Good lodge in the middle of railway station and bus stand.Room is good.But rate was little high for this facilities i.e room can be big for this price.....

Utter waste apart from the locations its right opposite to Railway station.. Cabs from hotel with horrible conditions of car thought price is decent compared to other travels surrounding by.. Few drivers are horrible from the hotel.. Water bottle from hotel MRP even its 20Rs and its illegal to charge more still they charge 32rs.. Bathroom no slippers and water colour is literally red in colour.. Frequent power cuts and cleaning staff rings bell mid-night without knowing which room the service was booked.. No coffee, No tea, Even if asked the room boy to get they look at each other face but never cooperated.. Hotel is located just next to railway track almost every hour at night engine horns disturb your sleep specially if rooms are towards right side.. Even after reminding the receptionist forgets to clean the room and have to repeatedly remind them to clean the room.. No restaurant inside which is closed and no good restaurant near by..

Vinayaga hotel is ok. Rooms are good and clean. Restaurant is closed so they ordered food from Krishna bhavan which is next to it for the free breakfast. But food is not good(I had food poison). So we requested manager to buy it from padmabhavan which is very good in quality. Thanks to the manager for accepting feedback and changed the restaurant for better food. Bathing hot water is not coming properly. Otherwise all ok. Need to improve/provide some basic amenities like cutlery, shower caps, handwash, toothbrush stand, hairdryer, moisturizer, hot water washbasin, etc...

Located just opposite to Railway station. Walkable(10 to 20 Mins) distance to Kasi Vishwanathar, sarangapani and Adi Kumbeswarar temple. The restaurant is closed due to Pandemic. They have decent open car parking and underground car parking. Room was comfortable with spring beds and neatly washed linens.. Stayed for 4 days and found both online and walkin rates are same. I didnt have the need of wifi but they may provide you if asked. Solo traveller and will consider this place for future visits.

Water flow is very low at bathroom shower, bathroom is very confused, door lock is not working, tv not working properly, bed is not questioned well, delay delivery of food and so on...

Very decent hotel bang opposite Kumbakonam Railway station. Very nice and clean hotel with good views. Quick check in; decent restaurant - however limited choice of vegetables, although the phulka rotis are top class. All the staff at the hotel - both house keeping and restaurant are genuinely courteous and helpful. During peak hours, it tends to get noisy due to the traffic on the main road. TV channels selection could be tailor-made for those who check in to their rooms. No channel we wanted to view was available.

Visited here recently with family including an infant. Clean and new appearing rooms, well maintained, neat bathrooms, courteous front office staff. Conveniently located opposite to the railway station. The price I paid also included a complementary breakfast which tasted very good.Place offers only vegetarian food which was good. Minor issue with water color being brown when I visited. The staff told me that their RO water system was undergoing maintenance, so should be fixed. I did not use any other amenities such as gym or pool etc. Bif you ate looking for good and clean rooms, convenient location and good vegetarian food (breakfast) this is a nice place I would recommend.

Hotel is just opposite to Kumbakonam Railway station. Rooms are bit small but neat and clean with all basic amenities. Breakfast is also ok with major south indian varieties to taste... No complaints. Overall a pleasant experience. would recommend for friends and families.

Bang opposite to Kumbakonam station is a plus. Stayed there during our temple visit. We didnt try their restaurant. Rooms are spacious but service is pathetic. Front Desk is quite slow. Need to call atleast twice for any request. During our stay , there was no water for bathing for 2 hours. Had to literally shout to get things done..Car Parking is cramped. At the most only 4-5 cars can be parked..Id not stay at this property again..

This hotels is really good for couples. it has car parking facility and restuarant is also attached to this hotel. The quality of the food is also good. I have attached some photos for you reference. It is very close to railway station. but we have not received much train noise in the night. Good place to stay.

