No Service and No communicationIt took Ealing Council 7 months to fix the Greenford weigh bridge! Then their IT system went down and they wouldnt issue Skip Licences for a month. Result...we had to stop work as we couldnt remove garden rubbish/soil from ongoing projects. Landscapers lost money and clients unhappy.

Absolute joke of a service. They dont answer any of the numbers and the automated service is useless .it says leave a message and someone will Get back to you in three working days. Absolute rip offs .my penalty charge has not been discounted in the 14 days period so I have to make a full payment now . called to ask why this is and as time is running out I have no options but to pay the full fee.(no one picks up to ask )there is no zero star option otherwise its a zero .

Pay council tax, need to speak to them? HAHAHAHA! It is nigh* IMPOSSIBLE! Shocking website, shocking automated telephone service, I have never seen/heard of a customer service that is so user unfriendly.*Your best bet is to use the call back service, youll still have to listen to a load of automated messages, but I did get a friendly and helpful chap call be back after about 1 hour, which I must admit, I was not expecting!

Customer service can be touch and go, I normally request a call back and within 30 minutes they get back to you fairly quick and resolve most of my issues there and then.The major flaw is Ealing Council you should consider updating your Council website to be more efficient and make it easy to find information, checking housing benefit section has not been updated for the past month on my part even with 2 recent request by call to you so I am having to check on the figures by phone (bare in mind I opted for online view for statements) and this is frustrating as phone lines are forever engaged or goes in circle pattern back to square one. Please update your phone line systems for simple queries.Applause for making and taking payments from your customers, no applause for a complicated poor online system. If you improve on these then the Ealing community will find your services much more better and customer attitudes. Overall a supportive council that needs to work on been efficient.

We paid 40£ for bulky waste collection and the council never turned up. We tried to call several times while at work and the response I was getting was to call after 2 oclock when the staff is back from their lunch break!! I tried after 2pm several times only to wait more than half and hour and eventually to hung up because I had to return to work. We ended up hiring a zipcar and driving to a tip ( not the one in Ealing because the scale was broken and we could not visit in a van).I never leave bad reviews, this is my first one but honestly what an appalling treatment that is. I see there are many other similar comments and my main argument is: if you cannot deliver the bulk collection service just take it down and do not offer it anymore.

Every time I drive my car in the Borough of Ealing I get a Penalty Charge Notice. The signage put up is deliberately terrible so that as much revenue as possible can be made. They have put in so many ridiculous restrictions. I suppose it encourages people to cycle instead.

The gym in Ravenor Park is out of order with the machines missing parts for at least 8 months..at least...they attempted to fix but gave up it seems and now look at the irony, fences around so you can not use them....use what??? Trying to get hold of someone from the recycling department. Called them yesterday, was waiting for over an hour no reply. Called the following day no reply. Absolutely disgusting about the service. What the hell is the head of Ealing Council doing in order to improve the services. So many people have been complaining and NO outcome. A BIG disappointment.

I pay annually for my parking. I tried to follow their procedure online to change the vehicle details. I was unsuccessful after many times and ended up paying additional costs. I rang customer services many times any each time the staff were unhelpful and rude. Take our money but unwilling to help.

You know a council is seriously corrupt and incompetent when the only systems implemented by them that actually work are the ones that raise revenue. So if you drive in a faded bus lane which is badly signed, there will be a working camera and they will immediately send you a letter in the post demanding money. All very efficient!But mysteriously, when the council actually has to provide a service then suddenly they struggle to implement the systems! So strange that theyre so good at handing out fines and terrible at everything else. This wont change until people stop voting for the same old party every time... Use you votes!

Even allowing for the fact that they are a Local Authority, I received very poor/non-existent service to what should have been a simple straight-forward query. Of course they dont take phone calls, only emails, to which I receive an automatic acknowledgement but appear to be then ignored - 3 times! Have sent (another) email to their complaints. Cant even order the wheelie bins online. Needed to call only to be told there is an issue with the system for one of the bins but they had set a memo and will call me back to place an order. 1 week later and still no call. useless.called again and they have to request a clarification for my address, 10 days later and still no update. I just want to renew my garden waste collection. 2 calls over an hour of waiting to be disconnected. Tried online - it tells me my collection is cancelled & a letter sent, never received it 2 year in a row. So I try to start over like a new customer & guess what, I’m already registered so can’t complete it. What a service, you couldn’t make it up.

