This is no longer a shopping mall. It has become more of a peoples place with a nice and big food court, with an existing bouldering gym and dance/yoga studio. Coming soon are the co working spaces, dessert and coffee, whisky bar. Currently there are a few other shops and businesses here too.

The Hills is basically the second place that university students would go apart from the State Library of course in which to do their assignments, etc and became a Hot Spot these days... This particular place has a relaxing and chill surrounding which have various options of food to choose from as well as the drinks. The Hills is a part from the Pullman Hotel in which underneath the Hotel itself. Hence, its a great place for OOTD especially for the younger generation in Kuching and for the tourists as well...

Honestly, I really had high hopes for this shopping mall in Kuching, especially when it is built together with the Pullman Kuching. However, over the years, the Hills Shopping Mall has just gone downhill.A lot of vendors have moved out due to no one coming here. Right now, there are a few restaurants, a Mr.DIY, a Karaoke, a type of meeting-space cafe and some other shops.Until the mall owners seriously do something, it will remain as a ghost mall in Kuching, something like Tun Jugah Mall.I suggest that the owners focus on the youth by revamping the mall to cater to todays lifestyle concept. Imagine a mall with smaller retail shops that are cheap and short term rentals, selling unique items and so on. (Like those speciality malls in Bangkok)There is so many things that can be done to revive a mall, but end of the day, they always want to charge high rental according to market rates, and this will be the downfall...as it is now.So, if you are in Kuching, dont bother making your way here unless there is a specific shop you are looking for.

Still under renovation with many shops were not yet ready to operate. The surrounding was very noisy because of the construction works inside the mall. Please be patient with that. I believe that many exciting things are yet to come to The Hills. So, stay tuned for more.

If you’re looking for a shopping mall; this is not it. However, if you’re into bouldering & wall climbing, there is a small bouldering gym on the lower ground floor which is a great for an afternoon workout.

The shopping lot is once a thriving shopping lots well occupied by tenants, but as years gone by, tenants gradually exit from the plaza though the 4 or 5 stars hotel with many rooms are enjoying a good rating for their guests. The only attraction that drew me there is the popular DIY tenant occupying a large space in The Hills. The current food outlets are getting better biz atmosphere due to its different food stalls operating below the hotel. Give a try, you may love them!

Visited the hills for the Small Town Art Market event and it was a pretty enjoyable experience. There was also a rock climbing exhibition within the foyer as well as various set of performances. But one can see how dead the place might be after an event is over, but I could be wrong. A plus is that there is a Mr. DIY store here as well.

Place is almost empty and as a mall, it really is sad to see it being so empty.Theres a food court here which is not bad, but just worries about the survival rate of the stalls, as some had already closed due to lack of business. Its a great place of open concept where you can come here and work as a mobile warrior. Will cost less than being at cafes, but you will need to have your own internet though. The mall is quiet and has a Mr. DIY which is convenient for me, and also a Karaoke centre. Overall, as a mall, it has flop, but as a place to have some quiet place to work while out of office, great place. Hope it can sustain to continue to provide for the mobile workforce.
