The place is located right at the confluence of Indus and Zanskar rivers. Here you can see closer views of River zanskar merging with indus river. Views from this point are really amazing and gives ample opportunities to click some stunning pictures. The cafe here offers meals, snacks and refreshments at reasonable prices. One can try momos, maggie, noodles, honey ginger tea, etc. at this place. Also, there are vendors who make arrangements for river rafting, so if you are interested in some adventure then you can definitely go ahead and book for a thrilling rafting sesion on zanskar or indus river. Washrooms are available but in a very bad state, so better to avoid.

Easily one of the most picturesque cafe in India, yes, the whole country. It is right on the river banks of Zanskar and Indus and aptly named Sangam because it sits right at the Sangam of these two rivers! I wouldnt recommend the food too much, but the place has great photo ops and of course excellent rafting opportunities which keep getting better every year! There are changing rooms, washrooms, decent snacks and drinking water. There is always tourists around so expect some crowd to always be there, but its still a place to relax and unwind

This cafe is located at the junction point of river Indus and Janskar in ladakh and that is why this cafe was named as Sangam cafe. This a typical ladakhi cafe with simple decor. It offers tea, coffee and snacks to the tourists who visit this spot to see the confluence. The scenic beauty of this point is excellent and tourists could easily spend some time here to savour the beauty of surroundings.

Food is an average on road side cafes. They offer vegetarian buffet which is an average qlty of food mainly consisting mix vegetables and yellow lentils. Mainly they offer rice but bit reluctant to offer chapattis. This is the place where two Rivers meet and form Indus river water of which further flows to Pakistan. Good for rafting and canoeing.

Here you can enjoy the river rafting on Zanskar river. Three types of distance are available, 7 km / 14 km / 21 km. Everyone has to take a chance of rafting over here. You will get very exciting and thrilling experience of the rafting. Wetsuit, helmet, paddle is included in the package but you have the clarify it in advance. The transportation is also provided but you have to pay extra for it.Very good and comprehensive training is conduct before starting the rafting.

More than the cafe part, it is a rafting junction on the river Indus/Zanskar. They have about three options for rafting. The confluence of the two rivers at this point is really very beautiful. Even if you decide not to go for rafting, you can just sit in any of the rafts here and have some photographs. It is a pleasure to watching the rafters return after their ride. The cost is quite expensive.

The Zanskar River is a north-flowing tributary of the Indus. In its upper reaches, the Zanskar has two main branches. First of these, the Doda, has its source near the Pensi-la 4,400 m (14,400 ft) mountain-pass and flows south-eastwards along the main Zanskar valley leading towards Padum, the capital of Zanskar. The second branch is formed by two main tributaries known as Kargyag river, with its source near the Shingo La 5,091 m (16,703 ft), and Tsarap river, with its source near the Baralacha-La. These two rivers unite below the village of Purne to form the Lungnak river (also known as the Lingti or Tsarap). The Lungnak river then flows north-westwards along a narrow gorge towards Zanskars central valley (known locally as gzhung khor), where it unites with the Doda river to form the main Zanskar river. This river then takes a north-eastern course through the dramatic Zanskar Gorge until it joins the Indus near Nimmu in Ladakh.

Sangam Valley is a 48 kilometre drive from Leh and is the confluence of the rivers Indus and Zanskar. Just the view of Sangam Valley from the road above it can make you swoon in ecstasy. The frozen rivers looks like osum. From the top if you see it looks like fantastic. Enjoyed a lot at sangam point. We walked on the frozen rivers sangam place.

The confluence of the rivers Zanskar and Indus creates a very interesting mix of colours which can be viewed from the Sangam Cafe. The cafe provides hot beverages as well as soft drinks along with snacks such as thukpa. Along with this, it also runs a rafting service and happens to be the WORLDS HIGHEST RAFTING POINT. Rafting here is a wonderful experience and is not to expensive either. The guides have a GoPro camera attached to their helmet and record the entire experience-which I thought was a wonderful idea. I recommend stopping by at Sangam Cafe if youre a tourist in Ladakh

Its the confluence of River Zanskar with River Indus. From here onwards, river zanskar loses its identity and becomes part of Indus river which flows down to Pakistan before draining itself out in Arabian Sea. Rafting and Kayaking is also available here. Its one of the worlds highest rafting centre. Water remains very cold throught the year. During the winter the Zanskar river freezes partially and one can trek to Padum Zanskar over this river. This trek is known as Chadar trek.
