This is like an art theatre where they host many art performance and classes. Have been here twice to watch some schools performance. The hall seating is comfortable and large enough to hold at least 200 audience. Its surrounding area is serene, with lots of trees. If youre hungry, there are a few choices. A cafe to fuel your caffeine intake, a Thai & Vietnam restaurant and bistro nearby it. There is a lake with fishes and turtles in it. The only down side is I get bad signals for my mobile. Maybe on purpose to get you fully focus on art and not your phone 😉.
Loving the experience. Staff was friendly and she led us to the theatre in a very smooth manner. The seats are simple yet comfy to be seated for 2-3 hours. The aircond is a bit cold if its not full house. Apart from that, they sells alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for you to buy before the theatre starts too. Will definitely come back again in the future.
This is a beautiful place. The driveway into this place is already an experience. Every piece of structure in this place, every scenic view is photo worthy. Love the Koi fish Centre, the restaurants and of course, the performing art Centre is by far, one of the best in the country, if not the best. My opinion is based on the overall ambiance of this place and not just how high tech the performing art Centre is.
Best place to run any events in Malaysia. Beautiful surroundings. Fantastic team /hosts.Fantastic facilities too! Perfect!
Awesome experience. Staff was friendly and they led us to the theater in a very smooth manner.
This place has more to offer than you thought.Of course, mostly for performances. But they do have small carnivals / events for family i.e. carboot sales and interactive music session. If you arent into either, there are beautiful buildings, park, cafe and restaurant for chill, dine and taking photos.
KLPac is a great place to watch any live play and other shows. I really love watching The traditional dance shows there. The parking will never be full and it is Wheelchair friendly. Theres a cafe inside the building and also classes for acting and dancing I think. The building design is just beautiful and give you the feel of being in a foreign country.
We need more local people and tourists to come and watch our performing arts industries shows. Klpac offers dance, theatre, music and visual arts exhivibitions. One of the Best place for the arts in kl. Truly recommended.
Spend my good time with family here. The park is well maintained, the environment is good. Is a good place to relax yourself by just walking around or freeing your mind. 👍
Entertainment was awesome.. and the staff also very friendly.
Its a place with calming surroundings and green sceneries. They have a KOI fish lake there which also consist of turtles and other fishes. There is a bistro and a performing arts centre too. The place could have been taken a very well care of and be much presentable to visitors. Otherwise, the place is simple and nice.
This is already one of the very few performing arts centres left in the country. I think we should do our best to help it stay afloat.
I was here for the annual event - Yayasan Sime Darby Art Festival. Needless for me to say, one of the best festival happens in Kuala Lumpur. I arrived here with KTM in Sentul station. But check the schedule if the play ends at late night.I like how most of the play is Malaysia-centered even if it is Shakespear adapted play. You can refer to the website for performance schedule, price tickets and other details.
First time coming here. The building was nice and well maintained. The performance was great.
Clean n nice place. Make ur mind peaceful wen u r there.
One of the few places in Malaysia where you can enjoy theater, dance and music performances.Sadly, I have to say that the 6 or 7 performances Ive seen here were merely okay to being slightly poor. Im not so cultured to have attended the great theaters and performances of the world, but I make this observation as someone who has volunteered in at least 20 student productions while studying in the UK.I have many friends who think this place is quaint or has charm. I think management needs to do better because the place looks run downed with dogs roaming about. The halls are super simple and extremely bare. Some of the more expensive (expensive being relative) might have some decorations or decor, but nothing great. Coffee shop is pathetic - bad service and even poorer food. Parking is haphazard and the pickup area is a choking point when it rains because of selfish drivers hogging the covered area while waiting for their passengers and there are no traffic wardens in sight.Oh, and for a cultured venue, the people who come here are not a very cultured bunch. If it rains, dont leave your wet umbrellas in the stand at the door. Tap it dry as well as you can and bring it with you or youll never see your umbrella again!!
Its a beautiful old building and Im glad its been re-purposed as a theatre. Parking is fairly easy and there are nearby restaurants if friends want to have a meal before or after a show. The in-house coffee is acceptable.
A beautiful art center. The building itself is set on the grounds of the old railway service center and houses several old buildings from the colonial days. KLPAC houses 2 auditoriums and several studio rooms for all kinds of artistic use - dance, music, singing etc. Perfect for workshops and productions. The surrounding gives you a sense of peace, serenity and focus. If youre a lover of the performing arts, pay a visit.
Amazing place
Wonderful place for art shows and theatre.
I went to this Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre for a dramatic comedy theatre performance of A Midsummers Night Dream by Shakespeare. It was very funny of that first show but the last act is sadly suicidal. There were only 2 actors in the theatre show having their face paintings on. Also more school students came there to see the dramatic act performance too.
Sentul Depot is next to it. What an artisric place
The interior of the space is really nice. The seats are comfy, and the cafe serves good food! Have to try their chicken Ho Fun (I know it’s a weird place to have that but I use to frequent that place in Lot 10 before they moved over to KLPAC).The park and lake is also a cool place to hang and take photos. There’s also a Thai restaurant opposite KLPAC which serves good food but its slightly on the pricy side. But it also serves a good view of the lake.
