This may be the best dal I ever tasted. The flavours were so big and fresh.We had a really warm welcome and the meal was not expensive at all.Please check this place out, its well worth it.

I got a delivery from here this week and the meal was EXCELLENT. The food is really fresh and well cooked and tasted delicious. I 100% recommend this place especially since its difficult to find great curry in the area.

I came here last night with some friends and i cannot explain how amazing the hospitality was! All staff members were so friendly!! The owner himself was so sweet and accommodating and had a nice chat with us as well! The food was exceptional!! I got the Devil Chicken and it was the best! The coconut roti and chicken curry were beautiful!! Will definitely come back here again very very soon! Thank you so much for a lovely evening! Ordered an Uber Eats pick-up. I came 25 minutes after Eats indicated my order was ready and was made to wait for 15+ min. I politely requested the server for my pick-up and was ignored while they served their white guests. After patiently waiting for a while when I respectfully asked again I was asked if I was a driver. Basically a condescending and racist overture. Nope, Im not a driver and I can bet I make significantly more $ than every person who was present in that restaurant. Never treat a person based on their skin color. Thank you and no thank you.

Tasty food at reasonable prices

Very easy to find. The owner served us and was very friendly. The food was yummy. Highly recommend the egg hopper. Egg dishes are never my first choice, but this was really good.

Stumbled in here randomly and wasn’t sure what to expect. The service was very friendly and happy to guide us through the menu. The food was outstanding.

I attended a colleagues leaving do last saturday and was rather disappointed. Not enough waitors who were clueless about the menu. Only ended eating a starter and waited 1 and half hours for main course for which never came to me. Had to leave without eating. Very disappointed and will never visit again.Edit. Just want to say thankyou for taking my earlier 1 star review seriously. I was offered a free meal and it was amazing. It is good to see that customers reviews are taken seriously. Well done.

Dammikas is a well kept Sri Lankan restaurant with a small menu, typical main course around £16.The food was well prepared, well presented and very tasty.The lamb curry with rice was tender and rice served with banana leaf rice and vegetables which were very delicate.The seafood kottu roti was served with a flavour rich accompanied sauce.Service was attentive and professionally delivered.It seemed a number of items were not available on the day, which was a bit disappointing and hence 4 stars.Otherwise I would heartily recommend the restaurant.

Small Sri Lankan restaurant serving a medium selection of curries, hoppers and sides.The place itself looks dated and not welcoming from the outside.The service was poor, we had a mixture of a very enthusiastic waiter at the beginning who tended to overstay while we were choosing food and then being completely ignored for when we had finished.The food itself was tasty and the meal deal certainly came with a good portion and selection of flavours but would need a little more spice for my liking in most of the dishes.I would rate slightly higher as I did enjoy it overall but these aspects really let the restaurant down and I wouldnt return.

We went to Dammikas early June. We had their delicious fish cutlets which were very substantial in size and just like its made in Sri Lanka. The main course was string hoppers, hodhi (light gravy) and chicken curry, red split letils, mutton curry and seeni sambol (onion chutney). The chicken curry was especially delicious. All the food was freshly made and authentic Sri Lankan food. Fabulous!

Had a Sunday Lunchtime Buffet which includes a good selection of food such as rice, string hoppers, parotta, a selection of 5 vegetarian dishes, pork curry, chicken curry, lamb curry and fish curry.. for dessert the selection of wattalappam and ice cream was given. They also asked for plain hoppers or egg hoppers on demand. Egg in egg hoppers was too runny and could have been cooked a little more. Taste was really nice and service was really good. Will definitely come here again. Website needs to be updated to inform people that there is a buffet on at lunch. Washrooms are small and place is small. For a large booking place wouldnt be suitable. Ambience is fine but dont get a wow factor or a place to give you a Srilankan feel. Hence my review of 4/5. Would definitely think its a place to try for the taste of srilankan food.

Lovely place for some quick Srilankan food. I went there on a Sunday, which means it was the buffet day!! Unfortunately, there was not a lot of selection in the buffet, the hoppers were good but not great. The China and the cutlery could use a bit of love as there were stains on them.The Lion draft beer was mid flat and felt like it had been there for awhile.The owner was very friendly.Not great in terms of value for money but its good if you are in the location and want a quick srilankan fix.

The food here is truly amazing and take it from me I am hard to impress. Really delicious.

When you go to a restaurant, you look for 2 things.. food and service. This is one of the restaurants both are awesome. Especially, mutton curry is loved by my entire family. Keep up the good job guys.

Delicious food

Overall a nice restaurant, the food was lovely and had a nice atmosphere. However one problem i noticed was one of your waiters whom i dont know the name of but looked Ethiopian and was female with brownish hair, didnt seem to wash her hands after using the toilet and also smelt funny. I can see i am not the one to complain about her as i read the reviews. Please take care of this issue.

Simply wonderful. Dammikas provides a real taste of Sri Lanka with a fantastic menu filled with too many delicious options to try them all! This was the first time my wife and I had felt we were eating Sri Lankan food since our holiday there nearly a decade ago. Superb, friendly staff with the most incredible location. This restaurant must be on the list for anyone interested in Asian food. We will be back soon!

Really good food, take-away was nice and hot and arrived 10 minutes earlier. The Mutton curry and Chicken Varuval was splendid.

The best place to enjoy some good lip smacking Sri Lankan and South Indian food. The preparation is really very good. The restaurant is located very close to Buckingham palace hence the ambience also is really hip. The only reason I reviewed it as 4 stars and not 5 is because of the extremely slow service. We received our food around 50 minutes after we ordered which is not a good thing especially if you are on the go. Otherwise i am really impressed with the restaurant overall.

