First time going there as a date with my boyfriend and we had a great time, not only the place is beautiful but the food was amazing! Very good portions, tasteful and colourful is what I’d use to describe Gatto Matto! You have to try the grilled octopus and lamb chops!

Nice environment, good for a Friday night. Music and Tv with sports. We ordered Gnocchis and Gemelli Funghi, both were good, Gemelli were better (for my taste). Caesar drink was big and well done, balanced and consistent throughout the entire time. If you order the Caesar beware of the vase 😉

Very nice a cozy place to be for special lunch/diner! The 🍟 with garlic ans parmasan are to die for. Weve had the Mac & cheese and pizza, they are delicious are very tastyWell be back for sure!

This is one of my favourite restaurants! I always enjoy the cocktails, appetizers, meals, and desserts. The service is also always wonderful. We were served by Pascal who was amazing and funny! Will definitely come again soon!

Food was great and it is a beautiful restaurant but… service was SLOW, getting our bill took forever and leaving the parking garage is very complicated. I give a 4 because the food and cocktails are great but I’m not sure if it’s worth the trouble!

Such a beautiful place to go with friends or any event. Food and drinks are delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive. It has a great ambiance. The decor is trendy and everything’s just amazing about this place.The only downside is, after visiting other restaurants,this restaurant is not Covid friendly, you won’t find that plexiglass in between tables, thus you might want to be vaccinated or make sure you bring your sanitizer along.Besides that it is an amazing restaurant to go to.

I’m giving this place 3 stars because honestly my pizza was amazing! Unfortunately my friend ordered a ravioli plate at 23$ with 10 raviolis on her plate (not a joke). It’s pretty overpriced noting the fact that it was just cheese and bacon ravioli nothing fancy! My advice: stay away from the pasta and order pizza because they are great !

Last night 7/15/2021 was my second time at Gatto Matto. I made a reservation for 9 people and got there 30 min. Even if we were a big group of people who showed up late and with kids, their service was excellent. The staff people are so kind, patient and respectful. They made sure we were all confortable and were so accommodating with the kids. Our waitress Tatiana was so sweet, soooo patient and so helpful with the menu! Unlike the other places, they didn’t make us feel a tiny bit bad for being late and we have a great evening. Thank you Tatiana, and the rest of Gatto Matto staff!And for the food.... I can’t wait to go back!!! No words on how delicious it was, yumm!!!!!

Highly recommend this place. We went twice already and love it. The food is great and the prices are right . Their Mac n cheese is wow. . And this restaurant is super family friendly. Great service from all the waiters we had.

Guys, the grilled octopus is phenomenal!! I am seriously converted by this dish. I am among the hundreds of person who thought: bleh... octopus, its expensive, and its chewy like gum. Lord heaven was I wrong, the texture was like a plump lobster, naturally sweet with a nice hint of smokey/char all enhanced with this nice creamy & tangy tomato sauce, the mint was the cherry on top. Pizza was flavorful, the crust was nicely thin and had a good chew. The pasta was nicely seasoned with a touch of heat, also perfectly al-dante. Overall a wonderful experience and an eye opening entrée. The only downside is the overly loud music.. gave a headache at the end of my meal but I guess thats the whole bar ambiance theme they going with.

Beautiful atmosphere. I ordered the octopus as a starter and it was delicious! A little spicy, so be careful for those with low tolerance to spice. I had the tagliatelle rose as a main and it was very tasty and generous amount. One of the best amaretto sours Ive tried, good music, overall nothing bad to say.

Awsome experience! The service by our waiter Martin was impeccable and the food was excellent. The drinks were also very good and well blended with good amounts of actual alcohol. If youre looking for a place to have fun and to bring your partner out, Gatto Mato is a perfect choice.

Service and food here is amazing! Mac & Cheese is always a must when I come to this restaurant. This is perfect for outdoor dining because the sunsets here are beautiful. Come on a sunny sunset! Everything and service is amazing. I give Pascal and the food a 5 star review.

