Having been set up by two master sommeliers I was expecting a restaurant with alright food but decent wine. I was wrong! The food at Cabotte is as outstanding as the wine - and the attentive friendly staff make navigating a huge wine list easy and enjoyable. Highly recommended as a place for that special occasion
Friendly and competent staff, delicious food and excellent wine list. Highly recommended!
Possibly the smallest coffee I drank, but it is where you go for some really good wine. Not a coffee shop.Service was good.Price is na - was hosted by a former colleague.Clean and neat and liked it.
Nice ambience. Friendly staff, Pity that I could not wait to order their desserts
Super friendly, professional and knowledgeable staff, plus excellent fresh, french style cuisine. Loved it.
The wine list is the main attraction for me, the range of Bourgogne wines available by the glass in particular. The food appeared to be priced as well as any other decent restaurant in the City but that isnt really the point.
Top quality service matched by the food. Most excellent 👌
Stopped in here for a apero hour as we had reservations elsewhere but the wine menu was great and we enjoyed some olives and gougeres. The staff knew their wines! The full food menu looked great too... will need to go back to try it for sure!
Service is good and friendly but small portion, non-surprising taste, expensive for its size and taste. Dish layout is beautiful but taste could be improved. My friends ordered steak and it was over cooked. Another friend’s Sea bream risotto was too salty. I was probably lucky as I felt my seabass wasn’t bad.
It was really good! Not outstanding. Service faultless. Food could wow a little more.
Friendly knowledgeable staff and lovely surroundings. Lots of high quality wines by the glass; I highly recommend one of the meurseults.
One word - amazing! If I could give 6 stars - I most certainly would. This was Michelin quality experience of French cuisine! From starter through main course and into desert - every single bite was delightful, full of taste and perfectly executed! My biggest compliments to the chef. Thank you for such wonderful and inspirational food. My wild black bream served with lobster bisque was out of this world!. My husband immensly enjoyed his pheasant. And both of our deserts were to die for. We had Lemon and Orange cake and a Financier (which is an almond kind of sponge) with pears and goosberries. Apple tart looked great too at the next table.Wine list is extensive beyond measure, mostly French wine. But sommelier was so helpful and lovely - we got recomended exectly what we wanted! Great service thoughout, including our waitress and even our host. And the design and ambience inside are beautiful and relaxing.Highly recommend this place. Just be aware it is expensive - amazing place to celebrate an occasion.
This place is worth visiting. They serve large portions for convenient prices. Consistently neat and with awesome vibes. Will come back again.
Very good meal, great service
Really relaxed vibe, great service and amazing food. Had some of the best steak here Ive had since visiting steak houses in America. They gave us 2 baskets of the most amazing bread when we went (we couldnt help but eat the first on extremely quickly). Amazing French food good wine matching.
Excellent food and service
Absolute star of a place - amazing wine list, fantastic food and great service. Please go and support this place throughout covid restrictions so we can ensure it keeps going! A must to visit.
It is not pleasant to hear the chef shouting from the kitchen
Outstanding wine list, phenomenal service and hospitality, seasonal changing food menu. I always have a great time in here
Great place. Happy, interested and attentive staff. Nice buzz.
Went in with my colleagues after an interesting morning and the staff were lovely. Very welcoming and really cheered us all up. Super lovely place, we will definitely be returning. Thank you guys x
Fabulous fine dining. Really interesting menu that looks as good as it tastes. We had a private room which worked really well for a large table. Great service.
Love this place - amazing food, great wine list, well priced. Cant go wrong.
Pricey but youre paying for quality. A pleasant change from the usual city boozer. Food is also very good
Great for private dining in a chic but friendly atmosphere. I was there for a work event which was a very enjoyable lunchtime celebration.
Very good food and wine raccomendations, super friendly staff they really let you feel at home. Thanks to Alfredo, Matteo and all the team.
Great experience! Food was really good. As for the wine where do I start? The list is amazing! Even if you just want a glass theres plenty of nice ones to choose from. The staff was also great which makes me ashamed for not having any change to leave their deserved tip
Friendly, good, generous 👌
Very good very tasty food with generous portions. Amazing Burgundy wine list, both white and red, with more besides but a major focus on Burgundy. Very well executed.
Mushroom risotto with black truffles shredded on top will change your life.
Absolutely perfect! amazing food, great service and nice venue. I strongly recommend it!
We had a nice gathering for 11 of us in the Magnum Room. Great wine, fine food menu, and good service. Great for a small party or team building experience.
Good service and good food
Best wine list Ive seen for a long time. Great food too. Love this place little gem.
Very nice food.Had some stuffed fried frog legs to start with. Then some pork and a nice chocolate desert. The whole experience was especially made lovely by the very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend for a nice work dinner or even a date!
Dinner here last night as a four to celebrate my friends engagement, fantastic service, great food, exceptional wine.Highly recommend.Only suggestions would be to request full wine list when seated as opposed to the initial sheet, youll be pleasantly surprised when seeing full list. Will return!
Very strong list of Burgundy (although a bit pricey well it’s Burgundy we are talking about here). The food quality is very good. I heart Blandford Comptoir though:)
Short menu, perfectly executed and beautifully presented. Wine list is dauntingly long, primarily focused on Burgundy wines. Recommended!
Excellent food. Nice atmosphere. Good wine. Had the Pork Belly and the cracking apple tart
Excellent staff at always
Regular customer, always amazing service and great food. Recommended
Tremendous service, fabulous wine list, wonderful food, friendly staff.