Generally, people like to bash the public sector, particularly councils. I know theyre under immense pressure with budget cuts, etc. BUT. Ealing Council is genuinely the worst council Ive lived under. The level of service is terrible. You cannot ever get anyone on the phone to discuss any issues and theyve never called me back (through the call-back service). I genuinely think its criminal the way they take our money and treat us with such disregard.

Not great, tried to call and no answer or put through to various departments. This council is by far one of the poorest at responding and has very unfriendly staff. When I had to visit the council, all staff looked like they didnt want to be there and certainly didnt want to help. At least now Im just on a phone and dont have to see them, although it is still obvious they dont care! Given 2 stars only due, which are really for the few staff that have been okay and tried.

I parked my car for 20 minutes in…I parked my car for 20 minutes in Ruislip road ,on my return I saw a ticket and reason was parking out of parking bay, there was no visible lines on the ground ,most of the lines are faded and it was very heavy rain on the time of parking, so it shows how desperate they are to ripe off our pockets,Even in their photos there was noting to show that my car is out of any line( which obviously there were not any) and they declined my request, as they are sure many people will give up fight and they can get the un fair money.

I booked online a bulk collection, and of course I had to prepaid the £40 fees. The collection never happened for many weeks. After several phone calls and a few hours holding the line, I was told that the items to be collected were not part of the bulk collection T&Cs! Of course this was not communicated when booking the collection, and the money cannot be refund. Poor communication, poor customer care, poor availability. I ended up to waste a Sunday morning queuing at the Greenford Recycling Centre, and get charged another £25 by the centre plus £30 of Zip Car rental for a van... Complete frustration and disappointment,

I live in an apartment and I am allowed to leave the rubbish out just one day a week they dont provide bins to flats so if I have to travel or my rubbish smells I have to keep it in my house otherwise I get a fine, I have sent several emails to the council but as usual they didnt bother to reply. Greeenford Road Recycling CentreI visited The Greenford Road Recycling Centre this morning 30.05.2020.There was very poor highway queueing traffic system using untrained staff causing severe and dangerous traffic congestion on Greenford Broadway caused by poor positioning of signs. The long stationary / slow queue takes almost 3 hours from the Broadway to the drop off point.The staff are totally unaware of the current social distancing as a member of the team placed his head into my car window which was open.When I complained I was told I was a Racist !!I can also see a potential environmental pollution issue with the vehicles with their engines running outside the Cardinal Wiseman School on Monday.There are no signs saying When stationary SWITCH ENGINES OFF. The Amey team inside the site are always helpful and professional and are able to deal with the public correctly.A strategic meeting is urgently required at Ealing Town Hall for the provision of adequate training for the staff who are managing the traffic queue. The Ealing Council Highways Department should be involved too.1. COVID-19 Social Awareness Training (Distance 2m)2. Traffic Marshal Training.3. How to engage with the public (prior to being let loose on the public with a hi viz jacket)The Ealing Council website clearly states that the Recycling Centre closes at 4pm, but the men stop any vehicles entering the site at 3.30.The whole system on the Greenford Road which is poorly organised by the London Borough of Ealing Council, flies in the face poor management and puts lives at risk.Why do we recycle?Wake up Ealing Council

Paid for a bulky item collection - waited for 3 weeks for collection (lead time). On the day, no-one turned up to pick up on the slot I had booked. 6 phone calls later, over 10 emails and a complaint and the item still hasnt been collected after multiple failed promises. Street Services Complaints department are ineffective. And the call waiting times to speak to someone are over 2 hours!!! No wonder people fly tip!

