This place was so amazing, I stayed there for five days and nights!! I had a great time with my family, I was on room 629. From Monday to Friday. On Friday, I had my birthday inside. It was the best!!! I played my Nintendo Switch with my siblings and went to the shopping mall nearby, I had an amazing view of the waterfront!! It was all clear and beautiful. I had so much fun there. I had breakfast on floor 4 every morning. I was there from 5 October until 9 October. Thank you for all the things I remembered during my stay there with my famlily. I had a very good time. ^v^

The hotel is located right in the centre of Kuching City enabling you access to numerous shops and restaurants around. Properly maintained pedestrian walkways around this area means you can even walk to the places you want to visit from the hotel. The hotel room itself is spacious, very clean and equipped with all necessary facilities. You’ll have access to major Astro Channels from the hotel rooms. If you feel lazy to go out, the hotel is linked directly to a shopping mall called Plaza Merdeka where’s there’s plenty of choices for food. The shopping mall’s food court can be accessed from level 4 of the hotel. The level 4 also has a bar if you choose to chill out after a tiring day out. Overall it’s a clean, well maintained hotel with friendly staffs.

It was amazing. They have sahoor/breakfast because its fasting month right now and the food was amazing as well. The hairdryer is the best quality. They have bath robes, hotel room service foods you can order. Every facility is complete. I just dont know how to watch the tv tho and I didnt ask because I brought my own laptop. It was a pleasant staycation for me which food is accessable in the Plaza Merdeka Mall.

Everything was fine and dandy! Except the parking. Was staying at a double deluxe room which can fit 4 person. Last time no matter how many of you drive and park at the basement, as long as you stay there you can get complimentary parking.But with the new parking system, suddenly ONLY ONE car can get complimentary parking (Basement Parking) for ONE Room. The rest of the guest in that one room will have to pay for their own parking at a normal rate.We were not even given the fix rate of RM 4 which they usually give to those who attend any events that is being held there. We were charged RM 9 for each car. Though not a big amount to some, but the fact that we were staying there in which previously we could be entitled to get free parking, disappoints us.So, Esp for the locals who are planning for a staycation here. I suggest you go over with one car or just use Taxi/Grab.

Fantastic facilities, hotel room are just fabulous. Breakfast menu could be better though considering my food allergies dietary. Merdeka shopping arcade is adjoining to the hotel which is a big plus to this hotel.

Just to settle a parking ticket, needs urgent consideration from management for a working solution. A counter dedicated to paying ticket or use automated system. Fix this problem and I will award a star for improvement

It was 2nd time i stayed at this hotel. The location is quite nice. If you are choosing river view for your room,you can watch the fountain infront of DUN building at night. The Merdeka Plaza shopping mall only next to the hotel. You can walk there through door from lobby. The hotels staff friendly. So far, it is one of best hotel at Kuching downtown.

Stayed over with my family and its totally a good experience. The staffs are friendly (and the cat is adorable too! She accompanied us from the start till the end, Im going to miss her a lot) The view from our room is satisfying, we managed to see the water fountain from here. The food provided is also good. Good job!

This hotel’s service is at another level. We have been traveling with our 1.5yr old daughter and while in Kuching the staff helped us out so well with everything. The breakfast is great and so are the rooms. In all honesty, best hotel we stayed at in terms of service over the past two months of travel!

The hotel is clean and comfortable. Next to a shopping mall with easy access. Breakfast spread is OK, food quality if good. They have club rooms with lounge benefits. Lounge cocktail in the evening 5pm to 7pm was good. Snacks and drinks.

Quite OK so far. Checkin at 3. Book from agoda at RM240 /nite. Unpleasent smell come from the carpet i guest.. Cheap rate with bad view. Or nothing to see at all... Haha.. Non Family friendly . No under 2 years or so allowed to enter the pool.Very helpful houeskeeping staff. Groundstaff.. and restaurant waitress is friendly too. Their will give you at very best offer their can to make sure your stay here will memoriable.During RMCO. Pools close for children.

Hotel staff are amazing! Polite, friendly, very quick and reaponsive when needed. Room wifi was good unlike some 4-star international standard hotel nearby. Very comft bed and spacious bathroom! The river view was from our room on 9th floor was spectacular at night. Will come and stay here again!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel, due to the location of being so close to the Kuching Marathon start point. However, from the check in, it was obvious that the hotel was not prepared to handle such large crowds, and it took us almost an hour to get our room. The room was spacious and clean, but was upset to see a large crack in the washbasin of the toilet. The shower was powerful which was great. The towels probably need upgrading, some were frayed at the edges. The location of the hotel is very convenient, connected to the mall, easy to get food and other necessities. The pool was too small, and not really a relaxing spot. View from our room was amazing, of the river.

Excellent location thats within walking distance to many attractions include an adjoining mall.The hotel lives up to the citys namesake with cats in the premises, including one whos always lying on the bell boys trolley.Only one major let down is the sluggish lifts that can nearly cope with normal passenger volume. When there are events held in the hotel, the wait can be unbearable

Its a OK hotel, not bad but not fantastic either. Quite clean and despite its young age, it felt dated. Amenities, ambiance and service are just meh. For price paid i suppose you cant expect too much so its fine. Breakfast however, can improve much much more. Rather than trying to provide everyone with everything at sub-mediocre level, perhaps one can do with much less but yet perhaps at an unforgettable height. I would recommend skipping the hotel breakfast package and hunt for your own local delicacies instead.

