The service was wonderful and so was the food. Everyone said their meal was yummy and the sticky date pudding was to die for. Melt in you mouth delicious. My dad is 91 and the menu catered for him and all food choices. Well done White Salt.

Went for my Sons 31st Birthday Dinner. Great food and it catered for my daughter in law who can only eat Gluten Free food. I had the Gnocchi that was gluten free as I just wanted to give it a go and boy the gnocchi were amazing. My family just loved it. I had been for breakfast before and it has always been a fantastic feed. Service was brilliant and lovely staff and I highly recommend everyone to go visit, plus it is opposite Sorrento Beach which I just love.

Everyone else thoroughly enjoyed their meals, particularly the Thai Style Chicken Curry and Fish and Chips. Service was genuine and friendly (Charlie 👍). Dessert was also yum

We waited five minutes for service and a further forty-five minutes before we upon politely queried where our order was. We were then asked by the staff to re-order. No thanks guys. The establishment was at two-thirds capacity at the busiest period during our fifty minute period of time here. Take your money and go a bit further down the road where theres plenty of similar styled restaurants that will value your custom better.

Beautifully located across from the Sorrento foreshore with stunning views. The staff were not unkind and there was not the usual attention I would expect in an intimate dining location. The food took a very long time to come out and was average fare. I had my usual squid and was hoping for something good after such a long wait. My dining partner was not excited by her food either but we both agreed the BEST chips so they got the third star.

Situated in a great location - opposite Sorrento beach. Nice opportunity to go for a coastal walk or swim before or afterward.The staff are friendly and accommodating.Nice coffee - strong and balanced flavours.

Great meal last night for mothers day. We all totally enjoyed our food. It was extremely busy but the staff were really on top of everything, attentive but not intrusive. Can highly recommend white salt for a lovely meal, good service in a great setting.

We dined at White Salt for our 39th Wedding Anniversary. I only booked online that afternoon and it asked if we were dining for any specific reason, which I ticked yes for Anniversary. We were greeted with a Happy Anniversary to you both by our waiter and offered a free bubbly or beer or soft drink. Thank you very much, very nice!We had garlic bread - yummy and very substantial serving.I had the Lamb Rump and it was cooked lovely, my husband had a Steak with pepper sauce and chips/salad - cooked lovely also.The evening was delightful, not too noisy and the service was wonderful. I would highly recommend going to White Salt.

Lunchtime on a beautiful saturday afternoon. 5 minute wait for a table, in a less than half full restaurant, seemingly unhappy staff, extremely limited menu for my vegan friend, 30 min wait for fish and chips and a salad (the restaurant was still half empty), vegan friend was less than happy to find questionable cheese in his specifically requested vegan salad which the waitress was less than interested in asking the chef if it was, infact, vegan cheese. The fish and chips was acceptable, not great, but ok.Overall a very disappointing experience.

Seriously I highly recommend this place, all was AMAZING, as a vegetarian girl I felt so Happy that you guys have super vegetarian yummies options. Gnocchi was fabulous, Cauliflower dish surprised me completely! Warm staff, nice vibe and the view is perfect. Please extend my gratitude to your Chef and kitchen staff, what a good job!!! Ahhh almost forgot to mention the Affogato Frangelico 🙌 loved you have this option in your menu. I am coming back for sure :)

Lovely venue to pop into for a quick drink and watch the sunset or a meal with family or friends. We like to call in when we are out walking with the dogs as the outdoor area is dog friendly. We always have delicious food and the staff are efficient and friendly.

We went to the White Salt not knowing what to expect and I have to say, the experience was beyond great.The menu is big enough tp satisfy any taste and craving and being vegetarians we tried the cauliflower salad and we both ordered a portion of gnocchi.The cauliflower salad is placed on a layer of sauce that mixes perfectly with the flavours of the cauliflower and the rocket gives a fresh kick at the end.The gnocchi were sublime and both me and my friend cleaned the plate (note she is a professional whiner and she had nothing to complain and loved the food).They come with fresh vegetable and a pea puree, the light and tasty flavours make it hard to leave anything on the plate.The desserts made my friend light up, she loves ice cream with frangelico and was not disappointed.I wanted to go with tiramisu but I chose the cake of the day, chocolate pinenuts and fruit. It was a good choice (check the photo)A special thanks to the chef for creating the experience and making it so easy to binge of the food. Kudos on those flavours, just amazing!

