Sushi not fresh at all. Ive had $2 sushi better than this. And this is supposed to be high-end?Ordered the big Nigiri platter, Salmon Roll and Teriyaki Chicken. Disappointing. Only Edamame were any good.Never coming here again.Staff were professional.

Great Sushi and Tepanyaki. Place can be a bit crowded at time, but good atmosphere. The seating quite limited at the moment, so best to book in advance before you go.

The dynamite sushi was bomb. The presentation was nice.

One of the finest in Lahore. Dynamite sushi is a must try. All menu items are delicious especially steaks, teriyaki, teppanyaki, sea food. Their complimentary dessert and welcome drink is a nice gesture. Staff is professional and friendly. Great ambiance.

Update:31st July 2021I was absolutely appalled by the behaviour of your staff today. I came to Sumo after checking availability and waiting half an hour and we refused seating as other customers were on their way. Those customers never arrived during our time there. Moreover, the manager nonchalantly said to us that “we seated you and you are only going to order this much?” as if they were doing us a favour or something. He kept urging us to order more in order to validate us even being there. No complimentary dessert was offered either and we were treated very badly. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in your services and will not be visiting again or recommending this bigoted restaurant to anyone.Previous review:Had the pleasure of visiting along with family, found the staff to be extremely courteous and accommodating. Food was cooked to perfection and overall ambiance is good despite the restaurant being very dimly lit. Really enjoyed the complimentary drink and desserts! 👌🏻Overall 8/10

Made a reservation beforehand. The manager (I think) was very friendly and welcoming, true gentleman. It actually does add a lot to the dining experience. They seem eager to serve you. We were welcomed with a lemonade, and ordered a Poke Maki and a kyoto curry. I had sushi after the longest time and I just loved theirs! Tried penthouse and that does not compare. They said kyoto curry would be savoury and sweet, believe that its pretty sweet and listen to their recommendations. I would love to try other things next time. I cannot recall what the dessert was called but it was on the house and tasted all the more sweet. Cant wait to go back there!

One of the best restaurants in Lahore, in terms of quality and the competency of staff. The staff gave us two free desserts and welcome drinks. The meals themselves were excellent and large in terms of size. 15/10. Loved this restaurant!

Ordered Prawn Tempura, Spicy Salmon Roll, Dynamite Roll, Shrimp Udon, and Angus Beef Teppanyaki.The best items were sushi and angus teppanyaki. Didn’t like the Udon noodles much. Highly recommend to go there for sushi if you are willing to splurge and spend 10k plus rupees.Service was a bit slow. Ambiance was nice, but dark since we were in a corner.

Sushi is amazing especially the sunset roll but they’ll be nicer to you only if you’re an elitist whose full of themselves. Their customer service is extremely poor and rude.

They served raw meat when i ordered a well done steak. When i asked them to make the rs.3500 steak well done as ordered, they just sprinkled more black pepper and gave the steak back as is. On top of that the steak was totally bland. Not worth the price at all.

Worst customer service ever. I booked a place for 3 people around 2 pm (6 hours before). Upon getting there, we found the staff to be very rude. For 10 minutes, we were just waiting for someone to even acknowledge our presence. Finally, we were led to our table which was placed in the middle of nowhere. Obviously, it was very unpleasant, so we asked them to change the seating location but the manager replied very rudely, “That is the only option you have”. That left us with no other choice but to leave. It was trivial to even reserve a table beforehand. Also, it was 31st of December so no other restaurant even had any space available. It totally ruined our night. I was expecting at least some kind of better customer service from a restaurant that charges such a substantial amount for a single meal.

Been a few times here, always a great experience. Though small but a really nice setup and ambiance. A good variety of Japanese food and the sushi is one of the best in Lahore. Make sure to call before hand for a reservation as they are mostly busy. Also love the fact that you get complimentary drinks and desserts.

Good taste, ambiance and service. Though place is bit small but you can see Good classy people dining here. There is a room for taste improvement but overall a good experience and this restaurant is recommended for dining.

You get a good feeling when you enter Sumo, the staff is welcoming, nice over all decor with a nice dim theme to it. A complementary lemonade really sets up the mood as you brisk through their rather small menu. The sushi however was a little disappointing, they could work a bit on the overall taste of it, but after that we got our chicken hibachi which was amazing ! So fresh, juicy and with just the right amount of garlic, this is a must try when you visit sumo. They gave us complementary dessert at the end which was again the most pleasant surprise, but the sushi is the only reason why they couldnt get a 5/5 on my review. Must try if you like Teppenyaki though !

Phenomenal food, excellent service, great experience.

Over rated, over priced and less than average food. Quantity for one dish was meagre and price was Rs3,500. Food was ordinary. Most people came to show off to their girlfriends. 90% people were young couple who just wanted to impress their girls with over priced food. If you are in Lahore, eat genuine Lahori food.

Its quite good. Probably best sushi in lahore (better than Gaia). Defo try the beef teppanyaki. If an udon fan, dont get the yaki udon. Get the special udon. The former seems to be made to suit ketchupy tastes.

Overpriced, average service and the food was just OK. Tried their Salmon, which was an extremely small portion, drenched in soya sauce and with no sides. The nagiri roles looked and tasted stale.The place was clean, but small and had a extensive Japanese menu.

Restaurant offers excellent Japanese food and has good variety of dishes & drinks available. I especially like their Sushi variety. Their staff is very courteous & their service is exceptional. The only downside is that they r a bit expensive than the norm!

Not only does this place serve good food, but also its a fun and interactive dining experience as well! chef kept great conversation with our table while putting on a show and preparing our food on teppanyaki. Sushi and Hibachi amazingly done,Steaks was great also,Would definitely recommend!

Expensive, cramped seating, and their sashmi made me puke. Clearly they are not properly preparing their food, and it appears that hygiene regulations are not being followed.

Best authentic Japanese and live tapnayaki, in DHA sushis are also very fresh and exquisite.

Everything including food and service were pathetic and below average. Fish in sashimi was not fresh. Taste was bad. Even rice was not cooked properly. Simply the worst Japanese food I ever had.The waiters attitude was not professional. He brought two Japanese teas instead of three. When asked he said you both can share ( me and my wife). Although he brought the third cup late on. Again he was asked for more tea and he reply was no refill without even asking that it was order for more. My advice for others would be not to waste their time and money by going there.