Very bad service that unfortunately leaves no other option than a minimum rating. For this price level service needs to be outstanding. Way inferior to other nearby restaurants such as Goodmans.
Decent French restaurant. A pleasant change from the Ned or Lombard Street.
Had an amazingly good wine dinner here recently: a memorable wild mushroom risotto and excellent slow cooked beef cheek. Top service and a great setting too along with one of London’s best wine lists !!
A favourite in London. Lovely experience.
Great service, amazing food, amazing wine list! Def a must-go!
Amazing food by Head Chef Edward Boarland and his team. Pure French Cooking at its loveliest. Serving staff treated me as an old friend, super serviceable and thoughtful. What a thill to be in this beautiful restaurant. I will go back asap as soon as I am in the UK again. Margo, The Netherlands
Fantastic service and superb food. Great wine list, peaceful and will be returning.
Great food and such a friendly service....
Lively, efficient and friendly staff front this authentic Burgundian restaurant. They do classic dishes better than youll find in the region - oeuf meurette for one - and brilliant cheese. The wine list is stuffed with goodies, many of them affordable. Even the atmosphere is good, especially for the city. A lovely evening and highly recommended.
We were excited to try Cabotte, and even more so when we managed to get a reserved bar space on a same day reso. The only possible seating as tables were all booked. When we arrived we were happy to sit at the bar, a very comfy velvet clad, seat backed stool, with a display of the restaurant. The Maitred seemed very intent on seating us at a table he managed to expertly maneuver for us, so we moved. We expressed if a reservation would need the table after all we were ok to move back to the bar.Food was not great, not magnifique, maybe just OK. The sweatbreads were cold, and I felt lacking in seasoning and depth of flavor. My pear cheese tartine, and salad were delicious. I had the hake for an entree, which was essentially a half of a fish fillet. While tasty, all portions at the table were very small. My colleagues duck was also served barely warm and the portion size scant. We ordered a half bottle of white and a bottle of red. We had just finished our entrees, plates still in front of us, when the Maitred returned asking us if we can be moved to have our dessert. While that wasnt what we meant when we offered to move back to the bar, we agreed to move and it turns out, its by the cold front door. He did give us 20% off our meal for doing so, but he ruined our meal and dining experience. Desserts were good and we also ordered more after dinner wine.Overall, Cabotte is ok for a fairly expensive meal ($130 per person) with ok service and ok food. Our dinner out the night before, for half the price, was much better.
Fantastic food, wine and service, top notch!
I love this place since we discovered a few months ago. We were looking for a nice wine bar near Bank and indeed, Cabotte being owned by two French sommeliers has amazing wines but also the food is fantastic. A few weeks back I was fussing over my fish which was not cooked enough and going back last Friday I was greeted with open arms and ensured that the fish will be perfectly cook this time without me even mentioning anything. This makes you to come back many times, was so surprised they remembered after such a long time. The atmosphere is very nice, super friendly and attentive service. It is a place for a date night but also for a dinner with a few friends. I think the chef will keep us surprising with new amazing dishes not shy away from Michelin star restaurant quality.
Very nice food and good service
Service a little average for this type of restaurant. It just seemed to be mistake Street mistake meaning we missed courses, and drinks!Still had an enjoyable time, but expected better service.
Service amazing and food even better
Well-executed French food with an impressive wine list long on Burgundy. Wine prices are a bit cheeky for the average corporate budget, though.
Great tasty food and fantastic service. Not disappointed.
What a little gem dad and I went to London museum on the way back found this French restaurant amazing food and front of house amazing deserts to die for a great experience will be back . Rowena (Woodford)
Food doesnt get any more French than this .... Excellent all round. Duck egg entrée was particularly good. They have an comprehensive wine list and also use a Corivan so you can get a glass of aged Burgundy - something that is pretty rare to find.
Always great food and service
Have been several times and the food is always fantastic. Ambience is lovely and relaxed and great service.
Amazing hospitality and wine list
Really nice wine bar with good food. An upmarket location (with price to match) - but well worth it.
Fantastic service, fantastic food, fantastic wine. Worth every penny.
Amazing wine and delicious French dishes , I would come back any time
Fantastic wine, fabulous food and really a beautifully designed space - I love the Burgundy concept, it makes it a unique spot in London, and defo not just for city types!
Being run by 2 sommeliers, the wine list is exceptional. The lamb was extremely tender and the side of leek gratin accompanied it nicely. Highlight was the tarte tatin for desert - a Crispy base and caramelised top with a dollop of clotted cream.
Small intimate bar restaurant, good food and wine list
Excellent French food, with astonishing Burgunsy heavy wine list. Truly exceptional.
It has okay food but the people there can be dodgy
Great French restaurant. Had oysters and pasta with truffles.
Fabulous wine list, with loads by the glass, including some special ones by coravin. Service is friendly and attentive. Dishes are simple but delicious. Mushroom and onion tart, pork rump and tarte tatin particularly memorable.
Superlative food, service is adequate at best though. A shame as deserves better
Excellent food and wine with friendly staff on hand to guide you through the extensive wine list. The Jambon persillé and Dingley Dell pork rump are highly recommended.
Brilliant wine list
A long wait for a table after we had booked - cheap cuts of meat at a proper price
Great food and wine
Love it. Great food and exceptional wine list
Very average food. Nice place otherwise.
Amazing staff!
Nice food in a City setting
Great food, great service
