Called in yesterday mid-cycle to pick up some inner tubes but mentioned to the guys behind the counter that I was experiencing some strange noises from my brand new road bike (purchased from an infamous online retailer). They came straight out to my bike, had a look at it and pushed it to the front of the queue to get it fixed. Was there for all of 10 minutes. Couldnt recommend more highly, and will be making an effort to come back more in the future when in the area.
I recently had Pearsons service my cycle after not using it for over a year. The service itself was completed quickly and it was very fairly priced! Since using it there is a noticeable improvement. Smoother/easier ride, chain not so noisy and braking is much sharper. Handling is also better. Great job all around! Happy Customer!
Very friendly! After unfortunately loosing my back wheel (but finding it rather quickly overtaking me!), I turned up on a busy morning. They took the time to have a look at the bike, straighten it out and finding in the process that I was just about to loose my front wheel which would have been a lot more interesting. As I suggested payment, they told me to come back one of these days with a packet of biscuits! So I crossed the road to a fantastic Italian deli, bought a packet of biscuits and debt paid! I have bought excellent kit from them, and I will now use them to service the bikes, despite being out of my way.
Get all my bikes serviced here. Recently purchased an Off Grid gravel bike which is superb. Staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgable. After sales service is excellent. Always go above and beyond. Highly recommended.
Went for a fit with Nas, he eliminated problems I had with my fit very quickly and generously helped problem solve on the spot. Obviously very experienced and will continue to recommend him to others. Shop and customer service is 5*
Ive been a longterm customer but I continue to be blown away by the service and quality of the bikes and equipment. My new Objects in Motion is both stunning to look at and fantastic to ride. Thank you from a very happy customer
I have used Pearsons four times recently for issues that stop me from getting out cycling but to them its a quick 10 minute fix. Their ability to make time to sort my bike out for me has brought me hours of happiness. A great local bike shop
Picked up my new HammerandTongs this weekend and have ridden over 200km so far with a huge grin on my face. Quality of the frame and components is fantastic, extremely smooth and rapid ride and it fits like a glove following a pre-purchase fit. The customer service from a (very) long established, small independent is also second to none. So glad I didnt go down the Specialized, Trek, Giant etc route and supported a fabulous UK manufacturer and retailer. Looking forward to 10,000s of kms on the new beast.
Like this place a lot. I like to be able to strike up a relationship with a bikeshop/workshop and I felt I could do that here.
Ive bought 2 bikes through Pearson - and will no doubt buy more. I buy from Pearson because as much as I expect a bike to be perfect they do have a lot of moving parts and problems will arise. When my Pearson bought bike (Trek Domane SL7) is not working perfectly I know it will be fixed quickly with no hesitation and I am back out having fun - not getting frustrated arguing over whos fault it is. Always happy to pay for great service backed with honest advice and a genuine smile.
Very helpful. Great Quality. My next bike coming from them
Do not reccomend this service. They didnt even bother checking required bolt torque on crankarm not to mention they didn`t include for the other bolt. Beacuse of that I had almost caused an accident. An absolute ripoff and unprofessional servicing. For the amount they charge you`d at least require all bolts and parts checked and screwed to the required torque. Do not leave your bike there!
Brilliant service - Its a Sunday, my freehub has failed. Pearsons workshop is open and busy. An informative talk through and I leave my wheel; parts are on back order and the one they have might be the right one. Less than an hour later I have an email and text to say job done. Mechanic spots me before I am in the shop and brings me the wheel with the old parts zip tied to the wheel. I express my thanks, pay a more than reasonable fitting cost plus the part and leave; happy. Pearson is THE best cycle shop I know. Thank you.
This is more than a bike store... it the paradise for bike lovers. Knowledge of everyone is above anything you can find in a bike shop. You can feel the heritage of this family indépendant company. Did a bike fit and was one of the best time in my life! Been there already around 10 times over 2 years I discovered them and always such a pleasure to go there. We need more people like you:)
I received the best customer service from the staff and the mechanic
First-class service on several visits to Pearson including a bike fit for my partner and me with Nas. The Pearson team provide unrivalled customer service and expertise. Highly recommended and we will definitely be long term customers.
Max at Pearson was really very helpful at fixing a complex wheel puncture at very short notice. Very approachable, friendly service and good quality materials used. Would definitely recommend.
