Delicious food , great coffee , lovely owners and amazing decoration ! I would highly recommend to visit this charming little restaurant

My partner and I had the great fortune of fine dining at Elis Restaurant yesterday evening. This beautiful restaurant was actually recommended to us by another customer (who was enjoying the outside facilities and drinks). The experience at Elis restaurant was DELIGHTFUL! We honestly and whole-heartedly recommend you visit and enjoy the wonderful hospitality, food and drinks! The wonderful Nidaa made us feel so welcome and catered to us with the highest level of professionalism, warmth and approachability, which really added the sparkle to our entire day (not just evening). We totally enjoyed the food (including dessert), the wine, the decor, the owners (and all staff). The experience just kept getting better and you can tell the team know how to give you the BEST restaurant experience you could ever ask for without needing to ask for it! Elis Restaurant deserves more than 5 stars. We will definitely be going to Elis again.

POSSIBLY THE BEST COUS COUS IN LONDON.It was a pleasant surprise and it exceeded our expectations. Really everything in the menu is very tasty and it shows that it has been cooked with care, love and everything is homemade.The restaurant is beautiful both inside and its outside terrace, located on a pedestrian street, which is much appreciated. The mezzes and starters are really good, tasty and very well presented, but the cous cous is a real delight.Both the owners and the service are really friendly, professional and efficient. We really enjoyed the visit and the explanation of the dishes.Without a doubt, this hidden gem is now one of our favorite restaurants in London.

Dined here today and had amazing food (their rotisserie chicken was melt in the mouth quality) and the green beans were perfectly cooked. The service was pretty special too and the owner Nidaa was super friendly. Thanks guys, I shall be returning soon.

I was drawn to this place tonight after visiting the V&A museum not too far away. The weather was nice so most people were sitting outside. I sat at one of the tables inside and ordered. The food tasted really good. The chicken burger had things in it that I wasn’t expecting and it all tasted great together. And as I sat there enjoying my meal, I could tell that the man and woman working there must own the place. They were always quick to get things to the tables and still had time to stop and have a pleasant conversion with regulars as well as new customers. They made me feel like definitely coming back to eat again. They are known for their chicken. Give them a try and enjoy your meal.

If you are after a quiet dining environment and enjoying the best quality food in town, this is a great restaurant. The service is extremely kind and the food outstanding. Our group had a great exclusive party with buffet. We did enjoy very much, owners are extremely accommodative and kind! Food was fresh, tasty and well seasoned! I highly recommend this place!

I took my wife and sister in law to Elis for lunch, I ordered wings as part of a three dish set price.The wings were under cooked and bloody (see photo). I notified the owner/waiter who asked me what I would like to do, I informed him that I did not want another plate of wings or anything else as I was put off. He did remove the wings at a cost £2 when the wings cost £5.5 individually.The owner/waiter did not apologise at any point.I will not be going back to Elis for a potential dose of food positioning.

Simply delicious. Had an Eli’s Royal which left me in a digestive awe. Sympathetic waiter and a cozy ambience. High-end casual for those who like to gently dine in style. North-African and French fusion.

I don’t understand why people are raving about this restaurant. The service is very dry, it is very obvious that the staff members change their attitude depending on the customers.Update: their reply shows their true colours. So now I am going to explain what happened.1) I asked for the available table outside but I was rejected because I was on my own. The table was for two people.2) I accepted to sit inside, which was quite empty then, there was only one other group.3) I was going to have lunch there with some alcohol drink, but since I was told to sit inside, I knew I wouldn’t stay there for long simply because I am not vaccinated. So, instead of having lunch, I decided to have a drink.4) yes I ordered hot chocolate, but then what did you say to me? You pulled out disgusted face and said ‘…that’s it?’ which I found rude.5) yes I used my laptop because I work over the weekend too which is none of your business, and I didn’t stay there long. So what’s the issue with me working on my laptop for 40-45 minutes, or reading my book instead? What difference does it make to you?6) I left before the restaurant got busy -if it ever got busy. There were only two other groups inside of the restaurant when I left. So I don’t think me drinking hot chocolate for 40 minutes didn’t make you lose money.And your rudeness started the minute I entered the restaurant. It wasn’t because I was ‘using your place as an office’ it was because you thought I wouldn’t make money for you, or due to my race? I don’t know.Either way, I was going to come back with a friend of mine next time so that I wouldn’t receive a bad service, but now I saw your reply, it confirmed how rude you are so I wouldn’t go. The best place in London for chicken. Its always brilliant and what a great location. The owners are always there and are very friendly. Either inside or outside is good and Bute street has a great buzz. We have been numerous times and it never disappoints.

