Sorry to say ..!!One of the worst restaurant in town ... Just 40 rs meals theyre providing for 150 rs and packaging and delivery charges extra !! .Rice would be enough quantity for a single person but the curry dishes youll get very very less quantity .By taste wise youll find hell lot of places in Calicut to have better lunch .Very much disappointed by quality and quantity of the food ... The food was too good. I had kottayam meals from the place. Good ambience, good attitude of staffs. Parking might be a bit of problem there since its located at a pocket road.

Food is ok.. Not extra ordinary.. Rate is too high and quantity is too less.. Over all if you give rating its 2/5....Reply to the owner reply : -I have ordered directly from the shop.. Not online.. And for what we called kozhukkatta in kannur area and chicken curry is called pidiyum kozhiyum here.. Both were very little in quantity.. Genuinely speaking, you can pay maximum 150 for that(I think its more for that quantity) and the shop is taking 220 for that.. Not a reasonable price. I forgot to take pictures.. Otherwise I could have added that too to clarify my point..

A must visit place in calicut. They bring authentic taste in their dishes. I have to wait for 15 minutes to get a seat as I reached afternoon. Limited dine in place. Even though that limited space was fabulous. The architecture and lighting provides a traditional vibe. Lets come to the main area,food. Varieties of kanji is available. Pidi n chicken curry, kappa biriyani are the other attractions.For me it was a good experience.

From the fact that I went here and bought various porridges, I realized that it was very foolish to drink porridge based on the name.All of the porridges I bought were bad for each other.Nostalgia is only in the name. It is not in quality and taste.

Being a local guide and a Foodie I used to taste the flavours around the places, which ultimately led me to kanjipanthal few months back and which turned out to be a good choice, the kinda of choice which made me to recommend kanjipanthal to friends and family to have good food.But the incident today occurred has changed the whole perspective. As today being a sunday for dinner we decided to have dinner from outside and cuz of my suggestion the whole family decided to have food from kanjipanthal. As I already been to the place before and knowing the types of kanji I ordered 3 Kanji and other dishes. It was a take away, we reached home within half an hour and when we all sat and opened the parcel containers an awful smell came from the Kappa (the side dish, the one which used to be with all kanji) making it hard to have it and decided to keep it away and have the kanji. But the kanji was of same condition as well as the kaada mutta thus we decided to bring back the kanji and Kappa to kanjipanthal after adressing the same to kanjipanthal(over phone) so as to make them aware about the situation of kanji and possible return for the same as discussed over phone. But the management have been so dramatic that they accept the Kappa has become rotten But the kanji aint, (they tasted) they have been continuously defending for the quality of kanji and as a justification they have said we (the family of 7 ) must have different taste buds . Still they arent accepting their kanji is rotten.The incident have in depth made a huge understanding about how even though the customer and their family even after compromising their dinner and decides to bring back the food to address the problem, wont be accepted as it is all about the - Taste Buds and not the quality..No more kanji panthal and no more recommendations, a word worth of acceptance could have changed everything. 🙏🏻

Place- Ambience is excellent. Clay glasses are nice. Clay spoons and pots are very creative.Food - they have variety of non vegetarian food. Pidi and kozhi was good however pidi was cold 🥶 which gave me some stomach issues. Pls serve hot food always.Spicy chutney - The chutney is very spicy so expect watery eyes and nose. You can ask for halwa or water melon juice to get rid of that. I would prefer to get some curd as well which was not available.Kanji has Kappa, kanthari chutney, pickle and one upperi with Pappad.Location - near cherooty road which is easy is to find.Cost - cost is little overpriced for some items especially tye kallummakkaya was priced around 250 rs.Welcome drink- it had too much sugar. I dont think cold drink should be served before having food. That will destroy the Appetite. We packed all food because we were not able to eat anything. I doubt it was that cold welcome drink.Service - they service is excellent especially how they behave with customers. It took sometime to get water which I think is a issue. Water should be served first not last.Dine in - there are only limited seats. So you must expect a waiting time up to 15-30 minutes.Menu - they have lots of food variety however lacks a menu. Menu should be displayed inside as well for people to order. I had no idea of the food items and end up ordering something which I didnt like at all.Reduce hurry- the whole experience was like go, eat and get out was not so appealing. People were making too much noise with the bells especially kids and talking. It was not that peaceful. This is because the space is too small. I even felt little claustrophobia after 5 minutes after the closed the doors.Masks - the waiters do not wear masks. Kindly wear masks and glouse which is a matter of safety.Overall - I would give 4 stars because I have gone to many restaurants and this one stands apart from all of them. 2 star for ambience, 1 star for service and 1 star for food.

Very low quality food. A rice, mor curry. Vegetables and fish curry have no taste at all. Beef in the herd is beef without a feeling. Totally liked Mor. Only. 120 / - if the price is RsOnce it comes and eats then that customer is less likely to go there. Kudumbasrees Rs 20 rice is much better than these

The meal which is full of love .. At noon, the porridge went to the pandal. An ordinary meal was said. Five pieces of beef fry came with the meal. A piece of fish and chicken came. Coffee, veg curry, toran, kantarichammanthi and pickle came. കോഴികോടൻ ഹലുവകഷ്ണവും .. കോംപ്ലിമെന്നറി ആയിപ്പോൾ കൊഴുകിളവരുന്നു .. The mind rejoices after the meal only from certain hotels..This is one such hotel in Kozhikode