The bed sheet and blanket got tiny termite biting me the whole night very dirty maybe disnt change after the last guest check out.

Room is big and comfortable. Breakfast provided is not too shabby. Room rates are too pricey (5stars price) though as I feel it didn’t have the feel, it should be cheaper, I would rate it a 3.5 stars establishment Overall it’s a good hotel. I had a comfortable stay.

A short break with the family. The buffet breakfast is so so. The location is good, near the water front with Merdeka Plaza adjacent to it. India Street at the back. Service was good.

Love the hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Well situated near to complex and overlooking the waterfront, and Kuchings place of attractions. Can watch the fountain display at 8.30pm and 9.30pm. Will definitely recommend friends and other tourist to stay here.

The service was abit suck.. which means i book for 4 person.. after i check in to the reception.. they said the room for 4 person was not aviable.. only for 3 person.. which means they give us extra bed that totally very hard to sleep.. what kind of service is this? I will no more choose this hotel next time..

The service was exceptional from friendly and courteous staff. Internet was reliable. We didnt use the pool although it looks clean and surrounding areas were well kept. Location was a plus for shopping, entertainment and food!

Friendly helpful staff, located very near the waterfront and the centre of town with a mall beside it and across the street from a quiet Chinatown.The reason I gave it 3 stars is because I thought it was going to be better especially seeing as I booked it because of the great reviews.One of things I wasn’t keen on was the breakfast. It looks good from far away but the food was mediocre at best. Absolutely nothing was appetising. And in a country with an abundance of fruit and where good food is inexpensive, I was dismayed to see fruit punch being offered as a substitute for fruit juice.Then there’s the pool. It was only open until 7:00pm which was really disappointing. Also, because it has a roof and the pool is not heated, the water was cold. If you have any mobility issues be warned that you have to walk up 8-10 steps to get to the pool.Beds were comfortable even if the pillows weren’t so much. Malaysians really have to start using bleach to whiten the grout between the tiles. If I can do it weekly at home; so you can at least monthly to keep the rust and mould at bay. It’s so incredibly unsightly.

This hotel is lovely. The staffs are friendly, the room that I stayed in is clean and large. First thing I would usually do once after checking in to the room is to check the toilet. The toilet here is clean(mainly because this hotel is just recently opened), towels are neatly placed beside the sink, shower gels/body products are also nicely presented. I dont see any reason why one wont recommend this hotel.

First time staying in the Waterfront Hotel Kuching, the room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The staffs were friendly too. Buffet breakfast has quite variety selection but majority same food everyday. The hotel pool was indoor, not that big but kids still enjoyed it.

It was rated 5 stars hotel. But when we came here, we felt like its just a 3 star hotel. The lobby is small. Room was ok & clean. But no hand & face towel. The towel provided have dirt stain. We requested new towel but receive the new one with stain too. Paid rm300 per night and felt not worth the money. Should have choose Hilton Kuching instead

Rooms are nice but noisy. Thin walls. Road can be heard. Lots of shouting kids in hallway. Hallway music plays and leaks into the room. If housekeeping is cleaning in next room, you will hear it in your room.Breakfast is adequate at best. Lack of seating. Food running out at 9am. Took a while to restock.Tables mostly dirty. Seems like they are unable to handle the crowd. About 150 at most.Breakfast experience is changing my mind about coming back here again.

Great place to stay and relax. Very close to all tourist attractions in kuching city. Shopping included.

Stayed for a few nights in March 2019. Our room was on the Executive Club floor which meant that the check in and everything was handled up on that floor. Initially, the staff were slow to arrive with a luggage trolley for our baggage and I had to go and find the trolley myself. The room itself was very comfortable with great views of Kuching and the complimentary high tea every day was a welcome treat. The swimming pool was too cold, as it is constantly under shade and never gets heated by the sunlight. It was also full of screaming children and we were never given a towel card at check in so were not allowed to take out any towels! At the time of our stay the gym was under refurbishment so I cant comment on those facilities.

Chinese New Year Eve dinner was an important annual event for our family. We travelled from different continents to get to this reunion dinner.For the past 3 consecutive years, we celebrated our reunion dinner in this hotel.However this year was a big disappointment.The hall was crowded with no ventilation throughout dinner. All of us was sweating and suffocating for air.When we made it known to their staff, they cannot do anything about the high temperature.I noticed their air conditioner reflected 28 degrees on their wall panel.To make matters worst, their food was degraded. Prawns were not fresh, it was actually mushy. Their steam fish was over cooked and was served luke warm. Dishes in their menu were mainly made up of cheaper ingredients. There wasn’t even a simple dish of chicken.Overall experience : DISSATISFIED N NOT RECOMMENDED

The room is quite big, and the hotel is conveniently located just beside a shopping mall. Completely forgot about some personal belongings left in the room safe after checking out. Thankfully the hotel staff immediately recognised and called out to me upon returning to retrieve my luggage.
