The temple is situated at Kothanalloor village of Kottayam district. It is a very rare Vana Durga as the temple ‘Prathishta’(Presiding deity) in the main ‘sreekovil ‘ (sanctum sanctorum). Bhadra means good and Kali means goddess of time. So Bhadrakali is worshipped for prosperity and salvation. Devi is considered as the creator, protector, destructor, nature, power and Kundalini shakthi.