Massive thanks to the mechanic who got me out of a pickle yesterday when I just couldnt get my tyre back on the rim after an unlucky puncture outside Richmond Park. Got me back up and running again and I made it to an appointment in Newbury with 5 mins to spare (notwithstanding having lost 1 hour struggling myself with the tyre). Excellent service - highly recommended.
Friendly, welcoming professional service from everyone at Pearson on helping with accidental issues, bike servicing through to buying my recent bike. Highly recommend.
Excellent shop, lovely and knowledgeable staff.Highly recommend.
We had an issue when cycling in Richmond! Staff were incredibly helpful and nice! They fixed the bike in 30 minutes!Fantastic service!I would highly recommend it if you have any issue while cycling in Richmond park.Thank you
Super friendly and knowledgeable team. Very happy with my new red bike all fitted perfectly to my size. Thank you so much!
Bike broke down when I was nearby the store - the staff were excellent, first class service as they replaced my wheels in the space of around 15 minutes (had a latte in store whilst I waited). The advice from the staff was excellent. The new wheels have been excellent value for money. Really felt like the guys knew what they were talking about and were offering genuine advice rather than trying to push sales. Will definitely be returning in future!
BIKE FITTING service is extremely amateur. The aim is to do the easiest adjustments not the most required adjustments. The fitting provided caused more pain while riding which was non existent prior to fitting. From the insoles to the seating position everything was incorrect. They returned my bike with a loose crank after looking at my power meter. Contacting them for a resolution was slow an painful not receiving responses for days.I actually had to go elsewhere for a professional bike fit which is what I was after. If you are new to riding and want a professional bike fit, avoid these amateurs.
Super nice people, quickly fixed a puncture for me after I found out the hard way that there is no such thing as “it’s just a quick ride, I won’t need spares”
Great bike shop in East Sheen. Staff are very knowledgeable and happy to advise.Had a spoke snap and they were able to accommodate me as a walk-in to put in a replacement and true the wheel. Thankful to them for doing that instead of making me wait a week given the current increase in bike servicing wait times.
Left hand crank fell off! Hobbled there with one pedal - was welcomed in and offered a coffee. The guys in the shop were incredibly friendly, fixed it for me there & then (and realigned my rear derailleur) and didnt charge me for it (sadly didnt have any cash as otherwise would have happily tipped them). Will be using them from now on and highly recommend. Good covid protocols too for anyone concerned.
Nice guys very proffesional helped me out in a tight spot there and then
Used many bike shops in my time and have often felt like I was going to be overcharged for standard services and as though I should be happy to be given their time. My recent services and purchases from Pearson were a different ballgame. Highly communicative about what fixes were needed on my bike and didn’t charge for anything not essential. Done on time and with a smile. When I bought some clothing it was hand delivered by staff to my place and they followed up personally to see I had received and whether I was happy. Staff in store are cheerful and it makes me want to see them succeed. Keep it up Pearson team!
I have been a customer of Pearsons since I moved to London 2 years ago from the states. Ive acquired four bikes through their shop since then, one as a complete build (Pearson Objects in Motion), a Storck that was custom painted and built up in their shop, and the others shipped to them from the states as framesets and completed by Pearson. Ive also purchased 2 Frog bikes for my daughters. Guy and Will are a great source of information and expertise, and are always there to help. They are staffed by great mechanics and sales people who are friendly and professional, and the shop has a very inclusive atmosphere. I would recommend them for both serious cyclists and for those just getting started!
Nice coffee. Particularly good after a very wet and muddy Gravel ride
Instant high quality service on a Sunday... Brilliant! Thanks for my new wheels and tyres :-)
Had a problem with my cleat/pedal on my commute home from work and stopped in here to see if anyone could help. Staff were super helpful and kind and sorted out the problem within 10 mins. I would definitely return and highly recommend!
Very helpful staff. Highly recommended
Staff were really helpful, the bike rides like an absolute dream and looks very cool. Would highly recommend.
Just bought a new Pearson bike - amazing customer service and advice on what to get to suit my needs - very personable - and a lovely bike - all in all a very pleasant experience - thx
Pearson Cycles embodies what great retail about. What a fantastic shop - hugely motivated knowledgeable, friendly staff. Just bought a Ridley hybrid - and cannot fault the buying experience from initial chat to purchase to collection and after sales. 5 stars. I cannot recommend Persson cycles highly enough - would have no hesitation in recommending them and will happily be buying there again
Amazing personal service with top quality bikes and kit.We bought kids bikes from Will and the team, and Pearson gravel bikes for adults. Really knowledgeable and honest personal service. Plus always on hand for servicing and maintenance bits and pieces.Real gem of a bike shop 🙌🏼🔥
Excellent service, the staff there are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with any issues you might have with your bike. Theyve got a pretty good range of bikes in store as well as clothing and other accessories.
