We chose the London restaurant festival set menu. All 5 courses were delicious! The only reason I gave 4 star instead of 5 because the service “forgot about us “.Thank you so much for the experience.Tip:Go early enough so you can have a drink in the side bar!Delightful experience!!

Wow. What a fantastic find. Outstanding location and setting in an old library. The food was the best Indian I have ever eaten - we shared the 20th anniversary butter chicken and it was sensational.Drinks selection was also extensive (wine) and good variety of beer.Staff were also highly attentive and knowledgeable. For a special occasion, I would highly recommend the Cinnamon Club.

Visited this restaurant last week and was blown away by the culinary experience. I purchased the tasting menu and to say it was “good” is a vast understatement the dishes were served in good time and not a second too late, each course was just the right size and by the end of the meal I felt sufficiently filled. The staff were exceptional and welcoming and I ended up leaving them a 33% tip as I felt it was necessary and well deserved. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who has a delectable appetite for an Indian menu.

Top notch food at a not unreasonable price - we paid just over £200 for the 4 of us and had some starters, desserts and some cocktails. It was very quiet on the Monday lunchtime we visited so lacked atmosphere but thats not the restaurants fault. Restrooms could do with an update. Loved everything about the food 🍽️

What felt initially like an odd place to go into. An old library through and through with no signage out the front to suggest there is a lovely cocktail bar and Restaurant inside. Well, that soon changed by the time the first dish came. I share below the starters we had round the table. Paneer, fish, pigeon and chicken and wow the taste was incredible! This was only boosted when the main came and the butter chicken for two is 100% recommended and I may say one of the best butter chicken, and curry flavours Ive had. My advice, order extra naan because youll want to dip into the sauce over and over again.I cant wait to go back!

Unfortunately we were seated in cramped seating below the low ceiling of the mezzanine floor, at a row of tables devoid of table cloths, with our neighbouring diners chairs literally back to back with ours. Consequently, because of the close proximity of our seats, the lively sounds of the restaurant failed to obscure our neighbouring tables expletive laced dinner discussions from our family. Having specifically chosen to dine at The Cinnamon Club for the beautiful book-lined spacious dining room, with crisp white table cloths and stylish banquet seating, we really found our cramped, unclothed table pretty disappointing. Consequently, the high-end vibe wasnt there, it felt more All Bar One. But with a much higher price tag. The food was fine, a minor annoyance was that the bread didnt seem fresh. Our empty glasses sat uncleared for some time, adding to the cheap pub ambience (please note, the waiters and waitresses were great, this was one oversight). If we had been seated in the main dining area, as opposed to the wings, I think it would have been a much better experience. These tables looked really beautiful and were spaced out. If I had known in advance we risked being sat in the dud seating, I would have booked somewhere else.Positive aspects were: delicious wine, interesting cocktails, a really lovely and attentive waitress and a thoughtful surprise birthday dessert plate.I didnt know whether to write a review that has a negative lean, but wish I had a heads up on the table situation before I visited.

I visited the Cinnamon Club on Saturday 8th August 2021, the last time I was at this restaurant was in 2010. I’ve heard lots in the media regards restaurants who operate a racial segregation policy regards their seating but never experienced it first hand until the evening of my booking. I’m a black man & visited the restaurant with my female friend who is also black, even though my reservation was for 6.30pm & the main restaurant was fairly empty whilst waiting to be seated I noticed that once the front of house staff saw we were black they started to have a conversation among themselves & rather than show us to our table in the main dining room led us to another dining room which was not the main dining room & completely empty. I was livid about this & myself & my friend we realised straight away what was happening, I insisted that we be sat in the main dining room otherwise I would walk out, they then found a table for us in the main dining room. I’ve been eating out regularly at restaurants for over 25 years & have visited lots of the top restaurants in London, never before have I ever been treated like this, whilst I enjoyed my meal I felt the service was poor (the table waiting staff could do with eating a happy meal) the 3 stars I gave was for the food, I won’t be recommending The Cinnamon club to any of my friends be they black or white it seems since I was last there in 2010 they now partake in racial segregation.

The four stars is for the food. Wine was superb! Delightful! Delicious. Indian food with a modern twist. Always good to try something different. Service was poor or more so below average, bit slow and jumbled. Dishes arriving at different times. For that price I expect a white glove service. Three starters arrived 10 mins after others. Placed the starter in front of the persons face rather than gently placing the food on the table. Just odd. Super hot in temperature in the dining room upstairs and didnt switch the AC on when asked. Made the evening very uncomfortable, it was useless brings bottles and bottles of water. All in all food was nice and we were a party of 10-12 they could have given us a larger table. Would I go there again? Very unlikely.

My experience started off rocky. I made a reservation for the tasting menu at 9:45pm through Open Table. We arrive, get seated, and the server brings menus. I mention that we reserved the tasting menu so we’ll just like to see the wine list. He says it’s too late for the tasting menu, you have to be there by 9:30 and we should order something else. I’m not from here so it’s not like I can just come back get the tasting menu next week so I’m annoyed. I ask why there’s an option to reserve the tasting menu at 9:45 if we can’t actually order that and he says, we need to order from the regular menu. That’s it. I’m visibly upset because this restaurant came highly recommended and my dining experience was not going well but we look at the menu to try to order.I ask for recommendations and Chris, the server, suggests we pick a few starters and do the butter chicken special which is enough for two. Ok, cool. We order that and wine. Chris comes back with wine and apologizes for the issue with the tasting menu, comps the wine and lets us know he’ll take care of us so not to worry. We had the lobster thermidor and the lamb mille starters and once we tasted the food, it was hard to stay upset. The food was delicious! Chris apologizes again, brings more wine, and chats with us. Our mains come out and again, AMAZING. We had the butter chicken, rice, naan, veggies, and mashed potatoes. Everything was great! The servings are generous and even though this is an upscale spin on Indian classics, the flavors were authentic and really took it up a notch. Chris also comped our desserts which were spectacular. He was patient with a difficult situation that was beyond his control but he really took care of us and made up for the booking/timing issue. He was personable and friendly and really made the dining experience worth it. Truly impeccable service from Chris!