You go there for the vibe. You want good music, you want to talk with your friends and overall have good food.The service is not especially good, the waitress didnt start by asking us if wed like anything she just told us straight away to tell her when we want to order which was odd because she hadnt come to present herself once. Guess it was just easier this way. It took 30 minutes to receive our food and 30 to order it. The service is advertised as 2h max but 2 h minus 10 minutes we still didnt have our food.I had great company anyways so I didnt really mind. Dont expect quick service and particularly delightful bites. The food is good, the ambiance is nice, go if youre looking for a place to have fun !

Nice trendy decor. We sat near the bar and didnt find the music too loud. The booths are in a pink velvet fabric, nice touch with the floral wallpaper. The prices are a little high, but, food was fantastic. We went for a much needed girls night out and Gatto Matto didnt disappoint. I would definitely return.

Burrata entrée and the Spitz were a fun time.The main dishes were not so great taking into consideration that it is Italian cuisine, did not feel as authentic as expected. The pizza was okay, a little overpriced for what it actually was. The pasta with mint leaves on top was interesting but not amazing.The 4 stars are really for the ambiance and the great drinks + entrée.Major downside right now (July 2021), there’s a major condominium construction right outside the restaurant which is not a very pleasant view.

Gatto Matto is a really nice restaurant, a little bit pricey, but the dishes are exceptionally good. The charred cauliflower appetizer was amazing, the lobster spaghetti, veggie pizza and mussels all had unique and different flavours from your everyday Italian food. The service overall was good , except for the end of the meal, when it came time to pay the bill. The waitress was visibly upset when we had only tipped her 15%...the credit card machine suggested 15%, 18%, or other, so I put 15%, which I guess is not enough?? Am I supposed to tip 50%!?? What was she expecting, to win the lotto? I really didnt appreciate the way she reacted when she saw the tip...not even a thank you or have a good night...she just grabbed the credit card machine made a strange face and walked away.

Pascal was so awesome!!! He was super friendly and gave us great food recommendations. He went above and beyond in also giving us bar recommendations nearby!!! A great experience.

The food quality was very good, impressed by the quick kitchen and the detail oriented plates.The two cons I can mention:1. The initial wait time to take our order as well as deliver our drinks was slightly delayed, however this was acceptable given that there was a show at the Bell Center and the neighboring restaurant/bar was closed for a private event (busy night).2. Another con was the dip that came with the calamari. While the sauce itself was tasty, paired with the calamari it was odd. I would suggest an aioli or garlic mayo dip instead. Im not reducing the 5 star because the sauce alone was good.

We ordered the arancini and calamari to start off - no complaints here. Main shared dishes - Gnocchi and Calabrese pizza. The gnocchi was ok but felt heavy and had a distinct taste, either you like it or dislike it. I felt the safest choice would’ve been the Mac & Cheese. Pizza was tasty, just a little salty.Overall, great experience

Staff is super friendly and respectfulI went there with a friend and we wanted to share our meals to try as many and the waiter gave us both utensils to eat all the meals. Also we were curious about some drinks and the bartender gave us lots of useful and accurate information

My 1 star is for the management, the service was terrible but it was not the staffs fault, they havent been trained correctly, we had a table of 14 people and they had no idea what to do, couldnt even remember to refill water glasses. We stopped ordering drinks because they either wouldnt come or would take 20 mins. Food was great but owner needs to fire his managers and retrain staff.

Nice restaurant and our waitress was super nice but thats it. Reservations were at 8 we didnt get our main dishes before 11. Absolutely terrible, luckily we were in good company.

The food here was AMAZING. Pizza crust was 10/10 and the pasta was cooked to perfection. Service was amazing and waiters and restaurant staff went the extra mile for our comfort. They’re also great at observing COVID-19 rules and we felt very safe.Didn’t know this was here and now I can’t wait to come back!

Overall, an ok experience. The restaurant serve italian food mostly and the service is great. However, the food lack flavor and do not differentiate itself from other italian restaurants of the same type that I have been to. Too bad as it is very well located in the same building as the amphitheatre Bell in Laval. Parking was a bit of an hassle as well.

