Divlit Volcano, Kula volcanism is located on the Gediz Trough, one of the largest tectonic pits of the Aegean Region extending from east to west. Especially in Kaplan and Sandal villages and in the north of Kula district, volcanic cones, old volcanic structures, lava plateaus, lava flows, cornices, Kırgıbayır and fairy chimneys are seen on volcanic and lake sediments.After entering the road from Salihli to Demirci and going for about 25 kilometers to the northeast, two volcanic cones, one big and the other small, are seen on the shore of Demirköprü Dam Lake. It creates an interesting view with the large cone called Çakallar Tepesi or Divlittepe by the local people and the blue waters of the Küçük Divlit dam lake, which is about 1 kilometer away. The hill on the slope of which the abandoned Çakallar village is located is the youngest occurrence of the Kula volcanism and there are footprints of people who lived 10-12 thousand years ago in this area.

The youngest volcanoes of Anatolia, which were active 11 thousand years ago, are in this region. Its as if the lava had cooled down just yesterday. The only geopark of our country is in this region, in Kula. There is a walking path from a shaded area to the Divlit volcano cone. It goes up to the top of the volcano.

Ive been on my way for years, but I hadnt noticed it. a extinct volcano under the name geopark. I think there are plenty of places to visit around. Geopark covers it all. They made a ladder for people to go upstairs, but when you get 650m you get tired, so its not suitable for young children and very old people. When you reach the top, a beautiful landscape welcomes you. You can walk around the crater if you want, but Im already told that 800m is not that tiring, but the road doesnt end. I gave it 4 stars because I think I might have seen a little snake ver. I think that it is necessary to take precautions for this because it is a disturbing situation both for people and for animals that have nestled there.

There is no attendant, but there is a building and a parking lot Geopark is very beautiful and big. The exit to the big crater is made by a beautiful wooden path. The best wooden path Ive ever seen. No trees were harmed. Well done to whoever did a complete expert job. We only found an information board, and we couldnt read anything from it.