We were in the neighborhood of Westminster Abbey and we wanted to go to a restaurant nearby. Without knowing much, we walked into this restaurant when we were looking for casual lunch. Didnt take much to realize that this was not casual at all. However, we decided to take part in what they had to offer. As vegetarians, I went for the 2 course lunch, breadbasket and couple of sides for sharing with my wife. The cauliflower on tandoor with mix of sauces - I think in included strong mustard or may be wasabi - was a clever play on the palette. My second course had a base of a thick sambar and moon carved pumpkins on top. As a south Indian, I thought the sambar could not be re-imagined without spoiling my habitual taste of it. I was blown away by this too. The other sides - dhal, bread and aloo gobi was wonderful in their own way.We asked for masala chai and the waiter said they were out of spices. However they offered a regular tea on the house. We said no and ordered the dessert. The kulfi was wonderful with a marble chocolate sliver on top and puffed rice on the floor of the plate. It tasted amazing. While we were at it, we were surprised by our waiter bringing us a pot of tea, he said he found some spices and made it himself. Not sure how he did it, it was one of the best tasting tea I have had in a long time. He was surprised himself that we liked it much. There was enough for two of us to have two cups! This restaurant is expensive, but every bit worth it. The service, food, style and quality - everything had attention to detail.

While I enjoyed my butter chicken (I am a big fan of this dish), I was underwhelmed by the quality of the chicken and by the fact that the bones had to be removed. The meat was also slightly dry. This place is amazing, absolutely amazing. My wife and I went there for our 5th wedding anniversary and the service that we received was beyond reproach and the food itself was exquisite. We had the taster menu which seemed to go on forever but not so much that you would feel completely overwhelmed by the quantity. The courses were complementary in nature, well presented and all beautifully cooked. It is not cheap, but then not expensive for what you receive. Remember this is not your local Indian takeaway joint. This is probably also not like what your local Indian takeaway serves (cant be sure because i dont know what your local Indian takeaway is like) but is more a modern twist on Indian food.As a side note they presented us with a signed card from the staff and a slice of cake to help us celebrate our anniversary.I can not rate the service or quality of The Cinnamon Club enough. Nice restaurant, service is okay and food is average. The restaurant was recommended to me by various local people. The cuisine offered here is a newly fashionable Indian creation. The restaurant itself is located in the old Westminster library and looks inconspicuous from the outside weich makes it more mysterious. The style continues inside and makes the visit something special. Already when entering you are welcomed friendly and accompanied to the table. The furnishings are very modern. The menu is very clear and you can see at first glance that you are trying to combine two worlds.Had as starter chicken tadoori and crab risotto. In the main course lamb and as sides two different lentils as well as cauliflower with potatoes and rice and naan bread. The chicken was dry and cold, the risotto was through and rather muddy. The lamb was cold as well as the bread. After a short question if the lamb and bread is served cold, we were brought warmer bread after a longer waiting time (only warmed up, no new bread), but with the lamb they did not react. Portions are very small with the price. Conclusion: For the price I had expected something special, a taste explosion, but apart from the beautiful ambience and the nicely decorated food on the plate I must confess was the service as well as the food rather average. For the money you can definitely eat much better in London.

Others had been waiting an hour already! We were finally seated at 10pm - 1 hour and 15 minutes after our booking time. We decided to order the tasting menu and were told it would take around 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete once the first course was served. First course came at 10:30pm and by midnight we gave up and asked them to pack up the final 2 courses. Food was average at best, certainly not worthy of a Michelin Star. A few courses were nice, but basics like the bread basket were served luke warm.To top it all off, when the bill came there was no apology and we had to bring the issue up just for them to even acknowledge it. I took my friends family when they came from India. I am from India and I live here now. I gave 2 stars due to the below reasons:There was a manager?? who received us when we went there. She was an Asian and wore a suit (grey colour). My friend from India suggested that, there should me a name of the restaurant in front. We were quickly informed by the her that it was a grade 2 building and they cant put any signs or name boards. We could see that, she wasnt happy with my friends suggestion. The reception from her was very poor to us.We came from the bar downstairs as our table was ready upstairs, we had drinks in our hands, the lady took our glasses and mixed all our drinks when placed at our table in the restaurant. So we had to order again.I was watching the reception to other people in the same restaurant (non Asians) ( I am not a racist), the lady gave good smile and welcoming them!I saw the reviews and felt, I will surprise my friend for his 40th, but it wasnt a pleasant experience with that lady.I spent nearly 350£ that night and also good amount of tip as other team members were very helpful and food was good.I also uploaded below pictures.Food and Drinks were good but I am not going to make any of my future reservations there.I am sure Cinnamon club dont need reviews from people like us to maintain such a high end restaurant.Respect and treat all the same, I guess. This is the first time, I wrote a review. All the best to that Lady and Cinnamon club.

I was prepared for a fine dining experience and was left feeling like this place is massively over hyped. The staff were not as polished as one would expect. Drinks were served in a wildly inappropriate glass and it took ages to take our order despite having closed menus. The starters were okay. Nothing groundbreaking like I had expected. Some decent flavours but I wasnt wowed. The mains arrived and it was obvious they were not fresh and had been sat under a heat lamp. One bite tried- barely warm.We sent them back and left. Bitterly disappointing.
