Very good food and even better hospitality. As and where required they top and tail the food to your requirements. Not only did we eat in but we also got some food as takeaway. Tinto, our server was on top of his game and absolutely brill. Dont think twice about eating here - simply stunning,
Excellent food and friendly staff in a family owned restaurant. Lots of vegan options. Will definitely be coming back and will recommend.
Please try to avoid this restaurant at all costs. We were a group of 7 people ans we have never had such a terrible experience. This place is not safe. The rudest staff we have ever encountered. They did not even serve the food for two friends. Racist place and threathed us to call police. Me and our friends will attach all the pics and vidoes for reference.
Authentic and amazing South Indian cuisine. I just traveled from Porto to Lisbon just to eat their amazing Dosasπ
Authentic south Indian food. Worth travelling all the way from Porto. Thank you and see you soon!!Cheers!
Craving Kerala food, we entered the restaurant and were taken aback by the warm hospitality snd the pure taste of home cooked food on our tongues. I would give this place a 5 star. Ask for the main guy called Thintu
The worst service in my life stay away from this place. they r not service people they r THE WORST SC.. U CAN HAVE ON EARTH.
They have the best South Indian food in lisbon, i have personally tried Masala dosa and it was really good, and staff is very nice as well. if youre in lisbon, then this place is must visit !
The waiter was rude and agressive pls do not put your feet in the Restaurante you will need police not to be assulted.
Good South Indian food and excellent customer service.
Best dosas in lisbon and service is very good.5 out of 5
Incredibly good food. Homely enviornement. And a very helpful and nice staff.
Very good food. I am Indian. It has been 2 years since I left the country. The food I ate here was really as delicious as the food my mom made. I liked the food a lot. I tell all my friends to come here and eat. Thank you
Perfekt. One of the best meals Ive had in Europe. I was offered a high level of hospitality. the staff members spoke very well English too so no issues with a language barrier. if somebody would like to try the taste of south India then I highly recommend this restaurant. Well be back for sure
Great food. Must try it.
Best place to have Dosa in the town. Indian Chai was litπ₯
Great food for south Indians, especially for Dosas.β€οΈβ€οΈ
Super hopeless and pathetic staff n owner(lady) was very rude. Very bad service and theyre serving worst food do not dare to visit simply waste of time and money.one more thing owner and staff says its not for indian people then why the hell your staff and food is indian just because of such few people our community name is worsening
We ordered the samosas, onion bhaji, prawn dosa and the malabar king prawn curry. The onion bhaji were the best we had, really full of flavor! The samosas were surprisingly big for wha were used to. They were tasty though a bit more spicy and onion would help. Both the dosa and the curry have were absolutely delicious. I particularly liked the curry. It was thicker than what I was used to but it was awesome. Portions were generous too and for the jeera rice as well. This restaurant was a pleasant surprise as the flavors are different from the typical Indian food youre probably used to. Will definitely return!
Awesome Food! I strongly recommend my Portuguese friends to have π― Indian food.
Very bad service and behaviour of staff, simply avoid this place.
Very good food! They can adapt your dish to the level of spiciness you like, which is not something obvious at every indian restaurant.
Good food. Indian style. I loved it. Good service quality. Will come back
Tasty authentic South Indian Food, Friendly staff , great service and a very good ambience . We will visit again .
Costa do Malabar is a local South Indian restaurant, close to Mercado de Arroios. As a regular client for the past 4 years, I must say the food is amazing and quite different from all Indian restaurants here in Lisboa. Their staff and business owner, are always attentive to their clients well being and remarks, and they make a great effort into bringing real south indian cuisine into every dish. Tasty, cozy ambience, friendly staff and renovated space. A must go to every local and tourist cruising around the coolest neighbourhood in Lisbon, Arroios.
This is one of the best Indian places Ive been. The food is great and tasty and the portions are really good. The menu is not the typical one of an Indian restaurant which, in this case, is great because you have new stuff to try. The staff was nice and friendly. Its not easy to find a parking space but you can use public transportation.
Must visit for lovers of Keralite cuisineDuring travel opinion fir lunch and dinner is limited to Punjabi cuisine especially for vegetarians. This place gives you good options of Keralite type of cuisine.Liked the Ambience though a small neat place to dine. Staff is extra nice and goes out of way to satisfy your whims.Taste of dishes I tasted was awesome especially pyasam.
Very nice staff.Loved the way they handle their customers. We had a complicated order.the staff still very patiently listened to us and delivered nothing but the best.Masala Dosa, Coconut Chutney and Sambar is a must try 10/10
Authentic south Indian food. Fridely service. Economic. Loved it.
Fabulous food with humble service
Real taste with super mango lasi drink.
Horrible price and ambiance. Dont know in which part of India Dosa served with Rice and Dal .....people are getting wrong message about Indian cuisine......
Not recommended. Food was delicious but today they were just playing with us by serving tasteless food. We ordered 2*samosa, 2dosas and drinks. We changed the samber 3 times but they were serving the same. The person who serves everyday, he is used to handle the reception areas and waitress duties as well, was so rude. He must have good sense of customer service and how to communicate with customers and how to serve with good manners. His behaviour is totally unacceptable and totally depend on the customer types. If the customer is European he behaves good, else with theindian people he behaved so rudely.