Nice location. Poorly kept surrounding with maintenance staff using motorbike along walking path and barking dogs.
Very nice event/theatre venue located at the northern part of KL. But then theres not many theatres in KL so bear that in mind. The venue was located in an old train shed previously operated by KTMB then converted. From time to time, you can find interesting contemporary plays, but mostly it isnt to my liking.Accessibility is not that great as it is quite inwards from the main road, you can walk but youll wish you didnt. The surrounding can be quite nice as it was kept as a greenery reserves of some sort by the landowner.
Nice place to relax and good for kids
The centre itself was pretty good, and the venue was well designed, such that we were comfortable throughout the play. The amenities were also clean and decent.I have an issue with the road heading towards it though, which was very poorly illuminated at night, making the journey quite creepy.
The stage , pa system and lighting are great in Pentas 2
Good Auditorium
Beautiful building and nice environment
Always a magical place.
Perfect place for art
Beautiful performance and training centre
Very quiet and calm most of the time. There are some drama and theatrical performances going on in the weekends. If you are an arts person then you should probably take a look at their events schedule. Otherwise, Nice place to see around. The park around this area is also nice to run/walk/relax.
Parking is pretty spacious and I just loved the scenery. However, it was a little confusing to drive into KLPAC. Overall the park, lake, theatre was beautiful and clean. Perfect for dates, picnics or just a walk.
Beautiful place, comfortable.
KLPAC is a must go watch theatre in Malaysia. Ive been here thrice. It was a very pleasant experience. Most of the performances are unexpected, thrilling and fantastic. Here; expect the unexpected. The only thing Im not very comfortable with is the seat. The ticket for the show is very affordable. There are varieties of show ranging from dancing, comedy act to plays.
Kinda hidden gem. Good venue for all the art presentations and shows. Thank you for promoting the art performing scene in KL. Keep up the good works.
Beautiful green surrounding and ample free outdoor parking. Comfortable chair with a good seating arrangement in descending order. Overall great experience for a Chinese orchestra performance.
Wonderful performing arts center that everyone who enjoys going to a show should visit when they can. The surrounding area is lovely and makes for a great walkabout the area before a show. Across the street is a beautiful Thai restaurant (Asian Terrace) that is expensive but seems reasonable for how pretty it is.So much of KL is ugly and far too urban, its nice that it still has some places like this.
Its a hidden in a green lungs within city center of Kuala Lumpur. Amazingly tranquil location. The coffee cafe there serves good coffee experience for anyone there to try.You Shld definitely try this place.
Really simple but good setting for shows that you would not mind sitting down for. Sound and acoustic is great. Pretty comfy ambience.
Been in love with this place since 2008. After a decade later, the charm of the building, the landscape, the artsy vibe, they are all still there. Great job in maintaining the place and it keep it in good shape. One can just come here, enjoy the park, grab a coffee at the bar, and relax.
Gorgeous building and surrounding areas with interesting shows and good quality classes for children. Love this place!!!
Good park. Very serene. Good for those that like to drink beer. As security wont stop you.
They have a mini library or reading section. Have yet to catch a show here!
Quite run down, poor maintenance. Roads entering are not pleasant. Furniture and facilities need to be refurbished. The weekend market is nice. Some of the classes are entertaining. Outdoor layouts need some polishing, not very well utilised.
Wonderful place for art lovers. Very vintage feel with the red bricks and its strategically located next to a beautiful lake which is good for pictures. Two small peeves are the limited parking (theres a huge car park about 2 mins walk away which is not good when raining) and that the public washrooms in the building is only on the ground floor.
Its the best place i have ever visited
Coffee to expensive there and service in espresso cafe lousy... But its quiet and serves its purpose. Food very mediocre and expensive
Combinations of rustic.. classic ... colonial.. in nature. Lots of mosquito too.. Performing art studio and stage..
Great Event location
Getting to this place was confusing. Its right into the end of the park. Signs directing drivers to this location need to be better.Venue itself is well maintained and clean.
A great venue for performing arts, it helps that it is surrounded with beautiful nature of gardens and lakes. A nice a peaceful place away from the bustling city
For Malaysia it is unique and unchallengable the best!If you compare it with similar institutions back home, them I would say it is a quite small but well run performing arts centre, in a beautiful location.
Great ambience. Pity the whole park not refurbished. Probably the owner has plan for development. It could become a landmark for KL.
Went there for a concert, the hall was clean and comfortable. Carpark is open air, so bring an umbrella incase it rains.Theres also 2 restaurants opposite KLPAC, both are good. The surrounding area is very beautiful, gives you the back to nature feeling. A nice break away from tall sky scrapers within KL itself.
A nice place surrounded by a huge park where old colonial era brick buildings have been kept for their beautiful facades and behind it modern stages and spaces been created. A real cultural hub ideal for all performing arts. A green Soho in the center of KL
It is still amazing to me how a disuse space with buildings that were abandoned was transformed into a theater that housed a few event space. Public transport is a bit sketchy but you can actually walk from an LRT station 500 meter away. Use a car as parkings are plentiful. Enjoy the lake, the beautiful gardens and the theater shows too.I did
The surroundings were a tad run down. Would have been beautiful if well maintained... after all its a performing arts centre.. music to the ears and a feast to the eyes..