Great place. We went there for breakfast Sunday 13/06/21 with a crew of about 20 (pre booked of course) for family birthdays and a catch up. No one from our group had a complaint. The coffee and tea were spot on and the food was excellent. We had a fair range of the menu and it was all good. The service was excellent as they managed to get everyones order spot on and in good time and we didnt feel any pressure to move on. It would be nice to see an up to date copy of the menu on google so that you could check it out before you go. Highly recommended.Edit: Went back today (28/8/21) for lunch with a crew of about ten. We tried a good selection of the menu and everyone was really happy. The meal sizes were generous to say the least, I had the fish and chips and cant see myself eating too much more for the rest of the day. The staff were excellent, super helpful and friendly. Once again we didnt feel any pressure to move on. A great place for a lazy Saturday afternoon with sun, fresh sea air and a couple of beers. Fully re-endorse my 5 star rating.

Staff were nice, the steak in my steak sandwich however was dry as an arabs sandal and resembled a very cheap cut that you would get on special from woolies for 6 bucks, my dog would probably have turned his chin up at it, the missus ordered a sticky date which was also cold so a little disappointing. The staff took it back and they must have microwaved it with the ice cream still on the plate because it was almost completely melted when the dish was brought back. Wouldn’t have broken the bank to get a fresh scoop rather than serve that.

We celebrated a birthday on Sunday 4th July. The meal was delicious and we had a great evening. Staff went above and beyond to accommodate us during the covid restrictions. Thanks so much. I highly recommend the White Salt Restaurant.

We had a beautiful weekday lunch here - slow cooked lamb and king prawn risotto - the food was superb and generous portions.

We booked for the seafood platter that White Salt put on sometimes. This is the third one we have enjoyed. Such great value. We will definitely be back for it when it is next available. One suggestion - could you have fresh fish instead of the crumbed acknowledging that it may increase the cost ?

They had a Roasted purple cauliflower dish that was amazing. Dish of the night, in my opinion. Their other entrees were great too. Best garlic bread ever. Unfortunately, their steaks were tough and while the barramundi was cooked perfect, the overall dish didnt have a lot of flavour

Nice little place! Food came out very fast; both entree and main. We had Fish and chips and a steak sandwich for lunch. Friendly and efficient staff, best squid (entree) I’ve had in a long time! A bit pricey but that’s how much things cost these days I guess 🤷‍♀️

I booked a lunch date with my partner ,were the first to order , ordered the fish curry which was served as a mushy tasteless dish and the fish and chip I ordered hot crunchy chip and received warm chips and the fish had no taste whatso ever just bland flakes like it was a river fish.So disappointed a downer to the day.

Food was great. Serving staff were great. What let this experience down was the attitude from the manager on the day.

Great night out, booked a table for 9 people and the service was great, Staff very friendly and attentive but not hovering. From the steak and lamb which were cooked perfectly to my delicious Spaghetti with Fish and shellfish which was heaven, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Looking forward to going back again soon and hopefully might manage to fit in a dessert.

Awesome place to celebrate our anniversary. Watching sunset over the ocean whilst feeding on the magnificent food of White Salt. Had the good old fashioned Prawn Cocktail to relive past memories & whilst it didnt arrive in a cocktail glass, it was fresh, tangy & superb. Seafood linguine with just right amount of chilli, oodles of seafood and pasta cooked to the exact second made for a memorable meal and great night. Even more important, the service is simply outstanding. Great food is nothing without the service, happily White Salt has both. Highly recommended.

Two office colleagues had their birthday just recently and seven of us decided to celebrate it at the White Salt last week. We arrived early and had drinks outside, enjoyed the magical evening ocean view and sunset. Dinner was delicious, we could not fault it. The service was attentive, friendly and prompt. The birthday girls enjoyed the complimentary glass of bubbles. Great night we had.