Fab food and great service
Good authentic Kerala cuisine
Nice experience after 2 years
We had such a tasty dinner here this evening. We havenβt had good Indian food for a long time and this was delicious. Super friendly and accommodating team too. Weβll be back soon :)
Staff behave was very bad with us , we change sambhar 3 time but your staff serve same again and again (too salty) . If i said that maybe no need to pay for last dosa then he behaved like enemies.
Great food and great service.
Very strange service.π
God food,,delicious food,,and good service...
If you are looking to try authentic indian cuisine other than the regular butter chicken and stuff this is definitely the place for you. The ambience and the service is good. Its difficult to find many of the dishes available here anywhere else in Lisbon. I would definitely go there again though.Do give the semiya payasam a try if you are looking for an Indian dessert.
Bad behave waste of time taatelees foodAnd very low quality
Its a nice restaurant. Neat and clean. Tasty foods. Friendly staff. Overall its an amazing south Indian restaurant in lisbon
Bad experience ever had staff behavior iss rude
Quality Indian food, with authentic taste. The quantity of the appetizers is less but is compensated in the main course. The place has a vast range of dishes, each with a different taste. Their mango lassi is definitely worth trying. The staff is lovely and the service is quick. The place doesnt look great from outside but is definitely worth a visit.
Being mostly on the road means its important to find food sanctuaries. Food isnt just taste, but also health (freshness) and energy (the community behind) and this place checks out on all 3! I have eaten everything vegetarian on the menu in the last week and come back literally each and every day. Support the amazing chefs, staff (singers) in the longest running south Indian restaurant in Portugal.
Such an authentic experience with Costa do Malabar. When it comes to customer hospitality hats off guys. If youre looking for a place with an authentic experience and within your budget in Lisbon this would be youre best choice and you would never regret about it each penny you spend would be worth it.
Rude behave ,waste of time, no taste
Love this place. The fish curry is amazing. Lovely staff too. :)
Delicious food and friendly staffs ππ»
Costa do Malabar is my favourite Indian restaurant in Lisbon. Here, you wont find your typical chicken tikka masala, instead you will find authentic South Indian dishes that will surprise you! The food is delicious and the staff is amazing, always looking for customers feedback. It is a must for anyone who loves Indian food and wants to try new flavours.
Excellent dishes from South India. Especially the taste is awesome and is situated in a walkable distance from metro. Finally got tastes of South India after long time.
You can find the best Biryani in Lisbon here. If you are looking for authentic Indian food then this place is for you. Staff are super nice and friendly.
Nice
Very friendly and the food also tasted great, who likes indian food will love this one.
Costa Do Malabar is a unique and signature restaurant of Indian foods in the heart of Lisbon city. It has speciality in south Indian foods. The foods are absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. I went there with my family. From my little son to my old mother, including my husband not only just loved the foods, they simply enjoyed the whole ambience. The owner is very kind and friendly and the staffs are very sober. The team is maintaining the European standards in every prospect. I strongly recommend to all food lovers to visit there. Trust me. You will not be disappointed. My good wishes to team Costa Do Malabar..πΊπ»πΌπ·ππΌπΊ

Had an excellent Masala dosa and the chutneys served along were very nice. Was stranded in Lisbon due to the pandemic situation and was craving for home food. That exactly what we got, Home food!Glad we could meet the very passionate owners. Thank you Sunil and Simi!
The food is delicious and fresh, the staff very friendly, and the ambience pleasant. Highly recommend a visit!
The owner and waiters were really friendly with me, and very patiently guided me through the menu, because I had never been to an Indian restaurant before. The chicken I had was very tasty and not so spicy, just as I requested. The place was clean and cosy. Cant recommend it enough!
Excellent indian food but not your usual kind! Very friendly waiter who helped us when we didnt quite know what to order. Highly recommended.
Great food, Home made taste, Great ambience, and Supportive staffs. If you want to try Authentic Kerala Cuisine at Lisbon, look no futher than Costa do Malabar.

Excellent restaurant to taste authentic SOUTH Indian cuisine. I highly recommend it.Coming from an Indian who lived in the south for 25 years, you now know that this is an authentic Indian restaurant.
Tasty food and wide choice π
The food was amazing and service was better, too.
This place is spot-on for experiencing authentic taste from Kerala. We had Rasam wada, dosa with fresh coconut chutney and prawn kattayum curry and all the dishes left us finger licking π. We are definitely coming back many more times.
Amazing food. Had Meen pollichathu and prawns biriyani. Authentic flavour. Loved it
Chicken biriyani kerala style so delicious
Not great food, we are kind of disappointed, our family went to eat some south indian food, ordered Masala Dosa and Poori with chilli chicken, but everything was not good, very average, we wanted to eat more but could not eat even what we already ordered, the staff was friendly tho...
Home of delicious south indian food. Try fish here.Staff is very polite, friendly and overall satisfaction was very good.
Wide variety of Kerala recipes makes it worth a visit for all the Keralites in Europe who is touring Lisbon.Being a Kerala restaurant I was eager to have porotta with beef curry but surprisingly no beef dishes available!
What a lovely restaurant. Good food and service. Also atmosphere, definitely hope to go back.the dosas were yummy.πππππ
Excellent food, staff, location. Not your regular old curry, this one has something a bit extra.