The restaurant is having the looks of a 3star hotel. We had food yesterday. Being an air conditioned hall there were no windows naturally. But the A/C remained switched off. When we requested to switch it on, the person told the ceiling unit was not functioning and asked us to change our tables were another ceiling unit was in working condition. They switched it on after we changed tables. The looks and facilities dont match.The food was just ok and they had minimal menu which was overpriced for their quality.The rest room had leaky wash basin which wetted my feet!The exterior architecture, the hall ambience are impressing. But their maintenance quality is lagging and pricing is highHope they improve

Clean rooms at reasonable price situated at the heart of Kumbhakonam .One liner to describe this hotel.We were very happy with the hospitality of the staff during our two days stay at the hotel .(Most of the time we were out of the hotel exploring Kumbhakonam though).I would hav given 5 stars to them if they had a better restaurent inside the hotel. Or rather they train their restaurent staff well to handle the stress. Most of the food we had was ok . Only issue we felt was with the service.

Its a recently refurbished and renovated hotel. the main USP is its very close to railway station. the rooms were good and comfortable. the drainage was overflowing outside the hotel and it made an unpleasant experience and the stench was unbearable. also the hotel cleaned the room and changed the towels only upon repeated requests. they also need to improve the taste of the good. the WIFI was not working inside the room, simply not connecting. there are several counts underwhich the hotel can improve their service level.

We (myself, dad and mom) whole heartedly thank, Mr.Jyothilingam, Mr. Karthik and Mr. Gunashekaran for there sincerness. My mom had left a small purse 👛 containing 20thousand cash, ATM card and her 22carat gold mangalya chain (soo much right) hard to believe but she had, and when she realized, we called the staffs mentioned above and they checked and made sure that it reached us safely back. These people are my eye openers that people like these still exist.I have no words to say other than thank you, especially Mr. JyothilingamThank you sir, they are very small words for the truthfulness you show.

They gave me a room at 1 a.m. They didnt hesitate to give me breakfast when I arrived just as their kitchen was closing. The rooms are clean and are value for money. The location is an advantage as its right next to the Kumbakonam Railway Station. The breakfast that they gave me was great and the coffee that they served to me was excellent.

The hotel is located just opposite to the railway station. So for train passengers this is the best choice. The hotel is neatly built, looks attractive. There is lift facility. The underground parking is small but few vehicles could be parked nearby the hotel as there is a space adjacent to hotel. There is restaurant within the hotel. It offers good quality food but very costly. The cost of food should be lower considering the city of Kumbakonam. But since the hotel is near railway station it is not difficult to locate a restaurant outside. The room service was good but not so great. I could not find the soap and tooth paste in my room. The room is neat. There were fresh bread spread, bed sheet, pillow and towels. Nothing to complain about the amenities. Hot water was available in the morning. Overall this was a very good hotel to stay in Kumbakonam.

It was a fine place. Since its near railway station u can hear trains at some point at night and early morning not too much disturbance but one can hear if u get that side room which is opp to railway track. Stayed for 2 days in December 2019...Booking process : Online.. No hasslesLocation : Very good.. Just opposite to Railway station..Close to the kumbakonam centre..Car parking : To be improved .. Underground for 4 or 5 cars but bit cramped..Aboveground for another 4 to 5 carsRestaurant : Never tried as you have many restaurant options in Kumbakonam..But seeing the menu card kept in room feel its overpricedRooms : Rooms were fairly big with 1 complimentary water bottle, towels and toiletries. On the second day we asked to clean the room, found the room was cleaned but the towels and the dirty mat outside bathroom were not replaced. Had opted for accomodation only and hence didnt have any breakfast inside the hotel but nearby within walking distance you can find few decent restaurants as it is located just opposite to the railway station. This hotel provides only veg food and also convenient for both business travellers as well as family stay. Overall it provides a good ambience inside the room. There was a problem with the Airconditioner and when i reported they immediately attended it and when it was takkng time they gave another room for stay. Hence its overall a good hotelstay at Kumbakonam.

Food is good, but slightly expensice. For a change, a hotel in kumbakonam where you neednt fight for a seat and the staff also do not pressurise you for the next order. You relax and have you food. Nice quiet place. They serve some traditional Tamil food and also North Indian dishes. Only issue is one of the car parking area is on the road side, situated around a blind corner on the main road. While reversing your car out you need to be extra careful.

