Being only one sweet shop around 3rd road it enjoys the presence of customers and number of footfalls across the locality without any competition. Though over the years cost of sweets has increased the quality has comparatively gone down with not much being added to the variety.Off late the shop has started selling Rotis/chapati and curry (vegetarian)at night which is priced quite high and some time it fails to maintain the quality of the same.

Zest is a sweet shop at 3rd road. It is popular among the neighborhood. I personally never liked the sweet much. But for me Zest was important for its Kachuries. Tasty Hing Kachuri of Zest is famous at breakfast table.The owner of the shop has an attitude problem, I have never seen him saying good things to customer or behaving patiently with them. But as 3rd road has this only one option it never looses its sale.

Rosogoll and singara is the world famous in santoshpur