Youve created a system where its basically impossible to pay council tax properly but then blame the customers (who you are meant to serve) as if were some kind of criminals. Ealing council was supposed to send us a letter at the beginning of the year detailing how much council tax we were supposed to pay. Months later they still haven’t sent it and instead send a letter every month telling us we are late and must pay immediately. Despite numerous calls to them they still haven’t sent us our letter. The worst council to ever exist they keep you on hold for an hour only to refer you to another team and then hang up the phone, they told me to contact an email which I later found out the inbox was longer being checked. how ridiculous should they not state that the inbox is not being checked instead of referring me to it and playing a waiting game for weeks only for me to have to call and find out im being ignored ???? They are by far the most frustrating to speak to as all colleagues are incompetent and shut the phone in your face without ever resolving a single issue. Zero accountability from the top to the bottom. Official complaints to the planning and refuse collection department are just ignored. There is nobody at the end of a telephone. If you do call often the departments phone system just takes you round in a loop. God help you if you actually have to visit the council offices. Staff literally unable to deal with any of the above and first efforts are to shunt you back into the telephone systems that do not work. Labour government currently resembling the Stasi with residents having woken up one morning to find a barrier across their roads with no consultation. Huge amounts of money being spent on making the road systems impossible to navigate. Council actively selling off any assets the borough has to developers. Leader of the Labour council publishing expenses showing travel to trade shows being paid for by these developers. Go figure.

Worst place I ever worked during my 24 years in London. No duty of care for its female employees safety. Unlike other London boroughs as a female shift worker and the office having a car park right outside with plenty of availability I wasnt permitted to park in an empty car park space on my many shifts during the nights at Perceval House, Ealing, unless I moved the car prior 8am which meant popping out early hours to park 5 mins away on quiet dark residential street or risk getting a parking ticket (issued by Ealing coouncil). On one occasion while moving my car in the dark at 0500 I was flashed at and followed by an unknown male. It was frightening. I sent an email to directorate to explain my concerns and fears, I was completely ignored .There was gender inequality in my dept as a women I was treated differently. They ought to be ashamed of themselves and start taking their staffs safety more seriously. It reminded me of the old boys network, working for them!

I have lived in 3 councils in London and 5 outside of London and never experienced the lack of communication and customer service of Ealing Council. Firstly, there are no email addresses to send to, all their emails addresses are no reply. Secondly, the phones are unanswered or you hold for up to an hour and then may get cut off. Complaints are ignored and call backs are not made. Clearly more staff are needed and training in Customer Service should be mandatory. Doing everything online via their website is great if you are computer savvy, but not everyone is.

Sent today to Ealing Parking,In the absence of any response from your office in my efforts to pay for my parking permit EAX0675430 I am now going to deliver a cheque for £80 to the Ealing Council offices. I was on hold for 50 mins yesterday to chase a council tax matter that was already raised online however there is no record of this on the system. To get something achieved with the council feels like you need to set aside 2-3 hours of time and then allow for a 6 month period for it to be actioned. Very frustrating.LTN is also sabotaging our Ealing community, I fear the most hard hit from it will be the elderly and disabled. It should be withdrawn.

I have been asking for a little support as food inspection because I need a food rating in order to trade and their answer is constantly : Covid-19 is our priority, cant help you. Disgusting treatment at the hands of Ealing Council. Refuse to confirm parking permit despite having taken payment three months ago. Refuse to allow access to visitor parking until permit confirmed. With Ealing Council, it appears that the customer is always wrong.They did not collect oversized rubbish which I had booked for collection. They failed to respond to two emailed complaints within response times based on their own policy, when I tried to follow this up. They did not take the initiative to contact or update us proactively in any form, at any time. The rubbish remained uncollected for 40 days. When I telephoned, it took 30 minutes to reach a member of their refuse team, who told me that contractors had attended the property on four occasions, could not find the items and would NOT be sent again. This was all patently untrue as we had been socially isolating and at home throughout the period concerned, had provided clear info on the nature and location of the rubbish at the time of booking, and had neither seen nor heard nor been contacted by said contractors. I was then advised to complain (so back to square one) and had the phone put down on me. So, if you are a taxpaying customer of Ealing Council, in a similar situation, the moral of the story is:- they will not communicate with you- they will not trust your side of the story- they will keep your money with impunity- you will have great difficulty reaching them- when / if you finally do reach them, you cannot expect to hear a credible justification for their own lack of communication and action.I have witnessed better, prompter administration at third world border crossings. Shame on you, Ealing Council!

Queuing system on their phone lines is absolutely awful. Pretty much everywhere else has a countdown to let you know where you are in the queue. But not Ealing Council. Oh no, they just let you wait indefinitely. Wouldnt be so bad but considering waiting times are in the hours, rather than minutes, Id say it was crucial to let people know how long theyre likely to be waiting. And considering their website always directs you to telephone them for lots of issues, what other choice do we have?? Infuriating.

