A great experience and really good ambience for a Restaurant. It is well maintained and well known old Restaurant in Kozhikode near the beach. It has a separate bar and Restaurant. Rooms are also available here. I have been to their Hut Type restaurant and was really good. I have tasted their special kerala style pizza and lime juice it was awesome.

One of the oldest bars still operative in Kozhikode. Best location. They have the open air bar with live barbeque counter, AC bar and bamboo styled bar as well. Good customer experience for me with this bar. The rooms are decent and vintage fashioned. One of the cost effective place to chill out with a mug of beer near Calicut beach.

Disclaimer: Sharing personal experience only.While the hotel and food might be good but its just that I encountered bad hospitality. My wife being a foreign national (though living in India for more than 2 years), was denied stayed in the hotel. They said they need covid report. Ironically they were ready to accommodate me without the report.Though this might feel the genuine gesture because of the risks COVID-19 carries, but unsatisfied for two major reasons :1. Partial racism (though might seem logical)2. Poor support, guidance or apology for not being to support.

This is one of the oldest hotels in Calicut. I always wanted to try this place whenever I am in the vicinity of beach. When I went there they told the lawn service starts only after 5.30pm, which might be because of the covid situation. This place becomes packed very quickly once the service was started. We have tried a chicken pizza only (forgot which one, but I guess it was chicken tikka), for 2 this pizza was big, it is 12 I suppose though the waiter said it was 8. The pizza was nice, fresh out of wood fire oven, thin crusted, and with lots of toppings. This might be one of the best pizzas available in Calicut. We had Heineken to wash down the pizza, I felt the price they charge is a bit on the higher side for drinks, it was almost double the MRP. Service was good, the guy who served us was friendly and was patiant enough to answer our questions. Overall a nice experiance inside the place. Only downside was - since we wont during the election time there were campaigning going in the beach road by all the parties and was it was disturbingly noisy...

Amazing place to stay if you are a beach lover.The hotel is situated just meters from the Kozhikode beach with excellent heritage type building in construction.The rooms are super clean with a royal British colonial touch architecture.BAR facility is very good and you can enjoy nice sea foods from the kitchen.Staffs are well behaved and price of rooms is not too high considering the location of the hotel and the facilities.

Historic, a club frequented by British in its history. Dont expect absolute 5 star service, but its the structure and the premise thats historic. On a hot day or on a rainy day, its great to have a chilled beer here. I would prefer a rainy day so it can be a real chill. The beef dry fry is good going with the beer.... Its just as good as it can be cozy, lazy and leisurely....

A very good place with good ambiance ,but thats it. Yes they do serve alcohol but,if you have been to some bars in Bangalore or Mumbai, youd feel like this place doesnt even put the effort to attract customers. The rules imposed on the service of alcohol in the state is also to be blamed.The food is good,but the service is slow. There is not much to complain, but they could do better. Just feels like a place with a lot of potential is being wasted..

Awesome place to chill near the beach side. The hotel has restaurant and bar, open bar where u can sit in the lawn and chill facing the sea. The restaurant has great variety of sea food and meat. Both beer and liqour is available. The service is good.

Heritage class well maintained and situated prime location in the beach road. Good hospitality. Lawn facility with seaview is good where they serve food and alcoholic beverages (there are some time restrictions). Also there are AC and non AC restaurants. Food served is tasty, felt like barbeque items are bit overpriced.

Bathrooms can be made better

If youre a woman, forget entering the bar, even if you are with men. Beach hotel sure does have an old world charm with very old world discrimination. The food is average, and the hospitality depends on your gender and what youre ordering. Wouldnt recommend it to women at all.

Very well placed hotel besides the ocean. You can have a walk on the beach shores in the evening or in the morning as the beach is right in front of the hotel. The only problem with the hotel is that there are a lot of mosquitoes around and the worst part is that the mosquitoes are inside the rooms also !The breakfast menu is limited.

Great heritage hotel and bar by the beachfront. The lawn in front of the hotel is converted to a bar and its a great place to have a conversation sipping a beer. The food is great too with an outside barbecue counter. Not really recommended for family though as it gets crowded in the evenings

We were a group of friends travelling for a wedding and we stayed here for a day. Its vicinity to the beach makes it quite popular.One thing about this place is that the rooms are nice, bright and laaaarge. The size of the bath would put other hotels to shame since their bedroom would be smaller than the bath here! Every room has a sit out overlooking the main road and the beach beyond.The place had a small restaurant that serves continental food, with very less selection of the local Kerala fare.

The lawn restaurant is one of a kind in Calicut. They have just launched wood fired Pizzas. Again a first in Calicut and I must say that they are yummy. The Margarita and the mutton pepperoni which we tried were delicious.Excellent selection of liquor, local and international cuisine make this a must visit if you are in Calicut.The whole ambience of a heritage building, the sprawling lawn brings in a colonial feel, all on the positive side

Stayed here for a day. Rooms are not at all well maintained. Our room was full of mosquitoes. Inspite of them providing mosquito net, we couldnt sleep. Staff were not at all courteous and they were not all bothered when we addressed the issue.

Located near the sea, nice view of the beach from here. The restaurant offers great ambience and a cool calming breeze. Food is fine and the service not so bad. Ambient space for parking and the buildings are very old, retaining the subtle charm of Kerala architecture.

If you wanna have some food and liquor around Calicut beach, this will be a good choice. The sound of sea waves creates some extra mood. Garden bar is nice spot. Family atmosphere. Food and liquor is bit expensive. NB: they dont give gravy for any dry dish we order, which is i really hate.

The rooms are gorgeous, with high foot ceilings and period furniture.The location of the resort is right across the beach. Heritage hotel. Only 6 rooms. Decent bar. So so restaurant. But right next to beach
