Very comfy Indian restaurant, the server was nice and we didnt had to wait. The food was tasty and plenty full, albeit the prices are a bit high its still totally fair. I recommend trying the Indian tea.

One of the oldest places and tested place to try Indian food which never lets you down. Hospitable staff and delicious authentic Indian food. We have been visiting the place for past few years and never have been disappointed. Curries are outstanding.

Amazing Punjabi food, great service, probably the best naan Ive had so far in an Indian restaurants in Leipzig. Individual serving us was super interesting and knowledgeable not only about the food, but many aspects of recent Indian history. But if youre not inclined to chat, they wont bother you of course, but I like to get to know more about the place I am sometimes. Great thalis and amazing chai. Well be back again for sure!

Best Indian food

Original Indian food in Eastern Germany.

The food was very good. The service was friendly and courteous. We felt very comfortable!

The food was tasty and the service average. Only 3 stars because 15-19 € per main course (also vegetarian) is simply not worth it. The rice was bland (sometimes comes with saffron, herbs or other little extras), no papadam with sauces as a free starter, no small schnapps to round off the meal. Dont get me wrong, it doesnt have to be - and its perfectly fine if the dish costs 10-14. But I know half a dozen Indian restaurants that are either cheaper or offer something extra.

If you like Indian food, this is the place for you. There are also many delicious vegetarian and (recently also) vegan dishes.

Super cozy, the staff super nice and the food very tasty.

The best thing was the design of the place, otherwise I was disappointed with the food. The chicken was well done, the sauce was just curry stuff, Ill do that better myself. Just a waiter walking around wearing a mask. Covid hygiene left a lot to be desired.There are better ones.

Stay away - you always had the feeling that you had to leave the store quickly, even though it was almost empty on Friday evenings - one course after another was so hectic brought to the table - even before the process was completed. The food was carelessly clapped in metal bowls and not really tasty either. The dessert was already on the tray with the main course, the cream melted away. The music was overly loud and totally hectic, the flies around us did the rest. So overall uncomfortable, loud, superficial and certainly not really Indian! Very bad, not recommended!

My friend and I came to the restaurant for a spontaneous dinner. We found a place even without a reservation. The atmosphere and ambience were very nice. The food was also delicious and was served quickly.But the service was terrible. The waiter who took our orders was rude from the start and only grumpily took our orders. The other waitresses were very friendly. Everything was good with the starter. but then came the main course. Only my friends food came and I had to wait half an hour. I then asked the waiter why we only got one dish. He was confused at first and didnt say anything and left. After a while he came back with a card that he handed to me. I thought at first that he no longer knew what I had ordered, so I showed him the dish again in the menu. He then said he knew what I had ordered, but I should choose something else because my court would take a long time. So I thought that my dish hadnt even started preparing. I had no problem choosing a different dish, but I had no chance to order a new one because the waiter never came to the table again. After my friend finished eating and I couldnt even order a new dish, I gave it up and we left. The waiter never apologized once.Another evening experience: Our table was next to the patio door. It was open. It was winter and -3 degrees outside. When I asked the waiter to close it, he reluctantly closed it. I later understood why. There were tables and chairs on the terrace. And when more guests came, they were really put on the terrace at winter temperatures. Many guests then asked if there were still a few places available inside. You can’t expect to sit outside in winter. Then prefer to say that there are no more places available.

Confusing card design, tight seats, incomprehensible operation, price-performance ratio very poor! If you are hungry, you probably will not get enough. Mango curry overpriced and no mango flavor! No side dishes besides rice. Not authentic Indian.

We ate very well here, in a nice atmosphere. The service was very friendly. There are many vegetarian dishes and generally a large selection. Definitely try the Mango Lassi, its delicious!

After 90 minutes (!) And the hint to go the same, we were finally served the chicken curry. This was, like the rice, cold. Both the curry and the drinks could have tolerated a little less water. Even without the dirty corners, the price was not appropriate.

Delicious food. The prices are to be expected (from Indian food). I walked past the restaurant with my girlfriend and we spontaneously decided to eat there. The condition was OK, but nothing special. The waiter who brought us the bill was very nice at the beginning but when I asked him to read the order to me he was irritated. Then I paid him but tipped too little and he was gone without saying thank you. Very rude.

Was recently with 3 other people there and had dinner. The service was friendly and had an amusing grin on the face: D. As a snack before eating, we got Indian giant chips .. we did not know exactly what it was, but it tasted similar to a salty potato chip.The food tasted good and was plentiful. In the overall impression a good restaurant.

Very friendly service from Estonia. However, eating a disaster (two different soups, two different main courses). My food was still ok, but we immediately complained to my wife (much too dry and the homemade cheese in the rice tasted like rubber at best), but no alternative was offered at first. Then came the calculation: everything was fully settled! I didnt see that and asked the boss. This said in a sense: Unlucky; everyone else would like the dish; he would have produced it as ordered and the costs have now arisen and since the invoice was printed there was nothing he could do for us except a schnapps on the house. We thankfully rejected this generous offer - never again to the India Gate: We had to pay over € 50 for this meal - very clear: this restaurant is tourist rip off !!

Best Indian in all of Leipzig from the food quality just like Indian Palaces and the Indian in Delitzscher Strasse

Nice Indian restaurant with friendly and very attentive service. There is a business lunch at reasonable prices until 17:00. Of course, these are smaller portions, but you get full. There is nothing to complain about about the taste and the feel of the dishes, the decorative salad blob on the outside of the plate was rather annoying, especially since the cucumber slices were dry. All in all, still recommended, especially if you want it to be quick.

Thali - food as I know it from India. Its almost impossible.

Excellent tandoori chicken. I became aware of the restaurant through the website and was thrilled. Also the mango lassi tasted totally fresh. As a true sharp fan one has considered my special request. For me in Leipzig the best Indian. I can recommend him with a clear conscience!

Delicious and super fast service

Everything goes very fast: When I wanted to change the order something else, the waiter was still at the table, he said that is no longer possible, the order is already online in the kitchen. Well! The food: spicy as promised, but only spicy, none of the famous flavors of Indian cuisine! Totally uninspired. Even the papadum was choppy, so days old. It is not enough for the waiter to wear a turban. Not so good!
