Kotay has the remains of an old city and several ruined temples of perhaps the earlier part of the tenth century. The Sun temple, known as Ra Lakha’s and ascribed to Lakha Phulani, facing the west is, without cement, partly built of yellow and partly of red Over the lintel are Navagraha, the nine patrons of the planets, and the jambs are carefully sculptured.

The shiv or suryani temple known as Rao Lakho Fulani`s temple and ascribed to Lakho Fulani is in a dilapidated condition but its remains are an evidence of high ordered of architectural and sculptural beauty.
Nice and peaceful place. Kota surya mandir was located near dhori, kotay village. You can find sing bord on road for reach here. Nice place for family triap. The way from main road to here are little hard. There is huge parking space so you can drive till the temple. If you cant find the temple from road ask to local peoples becose the temple is little inside from main road. Nice place for photography and videography. Acient art ypu can find here like khajurao. For history lovers its heaven. There is big garden for hanging out. Nicely preservated and maintained. Clear sky and peace you can find here. Near this temple there is natural trees and birds voice you can hear. Full day you cah spen here. Lovely place