I went to this restaurant on Monday evening, the food, staff and service were all amazing 10/10 very friendly, brilliant variety and taste of the food, with a good atmosphere, very reasonably priced food and drinks, will definitely be going back again soon, just a 5 mins walk from Victoria Station a little hidden gem. Special mention to Manoj it was a pleasure to have you serving us.

Food was nice and reasonably authentic. Menu is quite limited and quite expensive (even though the portion is large). I had one curry, one side and bill came to £20. The area of improvement is slow service. The staff are nice, but the speed of service could improve.

Great service and delicious food. We visited on a thursday evening and had to wait for a few minutes for a table, but once sat down the staff was very friendly and polite, but without bring overbearing.They accomodated any requested the table had and even gave us some yogurt for those in the table that were struggling with some of the spicier dishes. They also brought us some complimentary yogurt with SriLankan honey, which was delicious.Food is really tasty and portions are enough for one person (curry + rice). Will definitely be coming back!

Today we had the most delicious authentic Sri Lankan crab curry! Best Ive ever tasted and Ive eaten so many crab curries ( its off menu so call ahead!) Friendly and warm atmosphere, we really enjoyed it so much..if youre a Lankan and need to get a bit of your ammahs cooking ...you know, our soul food, this is the place in London. Hoppers, string hoppers, kothu, okra. Its all really good! You wont be disappointed 😊

What a great restaurant - this certainly captures the true essence of native Ceylon cuisine from the heart of Westminster. The Egg Hoppers are not to be missed. Dammika personally welcomed us with a Five Star service - what more could you ask for. Well worth a visit.

Dammikas is an authenticity of Srilankan and South Indian food, we really enjoyed Dammikas fresh devil prawns, mutton varuval, cheese curry with fresh bread and Chetinad special chicken Curry.We also loved their stream hoppers with delicious Suthi’s.I strongly recommend anyone who wants to eat their home food, definitely Dammikas is the best in heart of the Victoria- near by Buckingham palace in London

Microwave special.Menus took 30 minutes to arrive. 15 minutes after ordering we were told three of the four main meals werent available. When food did start turning up it was stone cold, a quick trip to the microwave seemed to sort that out. Im still waiting for my papadoms though...

Ive been to this place last week and the Pol Sambol, kirihodi and Seeni Sambol was Authentic and tasted very nice. The price is average for a restaurant near buckingham palace, would recommend them to my colonial Srilankan friends

It was like being in Sri Lanka! .. Long waiting time for food, it felt like they had only 2 menus to share with all in the restaurant, but the manager and staff were lovely.. Food was OK. They had just changed owners so maybe it may get better? Was not that expensive.. So if you have patience then not too bad..

A group of doctors of Sri Lankan origin chose this restaurant for a mini reunion in London. We wanted genuine Sri Lankan cuisine at s reasonable price in central London. Dammika the owner was most helpful and agreed to provide us a a Sri Lankan buffet at a flat rate per head. This included a range of curries, string hoppers, hoppers . On the day it exceeded our expectations The food was first clasnd the service brilliant. We shall come again and unhesitatingly recommend it

Excellent food, I am Indian, and vegetarian, so I dont know how authentic it was. But based on my visits to restaurants in Sri Lanka, Id say it compared quite well. There were several veg options, and wed definitely go back to try the others. Service was excellent, despite some of the reviews here. Reasonably prompt despite the restaurant getting quite full as we ate. The management was eager to please and to interact with us and the other customers. Nice chatting with the owner on a variety of topics. Overall, a wonderful experience. Thank you!

One of your worker is an ablouste disgrace the female called tigist she is so talkative and arrogant and has no respect and i saw her use the toilet but didnt wash her hands please FIX this. But the food was lovely.

At my last day in London I had the best rice and curry over here.. with my favorite on the side.. pol Sambol.. I scooped out the plate till the last bit. I wanna be honest that the food is average and the service is rubbish. I have never seen a restaurant that the waiter says the chef is about to go home around 9:00pm when we wanted Order some food . Please don’t get caught by thinking this is the authenticity of Labkan’s food .. if you believe so then you have never experienced proper Ceylon food .

Delicious food from Sri Lanka at this well located restaurant 5 minutes from Victoria Station looking out on to the garden wall of Buckingham Palace . We can recommend Queen Elizabeth 2 to come if she is in need of decent local curry .I recommend all the menu . For lunch today I had string hoppers , 2 helping of tuna fish curry , seeni sambol , and Dahl curry .I am looking forward to returning with my mother from Kandy Sri Lanka when she is next in London

Finally a restaurant of authenticity :-) to be greeted by Dammika the owner, who is such a hospitalitable host. Very quick to seat us and very patient staff even with our large group. The drinks are all very reasonably priced and the food just keeps on coming. (The mutton rolls are amazing and we all want to know how the devilled prawns are devilled!). You can tell that he is crafting a lovely place and we cant wait to go back when the function room is ready downstairs.

Worst food ever.. charged us for things we didnt get. Ordered a pork curry that never came ... portion size and taste was horrible... but didnt want make a fuzz because we had company. Was embarrassed that we took our friend there.. will never go there again.. definitely they will have to close the place soon if this is the service they provide in London

Food itself is great and priced decent. But the day we went most of first choise items from menu not available. The ambience also petty drab and toilet was pretty bad. But again food is pretty good and proper Sri Lankan taste.