My friend and I happened upon this cute little place in South Ken. I was not at all expecting it to taste as yummy as it did! Some places Ive been in spend more time on decor than they do food, but this place really covered all corners. The interior is beautiful, the food was delicious and the price is amazing - especially considering the area. We spoke with the owners too who were so polite and welcoming. Would definitely come again! 👌

I know that the place employed people without contracts and I dont think its ok. The tips werent shared.. not a good place to work in or support by eating in.

Come here for the best tasting chicken escalope! I joined my friends for the BookforSix exclusive £33 menu and we got an amazing 6-course dinner! So much food and so filling. The chicken was so tasty, falafels are my favourite and tiramisu is to die for. Music was awesome as always, service was amazing, staff was attentive. Top service and 5 stars. Definitely will be back for more!

Eli’s is such a pleasant, beautiful, and welcoming spot away from the noisiness of the street. We had drinks and snacks. Good wine/beer selection and a great aperol spritz. We’ll be back to see the Eli’s family!

Eaten here twice, couscous was delicious and chicken rotisserie also very good. Bute street is now pedestrianised and they have the nicest outdoor setup.

Elis offers traditional roasted chicken and other dishes, mainly chicken related. The chicken marinated for 24h, which brings the flavour to the right point. Staff is very friendly and efficient. Service can get a bit slow on peak hour. Should you crave for roast chicken in London, Elis is the place!!!!

Very rude staff. Food was delayed for two hours, our orders were still not ready together after two hours of waiting. Same order portions were not consistent. Above all this staff were super rude non- apologetic at all. The guy there literally walked away from my friend who was saying she was not happy and another lady told us can’t you see we are busy !!! Please don’t accept this ill behaviour by going to this place.

I visit this place couple of months ago with friend and our overall experience was all right, so based on that I wrote satisfactory review with high rating. Then i came back alone only with my little baby boy a bit after our first visit, cos I did liked this place, however the service and behaviour from waitress I received, was very dissapointing and not on place, but I didnt understand why. But now few days ago, something very bad happened and Im willing to share my experience because no customer should be treated this way! Now I understand why I was mistreated as a customer during my second visit. We had great evening in other place just next to Elis, however when they shut, me and 2 more friends came over and wanted to buy drinks to go. If this couple are owners, seriously with this attitude and disrespectful behaviour, they just shouldnt be working over there, but thats their own shame I guess. She disrespectfully accused me of writing 1 star review, as she confused me with somebody else and she said I should be banned, I shouldnt get served. This is higher level of disrespect, to say something like this to any customer, even if the customer wrote low rated review in the passt. First at all, realise why u have bad reviews and do improvements and do not behave randomly with paying customers like rubbish. Who u actually think u are to bully and victimise people like this?!!!! One single shot of whiskey 11£, with mixer 2.50£, plus service charge, even through the fact that there was not any service provided, as we wasnt seated. U should be thankful for any customer which is willing to pay your ridiculous prices for more ridiculous service!!!!!! I almost womit when Ive heard that, this was just unbelievably rude, the amount of disrespect i got withing 1 minute, was just remarkable. I never ever experienced something like this. Just being looking on her grumpy face made me feel sick, so I just left. Friends got the drinks and they left as well, thinking what was all this about. Even they said they wouldnt go back. So just to let the owners know, sweethearts, any customer which gives u low rating, got reason for it and they are not probably willing to come back and waste their money on your disgusting attitude anyway, so I dont think there is any need to behave like this. Think about yourself first. Your business spirit is somewhere extremely low. Instead of trying to change the mind of unhappy customer, make things better, u randomly insulted person and ,,banned them? I am not homeless, i am not poor person, I am not a trouble maker, I am not person with behaviour issues, I am not criminal and most importantly, I got accused of something what i actually havent done. How poor u are. But thats not over. After me publishing this review, this couple saw my friend smoking so they decided to talk to her about my review, and I got accused now for ALL their bad reviews, as apparently there was bad review on them from TripAdvisor. I even dont have TripAdvisor, I never used it, but all right, lets blame somebody else for their own failures. I see it as the owners must to have some sort of mental issues for sure, as this is not normal. So here we go, read my review. I wasnt personally willing to come back to this place after my second experience anyway, so all this i see just as unnecessary. Have a lovely day.