To be honest not so helpful. I remember very unhappy customer service on a few occasions. It may just need revamping? CivilEnforcement officers just love slapping penalty charges without a proper assessment of contraventions. What makes it worse is they argue. If you provide a service please dont argue with customers/residents.

I visited the council building to renew my residents parking permit. I took my documents as require to hand over in person (Council’s requirement). On my arrival the security officer informed that all staff are working out of the office and he gave me a customers service contact number. I have been trying that number and was given another number and another and so on. AllAugust gone my permit still not issued. It was due to renew on first week of August. Whole experience is extremely disappointment. Can any one tell me how I can approch the Parking permit office?

Appalling organisation. Not fit for public service. One of many issues is paying for an environmental waste service - money taken immediately and received paperwork in a few days. 3 months later I am still waiting to be able to use service after making five calls to inform and complain. Staff answering only able to record and send information to the back office. No accountability. Council tax from the public is being used to provide some very poor outcomes.

I havent been able to get my call through in 3 weeks - calling 5-8 time on any given day only to get dropped, not even being allowed to wait in a queue. The website doesnt have the answers that I need and I need to get my issue resolved before the end of the month. Its a frightening position to be put in by a public service, and this is not the first time, but a continual issue Ive run into with Ealing Council. It is embarrassing on their part.This is not a complaint against any of the staff, but a severe disappointment in a poorly thought through system. The council could generate so much pride from its residents if it were more efficient and able to meet the demands of peoples everyday concerns. Instead it is creating antagonism and needlessly destroying trust.

Ealing council have just changed there online account system and have made it incredibly difficult to get your account set up again and the website keeps bringing up error codes and not user friendly, this really should have been set up for the user and simply provided new log in details.Ealing council should really look at how Harrow council have set up their website, previously lived here and found the website very user friendly and any request were dealt in a very timely manner.Come on Ealing council I think you can do much better than this considering how much tax you take off everyone of us!!

I got a PCN and I challenged it. They sent me a letter that we got your challenge but they didnt say weather its your appeal is successful or rejected. After one month they sent me a letter that you didnt challenge or pay within 28 days and sent me a bill to £195 or taken to Court. I sent again 2 emails, recorded letter but no responsed. Very very poor service.

What a disgrace to have such an appalling council. Complaints dont get replied to for weeks, and when they do, they just apologise for the inconvenience but they do nothing about the issues. They do not tend to their duties (missed collections, rubbish all over the parks, fox problems), you have to wait hours on the phone to speak to someone, they ask you to fill in a form online (for something thats happening right there an then like the road being blocked by construction that wasnt advised to the residents and we therefore cant get out of the road!!!!) and wait for a reply. Just so so sad and quite upseting, since the council tax is SO high and theres such a horrible service.

WORST RUN COUNCIL IN LONDONI deal with various councils in London but Ealing is the dregs, and that is doing a diservice to dregs. The online systems rarely work, when they do work they take 10 times as long to achieve what it is your using it for when compared to a simple email or phone call before. If you do have to call them, forget it - you will be on hold for eternity, even if its to discuss an incorrect bill that they are threatening to call the debt collectors in.Utter shambles, not even Kim Jong-Un would employ these leaders !

I have recently moved to Acton and applied for a parking permit online 10 days before my moving date, and I emailed them my documents through the email theyve provided on the website on three different occasions on august 14th, 26th, 27th 2020, but they have not replied and I even used the call back service, no one called back.On September 05th 2020, I have been issued a PCN (Ticket) and I emailed them about the ticket, they replied me straight away on the next day and I quote:I have updated your account and you will now see the option to apply for your permit via your on-line account.It seems like they ignored my emails deliberately for me to be penalised before they reply.Then I made the purchase and sent the reference number to the parkingrep, and asked them about the Penalty charge (Ticket), they refused to cancel it.This is our local council 100% SCAMMING us on a very high scale.they dont even deserve 0 star.Minus zero doesnt exist but, thats what they are those making the decisions.

Awful service and clearly no relationship with its local residents. Had a parking permit but changed license plate in January. Updated the cars details on the system the next evening only to find a ticket on the car. On appeal, I tried explaining the situation but no discretion or common sense was used and the fine remained. Such a shame - lovely area, friendly locals but appalling council.
