Just awesome! We had a fun filled day at the High Chapparal. I recommend the two day ticket if you dont want to miss anything. We couldnt really cover all the activities and areas in a day.The park has interesting stuff for both kids and adults. Even their merchandise are of great quality and keepsakes.All the actors are true to thier roles and they never cease to entertain. Each nook and corner of the park sticks to the wild western theme. The real working Gold-smithy, a real steam engine from the past, the bank and the sheriffs office, gold panning activities, never ending gun shots from the visitors; everything just adds to the feel of living the cowboy dream!
Nice, but still crowded during covid restrictions. The park is large but the attractions are sort of clumped together so people spread unevenly. Some restaurants have long waiting times even with pre-order. Kids loved it though and the park is very enjoyable. The steam train was by far the best attraction, looking for gold is close second. Dalton show with line dancing was also a hit with the kids. And dont forget to robb the bank!
Not suitable for non-Swedish speaking people (because even the staff doesn’t speak English) and there weren’t any horse riding as advertised. You could definitely make the best out of it if you added some action to the shows… very disappointing!
Good and different experience. Kids enjoyed it a lot. Good for one day visit. To attract more crowd and for two days stay more activities should be added.
Great place for the whole family. For smaller kids ear protection could be good to bring. The shooting in the wild west can be loud.
Many improvements and new features have been made at this ever popular attraction. Very impressed with the new gold panning area, and with the changes that they have made to implement covid-safe opening. Very well thought out and executed. Good job!
This is one of the coolest places Ive ever seen. Its really fun there and the coworkers there are pretty funny, especially the ones on the train!
Nice day in the park, and a lot to do! But could be better to handle the trash since it was a lot of wasps flying around the trash. Not so many places to sit down and eat in the shadow. Otherwise it was really OK. 👌🥳
I went to this place every year when I was young and it was literally heaven on earth. My family and I would make it a tradition to camp here for a few days and it was the best days of the year. It was the thing we looked forward to throughout the year and we never wanted to leave. Our best memories came from this place. Highly recommended!!🇸🇪🇸🇪
Great staff, very good with children and even adult children. Only problem at the moment is that other park visitors dont understand the issues with distance between others. The park itself is good and well built. Activities like arrow shooting and axe throwing were always long queues would have been nice to see more that one of each as the kids do not want to queue so long and they get bored and want to move on. Shows were restricted and fully booked by the time I worked out how to book tickets. Overall its a fun place to visit, but now Ive been once I will not need to go back again.
This is such a mixed bag I dont know what to rate it. Shows are good, Covid appropriate, good scenery. Food is expensive compared to quality. Information mightve been the worst of all theme parks in Europe (go-to appointed area while area isnt defined, bad sync between maps/website/local signs, missing info, confusing queues, staff was more confused than I was and mostly shrugged at questions).Lot of flies and wasps, made it near impossible to eat outside at some locations.We stayed at the inn, with thin walls, bad ventilation and airplane toilets.The downplay of the native genocide was somewhat expected but still felt really wrong.Gun safety among adult actors was not compliant to theater standard.Will not visit again.
A really fun park with nice personal. When our boat sank and we didn’t have time to go they refunded our pre-booked tickets.
Fantastic Park for the kids to live out their cowboy dreams. Great for adults living out their dreams too from the looks of it. Lots of fun activities for the kids, but the playground city seems to be the funnier choice for the kids. Shows are fairly good and the train ride wad great fun. Upon exit I was separated from two of my kids and it proved very hard to get back inside to get them. None of the employees outside the gate could or would help me. I had to find my own way inside. I cant imagine this being the first time so this should be routine. Food is overpriced and really not that good, but the Mexican food was good. The leather holsters that we bought two years ago are still good and survived this season too even though the pistols did not. Anyways, we spent two days and enjoyed every minute. Lots of great people make this possible. Will be back next year.

We always enjoy our trip to High Chaparral, have been coming for the past 5 years and each year the shows are different and there is lots to do. Dont underestimate how long the kids will want to play in the mini western town (take a book to read ;-) )I would also recommend buying the toy guns here as they are much better quality than you will find in the toyshops.