I and my girlfriend came across this newly opened restaurant in South Kensington. The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, I had the Couscous Royal, it was full of flavours super fresh high quality ingredients. The service was awesome. Will will definitely be back!

Lovely menu, the owners are charming.Bute Street has been pedestrianised, so great for al-fresco dining.Food is fresh and tasty, arab / leventan influenced. Roast chicken and Salad is a winner (chicken dinner 😀).

The place and food were superb! The atmosphere was very brilliant and refreshing! The crews are very dependable and very gentle to their customers! I enjoyed my stay in this restaurant and you should try too!

Nice service, brilliant food

Went here for a friend’s bday party. My friends had arrived earlier and ordered at 7pm. We waited until 9pm for the mains and when we enquired about how much longer it would take the waitress rudely replied “cant you see im the only one here, and we are busy”. They kept asking what we have ordered and how many as clearly they had not kept track. The chef came out and apologised but the waitress was far too rude for us to stay and enjoy our meal. When I told the waitress that her attitude had put us off our food she replied “up to you”, shrugged her shoulder and walked off. Quite hilarious how bad the service was, felt like we were in a comedy sketch. Can’t say much about the mains but starters were nothing special, out-of-the-can homous and vine leaves.

Lovely food, all fresh and tasty.. Laid back but efficient service, great ambience. I would like to especially mention the cleanliness of the place. I dont think I have ever seen such immaculately shiny cutlery in the whole of London 😊. I would definitely recommend!

Last Saturday, we had this wonderful place booked exclusively for our InterNations event. The finger food buffet was very good and the bar staff were so nice and so much fun that it was like they were two of the guests. This created the right setting for an unforgettable party. Highly recommend!!

We came here by chance. There is nothing better than finding great cuisine by chance. The chicken is some of the tastiest I’ve had in London. I even ate the skin. The owners run the restaurant, the vibe is welcoming and relaxed. In a city like london it’s such a treat to find such a gem where the food is well priced and delicious. Thank you for having us.

Very lovely place, all the staff was very welcoming. I had the the six course BookForSix menu (£33! What a treat!) and the food was great, really loved the stuffed vine leaves! In summary a very charming place!

This is a very nice place! We enjoyed our shared hot platter a lot, grilled halloumi is top. The staff is very attentive, the chef comes to talk to you and discuss your order. Will get back again

The Iraqi owners are charming but dont have a problem with selling you not quite fresh food. They say everything is home-cooked. A big lie. There is a big staff rotation because the owner doesnt want to sign a contract. They promise staff tips but 12.5% service charge you pay is not shared between staff. It goes to owners pocket...

Just waited 30 minutes to get a drink. I really wanted to enjoy the experience, but left feeling disappointed.

