then I am here for the ramen. That’s why I give a 4 star.Food 7/10, service 8/10, ambience 8/10, value for money 7/10. I would say nothing really special.

Very rude staff. We were 4 and getting a table for 5 on Monday night, because 1 friend is joining us later. They made us wait outside and did not let us start before our 5th friend comes in…Then when the friend came and we got a table indoor we were rushed out of our minds to order. When we did the waiter rushed us mid-meal to stop everything and pay immediately. It was only 21:30…Too bad. 1 star for the food though.

If you enjoy the peculiar services of getting pushed around, talked down on in a dry and rude manner, and be told this is all “policy”, come visit this ippudo. We were a group of 4 not let in for about half an hour sat outside in cold because a fifth person had not arrived yet. other parties of 5 had entered before us. we were ready to order for all but the waiter was pretty dry and rude repeating their policy. Once fifth arrived, we had to wait another 15mins. Turns out it was a table for 4, with an extra chair. We sat and had 5 mins to order, not told the kitchen was about to close earlier, rushed us to get food. At payment time waiter came in and made us pay immediately middle of the food, we asked if we could finish first, he insisted it had to be done immediately. Not ok.

Staff and service was great. Food portions however were not - honestly the smallest donburi Ive ever had. I got the spicy karaage donburi, my husband had the katsu. Mine had about 3 actual pieces of chicken, husbands had absolutely no katsu sauce and the bowls were kids size. The age takoyaki tasted great but were clearly made and left sitting there for ages because they werent fresh when they arrived. Nothing tasted bad, just not worth the money.

The food here is absolutely wonderful! The only reason I gave 3 stars is due to the service. When we sat down it took someone almost 20 minutes to come take our order, then no one came to check on us the entire time. We finished our beverages half way through the meal and didnt have anything to drink from then on. Then to finally get the bill, we had to literally stop someone after waiting another 15-20 minutes since the completion of our food. They were not anywhere near as busy as the lack of service made it out to be.

Wonderful experience with excellent customer service. I especially enjoyed the egg which was cooked just right, to the perfect texture. The decor and atmosphere arent brilliant here, its an odd shaped building and its crowded without being cosy, but the ramen is the expected standard. The classic tonkotsu is great. The London specials usually arent as good as the classics on the menu but I was impressed by the veggie ramen on the latest visit, which was very savoury and with good depth of flavour for a soup without meat. They serve decent sencha and houjicha tea in a pot big enough for two people.

Definitely my favourite ramen restaurant in London. The offer variety of starters and they are all delicious. The broth of the ramen is with good depth of flavour. The noodles are fresh and you can choose how you like the texture of the noodle (hard, medium and soft). If you’re a Japanese, you would be happy to find at least one staff there who is fluent in Japanese to help you with ordering. You may need to line up to get a table sometimes but it is totally worth it!

Ippudo is always so so to me, regardless of wherever Ive tried it. So you aint missinf out if you havent tried ramen from here. Shoryu is better. Only came here because Kanada-ya was closed so yea. Also, 2 stars because one of the staff with short blonde hair has attitude problems really. boyfriend ordered the sunmer special dipping ramen with the large portion. So large noodles, but with small portion of the dipping sauce/soup. Clearly not proportionate so my boyfriend almost ran out of the dipping sauce before even touching half of the noodles and he asked for more so he can finish the noodles. Staff said the best they could do is to top up with hot water but the sauce will be diluted. alternatively, bf can order thw whole set again but only for the sauce. So, they are asking him to pay full price of the summer set for the dipping sauce. Poor man wanted more sauce thats all...... Staff are willing to compromise with the quality of their food than to give extra dipping sauce. Even the table next to us was laughing at our demise. Im not very picky but the solution to the boyfriends problem is a no-brainer. Just dont understand.....

