VERY INEFFECIENT! We went to The Collection Point at Auckland Airport today (19th Dec) to claim some items that were supposed to be Christmas gifts for our families overseas. However, when we got there, it was still closed at 5am and our boarding time was at 5:20am. We rang their contact number but no one was answering. We only got hold of them just as we were boarding the plane. We ended up going back home with no gifts for our loved ones. It was so unprofessional and inconsiderate of them knowing that the people who will claim these items are flying overseas. They even told us to contact the store so they could deliver the item to the overseas address, but what if people dont have any means to contact the store while overseas?
Wasnt very happy with the service from the managers unprofessionalism.Picked up a bottle of expensive champagne,for some reason I had a momentary case of brain malfunction & ask the manager if it was ok to open the duty free security plastic packing,more than once he said thats ok.I ripped it open only to read shortly afterwards dont open till final destination.Got concerned was going to be confiscated in transit further down the line.Tryed to get another plastic security bag from other duty free retailers but they wouldnt except liability,tone was running out due to boarding call approaching.luckily I found someone willing to help.Fair enough I was responsible for opening in the first place but when Id ask the collection point manager multiple times if it was ok to open, alarm bells should of rung in his head replying NO not under any circumstances