The restaurant was pretty busy for a Wednesday night which is testament to its food. We were given a free glass of bubbles as it was our anniversary - a nice touch. Enjoyed the food immensely and the service was unobtrusive but efficient. We had a dessert to share and I finished with a kahlua with hot chocolate which was yummy. Very reasonably priced.

What a great casual meal! Great to see the place busy and real atmosphere on a Tuesday night. Food was lovely even though we could see how busy the kitchen was, Maybe a cheese board next time please ;-)!

Attended WHITE SALT for an Anniversery Lunch with friends.We have been here many times previously and have always found the Food ,the service and the ambience to be excellent in every respect.A lovly little bolt hole to enjoy a quiet lunch or dinner.

Great meal. I had the porterhouse and it was really tender and my wife had a huge piece of salmon which she enjoyed.One little gripe . We arrived early and sat at the bar until table was ready (not long). I found the bar stool a little uncomfortable (needed some padding).However overall it was a great night out . Visiting from Victoria, I met up with a friend here for dinner tonight after nearly 2yrs. It was a lovely setting opposite the beach watching the sun set and our waitress was very bubbly and helpful. The food however was the downside of the evening. We shared all our dishes and my friend unfortunately walked out of the restaurant to throw up in the bin at beach across the road. The only thing we didn’t share was the raw salmon from the shared seafood platter. I would have headed back in to talk to someone, however my friend needed some assistance and had a long drive back to Rockingham to get through. Disappointing end to what was a lovely evening of catching up. Not sure the shared seafood platter is worth the price for how much you get and there was barely any hummus on the board with bread to warrant that much bread, but the croquettes were amazing.

We had a lovely dinner. My Baramundi was delicious and well cooked. The Gnocchi my partner had were not as light and fluffy as he would have liked.The service was prompt, friendly and professional.

Very friendly staff. I have severe allergies and the waitress was very understanding and helpful. They were able to accomodate for me and made sure to keep checking in to make sure everything was okay. Beautiful view of the sunset. Will definitely be back.

Having been here several times I have to say the food and service here are just ok. There are much better options nearby. The service is sometimes friendly but other times has been quite unfriendly and the food quite mediocre- not terrible, but not great either. Could do with happier staff and the chef needs to lift his/her game. Wishing this local place well in improving!

I booked a table for Fathers Day dinner. Dad is a celiac and often struggles to find gluten free options when dining out so he was delighted to see that most of the menu here was gluten free. All the meals were beautiful and very reasonably priced. The barramundi, steak and curry were all cooked to perfection and the service from all staff is welcoming and friendly. Dad said it was the best dinner hes eaten out in ages so thank you Tim and the team at White Salt for helping to make it an extra special Fathers Day 😊

We held our end of year staff party at White Salt and I couldnt recommend the venue any more highly. I have been to White Salt on many occasions over the past 12 or so years and the food and service there has always been exemplary. A big thank you to Claire, Lucy and staff for making it such an enjoyable experience and a big thank you especially to your chef for another 5 star meal. Over half of my group had not been to White Salt before, but all will return at some stage - everyone commented on how much food there was and how good the meals were - well done White Salt for exceeding all expectations and making my birthday so special. 😘🤗

Came here for dinner on a sunday and was seated outside. we were told there was a wait as they were busy and we were more then happy to sit around. got a little cold outside so we requested an inside table and got one straight away which was lovely. food eventually came (drinks came immediately) and it was lovely. i ordered the salad with low expectations and was surprised. actually a good tomato, boccocinni and leaves ratio😂all the food was lovely and service was great. thankyou!!

Came for Sunday morning breakfast, got a lovely table outside. Sevice was very quick and friendly, food was served within 10 minutes of ordering. I got fruit toast, reasonably priced at $7.50 and my husband got the Sunrise Breakfast, was nice enough but no bells and whistles. Sevice was 5 star and food was 3 and a half.

Ordered the seafood share plate for 2 for my daughter and I and thats exactly what we got!2 prawns each..2 squid rings each..2 oysters each and some smoked salmon with 1 slice bread each!.....really????..as for the salad.....A

Beautifully prepared Barramundi in an environment that skirted for easy conversation with a pleasant window seat. Bit pricey but you gets what you pay.