Super friendly and informed service. Some bike shops can be quite snobby but these guys were happy to answer any questions & had great knowledge.
Fantastic shop with experts who know their stuff. Purchased a Kask Mojito helmet. Good price. Great advice. Also checked out my bike as I had lost control in a ditch earlier in the day. Did a check of bike and made a tweak on my handlebars. Will use this shop again.
Popped in with two burst tyres. In and out in 10 minutes. Hugely professional, quick, easy and reasonable. Couldnt recommend more.
Great customer service our comment anybody to come here its really good people working here and they help you out
Not recommended for equipment.People talk positively about the repair service, but it was not the right shop for a novice London commuter cyclist (but experienced cyclist) like me. I came for some advice on simple equipment (high vis equipment options and lock) and felt not taken seriously - probably I should have been cautioned by the name of the shop. As a commuter performance is not the key focus and Pearson Performance might focus more on a sport cyclists. Also do check prices carefully: the gear is significantly more expensive (eg. I noticed a 50-60% markup on gear e.g. Abus Granit X Plus 540 sold for 109.99£ vs 69.95£ at Halfords or ~75£ anywhere else).
James did an amazing job fixing my racer-thank you!
Great shop! Workshop mechanic really knows his stuff. Top dude!
Bike shops have been and still are increasingly busy during the Covid 19 crisis and as most things in London, you wouldnt expect to have your bike inspected and tweaked on the spot. I was pleasantly surprised when the guys at Pearson took the time to ré-index the gears on my girlfriends bike today,as we were riding past East Sheenand for free with that!Top friendly service, will be back to spend my money there . Thanks!
Ive been a regular customer of Pearson for a while and today I had my first bad experience with it. I showed up at 8:15 for the Saturday first come first served, they looked at the bike as said they could have done the job. They suggested to go back home and come back later. I took an Uber home, then an hour later they called me and said they couldnt do the service. Too intricate for a Saturday morning. Uber back to the shop and I found out they had out a fairings back in the wrong way, so it rubbered against the tyre and got ruined on the way back.
Such helpful staff yesterday when we had a puncture around Richmond Park .. Had the lovely walk back to youre shop where u fixed my friends childs puncture swiftly .. Huge thanks...
A while back, I purchased a bike as a gift. Because I was currently working out of country, all this had to be done long-distance. Pearson Performances--and David, in particular--were lovely and incredibly helpful. I could not have asked for a better service. Thank you! The bike was incredibly well received, and he continues to find great joy in it.
Guy, I wanted to thank you and your team for the advice, time and flexibility given in bringing together my Kinesis 4S Disc Winter build. Ive only done a few km but it rides well and the position feels good. I really appreciated the service (far outweighs any savings to be had online) and am delighted with the finished bike. I look forward to many more commuting and training km in the years to come.
Weve bought both my sons bikes from Pearsons, and been really impressed with their level of service and their knowledge. Theyre also really happy to help out with little biking niggles and problems which crop up, even if you havent bought the bike from them.
This is a really good bike shop. I wish I lived nearer to it! Really nice, seemingly knowledgeable staff, some great gear for sale and a good workshop.
Did not go to the shop
This place was recommended by three people I trust so it was an obvious place to visit when preparing for a big ride. All staff were immediately friendly, professional and knowledgeable. They understood and met my needs and did so with an air of calm expertise. A brilliant bike shop that I would recommend to anybody!
Great assistance from Guy and the team this morning helping me with fitting a new groupset on my bike. No worries approach and were able to do the work there and then so I could get going. Lovely coffee while I waited as well. Very happy with the support :) Go check them out!
Went to get my cleats fitted here, it was awful. Had grinding sensations all over my knees and got injured before going back to my old bike fitter. My old bike fitter said that hed had 2 people come back to him because theyd had so many issues after seeing Naz.Nice bike shop and bikes - but go elsewhere for any fitting if you dont want to be forced off your bike.
The Pearson team are simply put some of the best bike people on this planet. A family business in the truest sense of the word. If you care about your bike, or your cycling this is the place to plug in. Just one bit of advice from me. Dont be in a rush. Its worth having a bit of time for a coffee and just to generally hang out and chat.
