Idiyangara, a historical place where Shaik Shamsuddin Alauddin Al Homs (known among people Shaikh Semamu Koya) (Syria) came and stayed there and led a Islamic life and he died at there and buried and his Maqbara is maintained by Nandi Darul Salam Arabic College committee and many from other distritcs and states are coming there visiting his Maqbara.As per islam , praying to the Maqbara is Shirk. It is haram . In islam , praying is only to Allah . So it is prohibited.

Visited shaikh palli on the occasion of appa vanibha nercha

The Edayingara Sheikh Mosque in Kozhikode district is not the only festival of the local people. People from all over the country do not have caste religion. Shaikh Makham of Maqbara from their great Shaikh al-Shudhi Himansi (May Allah be pleased with him) known to him as Ithirangara apini mosque. This is where the famous breadwatch vows happen.
