This is the one and only police museum in whole kerala .This museum is located inside police station compound thats the main reason for low income generation . People avoided it maybe they are so afraid of policemen. An old haunted house look once, now they painted outside walls with colourful paints but inside looks so age old and dusty.I think its a waste of time and energy going there.People in kollam city doesnt even know such a museum like this exist.I visited a police museum in coimbatore very neat and clean lots of guns ,weapons, bombs, swords, protective wear and lot more and every police officers from the gate entrance to book keeper was so polite towards me.

Very well thaught out and designed but very poorly maintained. It was exactly like a haunted house. It can never be called a museum. My family of 4 were the only ones inside the so called MUSEUM while we visited it.please avoid this and dont waste your time

Police museum is hard to find in the state as Kerala has one or two of them(dont kniw the exact number). I think it was built under the guidance B.Sandhya IPS. The condition of the museum now, is pathetic. The exhibits are in a very weak condition. The ticket rate is only Rs.3/- for one person. The structure of the building is also weak.

Police Museum at Kollam is the only such establishment in the country, that traces the history and development of the police force. On display are police arms of the 18th and 19th centuries and various other exhibits. The star attraction of the museum is the Martyrs Gallery. The musuem is also known as Sardar Vallabhai Patel Police Museum.Visiting Hours: 0900 - 1800 hrs on all days

The museum was opened in 2000.[1] In addition to arms and ammunition of the 18th and 19th centuries, including bullets, guns, machines, and a diversity of other weapons, the museum houses information charts on DNA tests, human bones, fingerprints, snapshots of police dogs and a variety of medals awarded to policemen of different ranks.[2] A concrete statue of Vallabhbhai Patel, weighing 1.1 tons and sculpted by Police Constable Mr. Santosh, was unveiled in January 2005.a museum that traces the history and growth of the police force in India. The fact that there is such a museum is unknown to most people in Kollam. Ticket charge is just Rs 2. Everything is flawed, and we can understand the short histories of the police. Here we get old pictures and uniforms.Fix some more