Now that Im lucky enough to live in West London I get to see what makes Pearsons so popular. My partner just bought some of their cycling shorts, a comparable price to Raphas but with merino leg/knee warmers thrown in. Their zip up merino cardi is beautiful for work (too good to wear in construction - even if you are a manager! ;)Addendum: Now have their Summon The Blood. My son (gamhead on youtube) tried it the other day and said hes jealous of the brakes!! Hes a serious mountainbiker as you will see from his vids so I would say that is praise indeed. Also got the Field Day insulated jacket for Christmas. (Far too nice to wear whilst cycling! ;)Addendum 3: Not only is customer service, product knowledge and ambience outstanding, the coffees as good as Raphas. I love visiting this store..
Took my two bikes to get their tyres fixed. Excellent customer service and fast and efficient too!
With an increasing amount of cycle shops who need to stay competitive its difficult finding a shop with highly skilled mechanics and fair prices. I found one in this shop. They have helped out keeping my aeroad working like clockwork and have been able to fine tune my shifting to a level other shops were not able to, highly recommend!
Had an issue with my bike so found Pearson Performance online and went to the store. Service was first class, friendly knowledgeable staff, will be the place i visit with any problems in the future. Highly recommended!
Well organized ride and good covid19 protocols
Cracking bike shop - friendly staff, were super helpful when I had to go into get a new chain after mine snapped and got it fixed in minutes, good coffee, nice selection of clothing.
Bought a helmet there. Great shop and service.
Shop well equipped and staff helpful
Pearson SHEEN provide first and foremost a warm and welcoming customer service (from professional/ experienced road cyclist, regular commuters and complete novices without the elitist language). The store offers well considered quality products with great design style and ethos, with comprehensive supportive Workshop, Bike fitting, physical health clinics, supported Rides and great coffee. They carry a modest range of own and other selected premium brands covering all your cycling needs for different disciplines for all seasons.Whilst not the cheapest the Pearson own brand has a great heritage offering a quintessential British Road cycling style, (less of the brash over sponsored European fashions), if you are looking for a brand to feel apart of then Pearson is a good place to start rather than simply being just another customer.
Walked in with my child’s and my bike having slight problems and biked too far, fixed here with a smile. Lovely, helpful staff and shop. I will be back for new tyres soon. Loved this place.
I have used Pearsons only twice! First was to have a new headset and forks fitted. A very good job was done indeed. Second was to have a new rear wheel built. Again - a very good job was done. Excellent customer service too. I will be a returning customer and I am happy to recommend them.
Excellent customer service.
Not the cheapest but quality kit and bikes. Sure you can get stuff cheaper on wiggle and crc etc but a proper LBS is always a great thing.Just bought my daughters first proper bike from here and they couldn’t have been more helpful.Recommended
Strolled in and it was a bit busy, thinking I was gonna have to wait...but then a young boy asked if he could help, heres me getting a bit confused that a kid is asking to help (school holiday time), what do they know ey...?I said what pedals and cleats I had and my size, and he sorted out the shoes and explained how they should feel and fit etc (Im pretty new to proper cycling). He was brilliant!Made me eat my words/thoughts.Great place for anything cycle related. Would spend time getting to here for my cycle needs. Highly recommended!!!
Super nice people, long history, well chosen products and exclent after sales service. Worth shopping local for this sort of value.
Not happy because I wanted to buy a face shield and when trying it on was too tight for me so I asked the viking-looking guy for bigger sizes because this one is too tight on my face features to which he replied:Dude if you want to find something to rob people with, I do not have itSeriously? Not only overpriced but the discrimination is real. Probably waited his whole life to say this. Good job buddy you prevented someone from committing a robbery...
Popped in to get a nut which had fallen of my rattling old mudguard. Staff member (with the big beard) was friendly and super helpful, even put it on for me. :-)
Really friendly & helpful. Repaired my scooter despite being a bike shop.
Surely one of London’s best bike shops. Their own branded frames and bikes are super cool too... conveniently located on the outskirts of Richmond Park
Great bike shop. I went in 10 minutes before closing having been caught out with a puncture whilst cycling the Thames Path. The chap I dealt with was very friendly and helpful and even came out to check everything was ok as I fixed my tire before he locked up. Lent me a pump, filled up my water bottle and I went on my way feeling very grateful for assistance with a smile. Thank you.