Excellent & fine dining experience with all aspects by a family run unique restaurant, me & my wife have enjoyed the quality of the food; the rotisserie grill Chicken & the Fareekah Salad were a MUST TRY. We will definitely come back again!

We stopped by this restaurant for lunch and I had the best burger Ive had in a very long time. The chicken was warm and fresh, as were the rest of the ingredients. The food is placed at very respectable prices and the staff were friendly. A very promising new restaurant - best wishes in your venture!

We were visiting London and came across this lovely restaurant. The ambiance is warm and friendly, and the food authentic and delicious! The rotisserie chicken is the best we ever had! Moist and very flavorful. For a home-cooked meal in a warm, attentive environment, come to Eli’s!

Best chicken in London!

The best chicken rotisserie in London ! It is 4 min walk from South Kensington station and Natural History Museum . The food is freshly made , delicious and not overpriced. I really like the organic wine selection. The restaurant also provide their food delivery service. I would highly recommend Eli’s Restaurant 👌🏽

Came here for lunch before a show at the RAH. We had the rotisserie chicken and freekah salad. Best chicken we have ever had and sons even fought over the salad.The decor inside is also lovely so an amazing place to go for dinner.Really enjoyed the coffee too.

My girlfriend (who is North African) and I visited this place today for dinner. It was amazing and the staff were really friendly. The food was very authentic and the service was incredible. Well definitely be coming by again soon. This place has been here for 7 weeks and deserves alot more exposure.

I really wish people would appreciate small restaurants like this. We had such a lovely meal. The food is fabulous and absolutely fresh as it comes. The owner takes pride and care in how it is prepared and no corner is spared on the ingredients.Cant speak highly enough about how cosy and tastefully decorated this place is. You can see that money has been spent here.Truly well run and a refreshing experience from the rest of London! Fantastic aperol spritzs here as well!

I had high hopes for this place and was disappointed and then some..Ill explain (if you care to read).. when two people manage a restaurant of roughly 35 covers, they have to be on the ball on a Saturday night in Londons Kensington. Theres a bar so you need to do drinks and coffees as well as food. Orders need to be correct and the service efficient.If you have a waitress who struggles with English a little then its not ideal, but ok if experienced. The waitress was not however experienced and it showed. Meanwhile the owner/manager spent most of his time talking to friends on the table in front, whilst the newbie waitress tried her best. The girl got our water order wrong, not a tragedy I know, but then couldnt remember which wine was which for girls on the table next to us. Then whilst the manager chap was socialising she took our food order and I asked if we got sides with these mains. One did for sure, but mine the rotisserie chicken was unclear. She said it did and I ordered a side of green beans.The meal itself was fine although the salad we ordered to share wasnt that great and lacked any real dressing. Also apple in a salad can be nice if cut finely and not sliced in large slivers and popped on top.The locale is decorated nicely although, the George Michael ballads playing slightly too loud didnt do it for me.When we came to pay I was charged for the green beans and the manager spoke to me as I explained his colleague had told me it was included. I said that I shouldnt really have to pay for the girls error, but that I wasnt too fussed. I really wanted to see how he reacted. The answer.. angrily! He begrudgingly discounted the side dish and was in an obvious strop. I could have complained about many small things (no ice or lemon in my tonic, small still water instead of a large sparkling. No dressing on the salad. Not removing the main course dishes once we finished for about 20 minutes. But these things were let go. I just wondered if the beans would be on the bill. I knew the girl had told me in an uncertain manner.Bottom line, I didnt really rate the place and had better meals on our brief trip to London, but the boss took the prize for arrogance and rudeness. If in my establishment a team member makes a mistake then we dont quibble over a fiver. Its not like I was demanding he refund me the whole meal.Most people would probably enjoy their meal, but if you want top service AND delicious food then go elsewhere. Not one star but definitely not 5 on this night.The waitress tried hard, smiled a lot and nothing was really her fault. The most experienced staff should always take orders and the least experienced are better as food and drink runners. Basic stuff.