Shower pipeline got chocked, engineering guy came and clear the pipeline but he left the shower area dirty and full of muddy water in a bucket .He didnt inform housekeeping to clear shower area.Ordered Paneer butter masala it was too sweet , schewan noodle..oh horrible who makes schewan noodle with chilli powder and dry chillies? There are a lot and lot of improvements required as far as food quality is concerned.Pls dont print such a menu which u cant execute properly .Breakfast was ok . Thanks to Nithya who handled the restaurant very well. Had a conversation about the local area and she is quite capable to answer all our queries.

The rooms are highly priced. For that price you can find very good rooms nearby. The restaurant offers normal food but highly priced. The car parking entrance is not suitable for sedans. You may end up scratching the car if you dont drive very carefully. The parking area is stinky and under lit, I had to use my phone torch. Room prices varies from person to person. Better Bargain prices before booking the room. Room service is not so good.

If you ask me I would suggest that you NOT PREFER this hotel, as we had a bitter experience here. We first stepped in to this hotel to enquire the prices of the rooms; since we were not ok with it, we walked out. Suddenly one of the executives of the hotel came out following us to convince us with some affordable rates. We agreed, stayed there for a day and we were informed that the extra hours of say some two or three hours would be adjusted in the total cost but it DID NOT happen. We went around the city the next day, we were late for about two hours and we were FORCED to pay the extra amount that is equivalent to the rent for the whole day. Justifications, bargains, arguments - nothing worked and the only reason the executive told us was that he hadnt been aware of all these. Frustrated, we were finally obliged to pay the whole extra amount, just for the sake of two hours delay. Whats the point of convincing the customers who step out and make them book in your hotel? If he hadnt approached us once we came out, we would have booked some other nicer hotel. Talking about the quality of the rooms, they are 70% ok with broken faucets etc.

Recently visited Kumbakonam for a professional event. Had lunch at this place. Main the rice is not good. They dont know how to cook the rice being a South indian rice Indian. They cant give bill because their systems doesnt work properly. Not all the menu items will be available at lunch time. Kindly be double sure.. if you want to visit this place.

Decent rooms, poor hospitality, horrible & expensive food, pathetic travel desk.--We just went there for a nights stay. We wanted to visit nearby places for just couple of hours, but the travel desk (tied with some car travel agency) offered only 100km package for a base rate of Rs 2000. Since we didnt have much help, we had to agree with that... The reception team was also neither very polite nor helpful.Food was horrible, for a south Indian vegetarian foodie, unpalatable food in a town of kumbakonam was great disappointment. Surprisingly kumbakonam degree coffee was nothing more than a small cup warm water for a whopping Rs. 60/- per cup.The only good thing about this place is that its just opposite to the Railway Station and rooms are a little cheap.Needless to say you get only value for what you pay....!! Definitely wouldnt recommend to anyone.

The prices are a but high for the taste/ quality of food . Better to stick with south indian options . I would rate 2/5 for the food and 5/5 for the stay .

The worst hotel/lodge experience of my life. There was hair everywhere in the room. The place was not cleaned after the previous customer. Not cleaned or disinfected. Unclean toilets with hair and brown stagnant waters. Smelly and stained bedspread and pillows. Absolutely no complimentary toiletries.

We have stayed on 11th. Ample car parking. Its very difficult to park sedan car.Room service is too bad. Even hot water was not given for drinking despite repeated requests. Tv was not working.Even after making complaint, no one has come to rectify. Cot was making noise when you turn everytime.Morning i ordered for coffee.After half an hour, when i was remainding restaurent manager asking me again as new order. After all these horrible experience, i have requested the receptionist to meet Manager. He has not even had a courtasy to meet me.I advise others also please give your open review since you are paying more than 2000 rupees per day as tariff.

This hotel is located exactly opposite to Kumbakonam railway station. The restaurant offers nice lunch (meals). The setup is near and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