This is not your everyday bike shop. Yesterday my daughter asked for some help on a recently purshased bike online. A replacement, insurance paid and organized. The people at Pearsons could have easily turned her away but they didnt. Instead she was listened to, advised and helped with a quick repair..... all of it free. All of it dispite plenty of paying customers around. My next bike, hopefully not a replacement of a stolen one, will definitely be from this shop!
Excellent advice regarding a wheel rebuild and then a very speedy and superb job for less than I expected. Ive been on the lookout for a good wheel fixer - now I know where to go!
Excellent customer service.
I took my bike in to get have my inner tube replaced, for a puncture on the way to work and didn’t have anything on me unfortunately. When I was there the staff were condescending, patronising and when I asked about if I’d need to replace “these”(pointing at the tyres), it was the day it was 37oc, instead of being polite he said “it’s a “tyre” it’s called a tyre. I’m sure had I been a guy he wouldn’t have been so patronising and tried to fob me off with £70 of work when I asked if the front one simply needed replacing. (Btw it doesn’t)It gets worse, after I received my bike back, i was cycling back home, in lots of traffic, and felt my bike wasn’t right. They’d only put my front wheel back on incorrectly! When I called them up, it seemed to be highly likely they wouldn’t make a mistake despite telling them I was currently on the side of the road fixing it. It could have caused serious damage and I swerved in the road which lucky for them there was an empty bus stop! There was no care, no apology, nothing.I doubt they’ve even noted the complaint as the guy I spoke to was very defensive saying “I never did it” when I never said he did I just said this needs to be taken seriously as putting a front wheel on is not hard and should have been checked over for road worthy before handing it back, it clearly wasn’t.Anyway disgusting service and check your bike before taking it away, these are professionals and they can’t put a wheel back on right
I have been of a customer of Pearsons (Sheen) for a couple of years. Their knowledge, expertise & service is second to none. All the guys are affable keen cyclists and always have time for you when you have a query or need something adjusting. They have a great range of bikes, components and accessories to fit all budgets. You never feel pressurized into buying (hard sales pitch) but in the end you buy based on their expert advice, passion and service. I have purchased two bikes from Pearsons and I would not get them serviced or upgraded anywhere else.
Very friendly staff saved my day when my chain broke after a spin in Richmond Park. After the broken link was replaced, I realised I had forgotten my wallet, but the nice chap told me not to worry about it. Will definitely drop in again (with money) and would highly recommend!
Will & his team are clearly expert cycle mechanics & went out of their way to help keep my cycling, whilst experiencing mechanical difficulties. Also, having seen the quality of the Pearson Ti frames in person, ill be returning here, as soon as the time comes for my upgrade,
Ive gone on the pearsons website to help BTEC IT students and some of the task makes no sense. For examples they claim that a fitness monitor is not digital which in fact it is. i am very upset as this is not the only time. FIX THIS PEARSON!!!
Nice local bike shop, patient advice from dedicated cyclists. Not cheap but they are really nice when it comes to servicing. They organise cycle events too.
A fantastic job by Innis and subsequently Will with specific help on my home build Ritchey WCS Logic and then checking my build. The bike is a great ride. A very professional service and very reasonable prices. Thank you.
Great if you have a bike worth a fortune, and you can afford to spend whatever they quote you, not so good if you have a bog-standard bike and the servicing costs nearly as much as the bike did. Plus its a case of booking your bike in well in advance.Theyre very expensive, and I didnt enjoy the slightly unfriendly tone of the staff.
Great service, great coffee. One of the few proper bike shops left in London where the staff are always willing to have share their expertise.
The service and level of customer care I received was the best I’ve experienced in London. Will be my go-to shop in south west.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. But always the risk of buying something lovely that you did not come in for!
Excellent workshop service from friendly staff. Sorted out my creaking BB. Silence is golden.
My sort local shop, as I’m based the wrong side of Surbiton, it’s still the shop i support, great staff as is Guy and Will Pearson, always first class service in the workshop by Wilf.
I am a regular at Pearsons now because every time I go and no matter who I see I feel I get impartial expert advice, prompt service, and a safer, faster bike following services.
Great bike shop, knowledgeable staff, good workshop services
Pearson: always the best.
After terrible experiences with Cycle Surgery and Evans, I had a really positive, informative, encouraging and helpful experience at Pearsons and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
Very friendly and helpful staff! The cafe with hot drinks is an added bonus!