I’ve always really liked the Ippudo ramen chain around the world since the noodles are really thin and you can choose how hard it is. I recommend getting “hard” noodles. The cucumber appetizer is nice and refreshing to pair with your ramen. Sometimes the soup gets too salty for me so it’s nice to have something lighter to go with it.If it’s your first time there, i recommend getting the classic pork broth (it’s usually on the first page). It’s what they’re most known for.

Yes it is a chain, but easily one of the best ramen places in London. It is slightly high end in terms of price however its not far off to other places and its absolutely worth it.The karakage fried chicken is tender and crispy, the buns melt in your mouth. Ippodo offers a variety of ramens, which you can choose how well cooked your ramen is from hard to soft. My ramen was cooked to perfection, the broth was creamy and flavoursome and well paired with the right topppings. Really recommend.

Really nice stop on the ramen scene in London. We know its a franchise - But the standard is very high indeed.I got their Tskukemen which was fantastic.Dipping soup was thick creamy and full of flavour. The noodles were firm thick and mopped the broth up well.I also tried their karaage and the gyoza. Both really good side dishes. The chicken had a subtle ginger flavour infused through it and fried to perfection. The gyoza were little bites of crispy heaven.I enjoyed it so much I went back two days later and ate the exact same meal again.Staff were really friendly and helpful - when I asked about a garnish sauce - he explained it was pepper and yuzu and told me about brands I could buy for home use.Really nice place with really well trained informed staff.Loved it

A ramen chain which is known for their good ramen around the world. Firstly, it seemed like staff didnt want to take our order as we sat there trying to get someones attention. This is not like the Japanese... and it wasnt even busy. Finally a waitress came over. To be honest there were too many options for ramen and they all sounded similar, I werent too sure what to choose. After we ordered, it seemed to take longer than usual for our food to arrive. We had to chase it and eventually got told that the kitchen didnt receive our order. They were apologetic and didnt charge us for our starters, but we were there for over an hour before we finally got some food on the table... And because they were rushing to bring our food out, our mains arrived before we finished the starters.Food wise, the dumplings were good and the spicy fire chicken wings were the best wings Ive had to date. They were succulent and the sauce was just spicy enough for me to handle. I probably could have done 20 of these! The pork belly were too fatty and not very nice (baring in mind Im such a fan of pork belly, so it was disappointing). The ramen was ok. I havent been here for a while, but remember them being better.Wheelchair access: The dinning area is on one level and I was told there were accessible toilets, which were downstairs but you could take the service lift to get there. Apologies, but I didnt bother go check after waiting so long for the food so will have to take their word for it.It was good of the staff to not charge us for the starters for their mistake. Overall, the food was ok but a bit more expensive than other ramen chains.

We used to be usual customer before lockdown but this time will be the last. We came around 8pm like we always did and we noticed that something was off straight away. Despite been seated rather quickly and the restaurant being empty we felt completely ignored and once someone finally noticed us and took our order were not asked for any drinks but just served water instead. The starters came before any cutlery and plates and thats when we realised that the restaurant was closing and no one told us when we came in, and now the staff just wanted us gone so quite frustrated we started eating our ramen quickly. Not even 45 minutes seated and someone already brought us the bill (including 12% service charge) with pin pad in hand despite none of us finished their food. Really sad experience from what used to be one of our favourite restaurants.

Finally! Tsukamen in Soho!Recently opened up in the area, and a decent spot for the more adventurous Ramen eater. The menu is a little priciest than most ramen places in London (slightly) but made up for it by being able to add 5 gyoza for £1 at Lunch. Now, the Tsukamen. I’ve been obsessed with making this dish ever since I first saw it (cooled noodles and a hot broth). The noodles were thick and chewy, to help with holding the flavour of the dipping broth. The broth itself was interesting, a combination of traditional pork broth with a citrus element to it. Caught me off guard slightly, but still very tasty!Good place for something different, but Ramen traditionalists May be disappointed.

Really tasty ramen, comes in three levels of spicy-ness (I ordered the spiciest) and different amounts of toppings. Was a bit disappointed with the thickness of the noodles though, a bit too thin for my personal preference but they were very tasty.