The kids liked it, but you leave with a feeling of having been ripped off. Everything costs extra and prices in the park are generally very expensive. The pool area was free but the pool probably was about 22 degrees. Showers were low preassure and cold water. Lavatories stank and were dirty. The food was ok, but no where nere worth the price. If you go, make sure you buy your kids fake revolvers before going, since youll end up paying 100 SEK per Gun and standing in a 40 minute queue otherwise. Bring snacks and drinks unless you want to pay 28 SEK for a soft drink or sparkling water. Id say not worth the money.
The park is great but DO NOT order food via the web. They promote this so that people dont have to stand in line. Buuuut....if you do, you will have to wait forever. It takes much longer than to wait in line. 13 orders was before mine and it took 55 (!!!) minutes for 2 guys to get to my order.Note that these 2 guys only had to pack the food, not cook it. And you could see a lot of hamburgers in the stand behind them waiting to be served. So it took them almost 8 min to pack each order. Improvement is desperately needed.
A great place for kids between 5-12. A really cool and well built environment with good shows. Especially the wild west stunt show with real stunt mans (its like in the movies). But not suited for people with sensible ears due to the cowboy shows and all the kids running around with cap guns. I can really recommend this to families thats seeking alternatives to Legoland, Astrid Lindgrens world and Kolmården. Dont forget to buy your kids cap guns and shot rings (sold in the park).
Great park, if you are a bit into the Cowboy & Ind.. eh.. native american thing. Good attractions, professional actors in the plays and great walk-ons. It gives some insight in the life of the old timers.I really liked the native american show. When next to she singing, dancing and fighting warrior, you get some more respect of how the opponent was than often experienced in the movies.You should not be too vary of the sound if play-guns fired. Many of the kids were like in a trance, running and shooting all the time... and encuraged to it during some of the shows. Most noisy park ever. We loved it. 😊

A lot of fun for kids and grown up kids 😄. The environment, personnel and their costumes very convincing. The food quality in the restaurant we ate was not good enough. So one star less than top grade.

Very nice experience! Even in the shows they made aware that people were supposed to keep distance. And several hand sanitizer dispensers in the busiest areas.
Fun place for the kids. Its like beeing at a huge playground with a cowboy theme.Unfortunately there is little to do inside the park and the few rides/attractions are extra fee.Worth one visit but I wouldnt go again as its expensive with not so much to do.

Cowboys and cowgirls ( and ear plugs)Prepare for a day of shows, steam engines and shooting... And in between shooting by all the kids. Get your kids a pink gun or your prejudice about gunowners confirmed. The food is ok, better information and a suggested route would have helped. We stayed at the camping where you can enjoy more shooting by the kids. Dogs are allowed but should be pretty calm or death. Beware that a lot of visitors dress out so you never know who is part of the excibit. Enjoy
This is the worst experience I have had. So far over the so called COVID quota, front desk like a money machine as folks just packed in. Can’t move, can’t get access to anything without long waits. The service in the restaurants doesn’t leave anything to the imagination that guests are an unwelcome part of the daily life. Clearly a venue run by teenagers on summer vacation and cashed in by adults. For your own sanity stay far, far away from this place.
Nice park. Although very expensive. My five year old had to pay as much as an adult and wasnt even old enough to do all activities.

Its a great place to let the kids run away with their imagination and become a cowboy or Indian or Zorro for the day. The staff are very happy to get involved and interact with the kids and make it a magical place for all. With plenty of shows during the day and plenty to explore, I would say you might need more than one day here. Easy to find, easy to park,great day out for the family!

Great place to be with kids. Kids really enjoyed the theme park and had the greatest time. This is a nice park to go for 1 day with family.
A very fun place for grownups who like to dress up like cowboys /girls and show off in the outfit and to meet likeminded people.Also for parentes to play and Bond with children.Be warned: there is a few places with high noice that could be harmful, so dont be shy on using air pluggs for yourself and your children.

Really good fun for local families, but not so much for international tourists. Although the staff all speak English and are very accommodating and helpful, all of the events and live action performances are in Swedish. We suspected as much before we bought the tickets, but assumed that there would be some indication on the brochure or the website. The whole place is put together really well regardless, and its amazing how the local families that attend all dress up and really commit to the theme as well!
The best place for kids. Once a year Im inviting my brothers children for adventure :-)

I guess that I would need to go to the US to get it more genuine. The train trip is great with that real(!) steam engine. A lot to see and experience. Took us two days!But, of course, it comes with a price tag.

Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area. Family friendly Wild West theme park with variety of shows and attractions.
Fun for the kids but it is so unorganized and unstructured that it is a pain to visit. Long lines due to inefficient handling of customers. Even if you prepay you have to stay in line due to them being to cheap to have more then one person for ticket handling.All stores and restaurant is a marvel of bad handling of lines and service.Cleaning up on tables etc. its not existing.
Not mutch to do. A 10 min trip on a boat or a train, that is it.
We were there before high season and without children. Nevertheless it was a funny day.The only downside was that the shows were only in swedisch. I wouldnt mind though, if at least the basic plot of the shows could be read in english, e.g. in a brochure.Know that all payments in the park are only cashless!
Nice shows and playgrounds for the kids. Real stream engine train and a river boat. Most of the things are free besides the train and gold mining
