I booked this hotel for 2days. Second day after my work I entered the hotel around 9pm. During my key collecting time I asked for drinking water and soap.But there are refusing because of unavailability of house keeping person.This is very bad experience, unfortunately theres no Shop opening near that hotel.

Budget hotel with Ok ish facility, situated in a bit interior place, rooms are good and staff is cooperative, had a good stay there for 3 days, they have gym facility also, if you are looking for a hotel which doesnt cost you more, you should check this hotel out.

Service level has been terribly dropped since Hotel is directly maintained by the owner. Poor maintenance, facilities and support.

On 16th May last month there were two friends coming from chennai. They ll reach railway station at 4. 30 am. I got confirmation only a day before their visit, that i couldnt get enough time to book a room. In online check in was 12 pm, so in my case it wont work out..i called many hotels in kozhikode and asked to do adjustments to prepone the check-in so that i can book online... But room was full evry where that they cant assure me regarding check in. I called to Span too @12 Am.. They said the same, also added that they can give room directly... So in that situation i booked room and promised to pay by 10 am next day. They charged 2200/-For one day. They were about stay for two days.. unfortunately i didnt even check the room..By evening after completing our work I visited their room, i feel like guest house in guruvayoor..There is a crt old tv with lines.old window ac which is shivering with a sound while turning on.. An antique fan which is making iritatimg sound.Bathroom was terribly dirty.Light was not working.First i asked to change the light,but they didnt.Nobody came to change the tube light.I got Iritated asked to change the room at reception.There were two guys at reception One with beard n other guy with moustache, n were very rude and arrogant. They told you should have check the room before taking...i argued them that at 2200/- you will get far far better rooms at kozhikide.But they were not even ready to hear me.. They were like you take room or leave,we dont mind it. Anyway we will get customers..They were not ready to reduce the price..so by night 10 i vacated the room n shifted my friends to Hotel central gate Opposit KSRTC Bus stand, mavoor road.. They were very friendly and flexible with rates as well as check out time.. Rooms were very good too..So even if i stuck in railway station, i wont take rooms at span, kozhikode ever... Beter i will sleep at railway station or bus stand.. it would be far far better to have mosquito bite from there than from old, underdeveloped Span, Kozhikode.So thank you Span... Never ever

Hotel is big with many rooms & 2 lifts, rooms are clean, restaurant food is good, staff is courteous, very thoughtful of them to have a cradle for infants at the restaurant which will be very helpful for moms with newborns. No hot water in the bathroom (they provide in a bucket when requested) which was a bit disappointing. Otherwise had a pleasant stay.

Tucked away from the hustle & bustle of the city traffic but well inside the centre of the city itself, for Hotel Span, its location is its USP. Easily reachable from the two private bus stands as well as the KSRTC station and railway station, span offers a calm & quite comfortable stay on a budget. The rooms are quite spacious and tidy and the service is good.

It is an old hotel. The rooms, too are old. Though they have trying to keep it clean. Repairs are currently underway. The hotel is located in a very convenient location. Breakfast is okay but dont expect too much variety. Even better hotels can be found in Kozhikode city at cheaper price, but this is still a very reliable hotel. Great place to stay family.

Not good. Seems like a older lodge with an old ac equipped. Intercom is not working. Bathroom is not upto the remark. Room service food are very expensive. Charging more than a 3 star hotel for food. Hot water is not available on shower. For hot water you need to fill bucket. Shower cannot be used.Overall very poor service.

I attended a function here, so I will not be able to give any insights into the rooms in this Hotel.The halls here were just above average, nothing special. But there were several halls available on each floor. I guess the hotel survives by providing halls than rooms. Just my thought, I cannot talk about the policy of the Hotel.The food served was good. I spent a whole day here and had breakfast, lunch and tea. It was all good.The parking space might get congested on weekdays. I was there on a Sunday, so there was ample space.Overall, the hotel really needs renovation. The building was in below average condition. The staff was polite and professional. Good food.Honestly, I would only recommend this place if it is very economic. Otherwise stay away.

Last month one of my friend happend to checked in for one day stay, while he was making the payment through card the next day, their machine showed network error msg, and he got a SMS that amount got debited from his account, when he showed it to them they told that the amount aint gonna credit to their account, even if it is credited, they will REFUND them within days. So he settled it with in CASH TOO. After 2 days he called them like 100 times asking to REFUND the amount. even send them a scanned copy of my ATM statement to show that the amount actually credited to them , but still he havent got any proper reply from them!!! Dont know why its taking so much of time for the to DO THE REFUND , AND TALKING ABOUT SERVICES I REMEMBER HE TOLD THAT IT SUCKS TOO!!. If theres any option for negative star i would have given ( -5) .

The stay was pretty good, but not up to the mark as expected. The uncontrollable fan regulator made me sick during the night. Despite of that the hotel ambiance was so nice, especially the fish tanks they kept in each floor and the way they organised the chairs in the balcony was awesome.

Good hotel for a short stay. Rooms are big. Sofa and bed is good. But air-conditioning system and tv is to be renewed. Bathroom felt congested and can have improved facilities. As a whole nice economic hotel.

I have mixed memories with this hotel. Conducted more than 15 training programs for 7 day schedule. It is horrible experience to eat same stuff for more than a week is quite difficult task, but as per the budget approved by company Hotel was compelled to serve same menu for all days. I started my corporate life at this hotel. So, it is a part of my professional life

I booked for 1day, but wanted to stay for only 4-5hrs, as i came for an interview at NIT . So I needed early mrng check In and I also informed them that il be reaching early By 5am. But, when I arrived at the hotel, my room was actually ready but they made me wait for an hour or so and said me that, early checking in is only at 6am it seems and only then they allowed me in.I cant understand the logic behind this. Kindly consider things Like this in the future for people who arrive at your hotel for these kind of official visits.The ultimate point is, I paid for the whole day and stayed for jus 4-5hrs..I didnt even asked for waiving my charges on that behalf. So making these kind of silly rules was disgusting.On the whole i had a unsatisfied stay. the room was fine, but old.fare was too high per day.2 to 3.5 /5

It is an average hotel. The rates were slightly high. We were 3 people and went for a non AC double bed room. 350rs additional was charged for the extra bed. It is good for a short stay as all the main places are not too far off from the hotel.

Myself a sales professional and I am traveling a lot as part of my job. In Calicut I used to stay in **** Select Residency as per my conveniance. But I had a very bad experience with the same hotel, they are not up to mark in the cleanliness and also they are providing a very poor breakfast and over priced.The worst part was that when I complained it to the Mangaer Mr.Sivaram he was very rude to me without considering my gender. As a woman and I prefer this place continuously because of my safety but the unwanted interruption even in the room also making me to feel unsafe.

Is a good place for a small get together of about hundred pax. Couple of smaller halls as well. Affordable rooms, both AC and non AC. The restaurant is average, offers a buffet lunch. The major drawback being lack of parking space.

It is a good clean hotel. There are good options for conducting conferences and meetings. They will arrange food also.