Great pizza. Love the parmesan fries. The pasta plates are really good too. The decor is nice and staff friendly and helpful.

Beautiful space and concept! The food was just OK..the grilled octopus was very dry and the rigatoni was cold. The pizza was good. Giving it 3* because of the service. It was Tuesday @ 9PM and the place literally had 5 tables. I had to ask for water and napkins numerous times. The Venetian Bellini was good and as for our pitcher of sangria, it was too sweet and tasted like juice. Willing to give it another try.

Ordered fried octopus as a main course for my birthday but didnt receive it. I called them and they said the Uber driver took the wrong bag, which is not true because the rest of the order was correct.

Okay it has been a while since I last enjoy such amazing italian food! We had the tomato and burata salad with pesto, gnocchi with truffle and pizza with funghi. The food delicious!!

By far the best quality takeout I’ve had in a while. We ordered using Uber Eats.The food tasted as if we were at the restaurant, using high quality ingredients. We were so impressed, and we will definitely order again and support their business. Trust me, you will not be disappointed.

My pizza was delicious. The waitress was too fast, rushy and pushy and forgot to take my children’s order, after receiving the kid’s dishes, the spaghetti was over cooked and mushy. Also they ran out of prosecco. Otherwise beautiful decor, note that kids can’t sit on the pink booths.

Excellent food in an excellent ambiance

Really great evening with some friends from USA. They had braised beef and polenta which they loved. I had the grilled octopus and a radicchio endive salad (pictured) that were both recommended by our server Karla, much appreciated thank you. Both were awesome. The tahini with the salad was incredible. The gelato ranks as top I have ever had. Thanks as well to the hostess who made my friends jealous with that smile she kept flashing at me, ha.

Went there a couple of times. My new favourite go to place in Laval. Deco is beyond beautiful. Very retro and chic. We were a group of 5 girls. Service was good, despite the restaurant being packed. Took a couple of plates and shared everything. Food was very tasty, plus they had a DJ playing amazing music. I definitely recommend Gatto Matto.

Honestly, what a beautiful restaurant. Good food, friendly staff, they offer valet service. But, on Saturdays...I would never come back because of the super loud music. I even thought that they had a dance floor, but no. It is a restaurant that plays loud music. I left restaurant without even having a desert because it was impossible to talk... Really bad.

Very poor service. Our server was rude; drop a drink and didnt bring back any napkins to xlean the table Did not check to see how we wete doing. Took 40 minutes to get our food and didt inform our table that the kitchen was closed wheb asked for dessert to celebrate a birthday.

WELCOMING staff! Wonderful atmosphere. Very cool pastel themed decor and spacious. Menu had quite the assortment of almost a fusion of Mediterranean styles of food. Ask if there are specials because sometimes a bottle of wine at half off is too irresistible

This has been one of my best places in Laval.. The ambience that you see in pictures, totally lives up the expectation. The decor and vibe of the place is great. We ordered a couple of appetizers and mains, they were all delicious and fresh. Service was excellent !! And their manager Rita is the sweetest :) i am definitely coming here again!!

Very expensive for nothing, the worst service I ever seen in a resturant

This is my second visit at Gatto Matto. What a beautiful restaurant. Not a typical restaurant that you can find in Laval. The decor and details are well thought. My first visit was at the beginning when they first opened and the experience then was okay. But now, my second visit exceeded all my expectations. The food and service was outstanding. Staff very friendly and helpful.I will definitely recommend this place to others.

Went for a friends bday. The food was great, the atmosphere was awesome... the DJ was phenomenal! Awesome place. Close to home. Going back this weekend. You will fall in love with the decor. Feels good to have a trendy place in Laval.. not always MONTREAL :)

Best restaurant I have been to in Laval. The quality and originality of the food is top notch. Service was fantastic, food came in a reasonable time and waiter was great; knew the menu well and was very helpful in helping us pick our meal and pair it with the right wine. I would go back any time!
